My friend hamster (who wasnt taken care of very well, a day before her hopefully natural death date, the cage was super dirty and the food hadn't been changed for months, so me and my other friend cleaned it my other friends family also has four hamsters and the first friend didn't even notice until we lectured her. Her bathing powder was expired, which meant she hadnt been bathed for two years) would let me hold her but not my first friend her owner. Payback for saying you take care of your hamster when your helper does the work and not very well either she didn't care a lot about the hamster and when she died she said it casually. The friend is nice, and good to hang out with, but I hope she doesn't get another hamster and if she does she'll take care of it well
@ITS COMMUNIST TIME It's NOT. The hamsters get stressed or scared even if ur cat or dog or whatever animal just sniffs it or gets close. So no-go for other animals!
I dont drop my hamster believe me, he jumps out of my hands (Also that squirrel was put through hell this video) Update: he trusts me now so we dont have this problem anymore!! Woop woop

Guy down the street had a hamster that served in Vietnam way back when. Sometimes I can hear the screams of the poor owner running out in the middle of the night yelling "I'm not the Vietcong! Put the M-16 down!"
"No stuffed animals were harmed in the making of this video". I'm skeptical. That squirrel took a viscous pecking from the bird. I'd like to examine that stitching...
well, it it's his/her decision to jump off then fine. just don't let it fall from too high. unless you want your hamster to sprain or break something. hamsters aren't cats, they wont survive a fall from any height like a cat. cats are probably the only animals who will survive literally a fall from any height, even from a plane.
You should give them sand baths once in a while! You can use a bowl or container the size of their food dish depending on what size the food dish is! Or you can buy a hamster bath online!
If they bites you that's mean they're scared and you haven't tame them yet.so if you want to hold them or play with them you have to tame them.i just gave some adviced:)if you didn't know who to tame them, you can search in RU-vid how to tame a hamster and there's a lot of video choices.anyways have a good day!
I see comments that say, 'Oh but I did this before with him/her and they're fine!' No. I've owned hamsters all my life and every bit of this video is true. Pine and Cedar beddings can cause a lot of harm to your hammy, and even if it does not seem like it, sooner or later the harm will show. Don't bathe your hamster in ANY water, even if it's just a little bit. The natural oils that keep it clean and dry will be washed away, and your hammy is once again at the risk of danger. Just listen to the video, and please, no 'buts' about it, because if you're an actual good owner and you love your hamster, you'd listen to the video. I'm not trying to be rude, but before you feed your hamster something, or use something on them (bedding, toys, etc.) look it up and do some research to see if it's safe!
Wow this makes me happy to see someone get their point across and it's a good one too. I 100% agree with you. People just don't understand, like If you want a pet then do the research.
I did look at fucking research and a lot of videos did tutorials on how to bathe your hamster dumbass. This is just one video that said that u can't. It's the only video I've seen that said this shit that u can't bathe your hamster. All of the other stuff is true though. Just not the bathing one. U can actually bathe your hamster and it won't hurt them I've had my hamster for almost 1 1/2 years now, and I bathe him like once in 2 weeks and he's totally fine. Don't listen to these people. I mean, I have a Syrian hamster, and he's fine with it, but I don't know about dwarf hamsters or other kinds of hamsters that will get harmed because of it, but mine is fine. I know that u can't bathe chinchillas because of their thick fur, maybe it's like that for OTHER types of hamsters as well. But FYI, MINES OK WITH IT.
Omg My hamster almost went down the stairs in his ball but he didn't Luckily, We have a gate blocking the way to the stairs cause we have dogs and we don't want them to go upstairs so I'm glad we have a gate blocking the stairs anyway
My sister used to do all of these things until my dad found out Because he is a veterinarian and gave her hamster to me because I have had a hamster before and always kept it safe My sister is a disgrace to the hamster community
My friend will have to do research on hamsters because she wants one and evrytime she comes to my house she tosses mine in the air and catches it and I'm like "you can't do that!" And She is like "it's fine she is ok" I'm like "you must of not done research on hamsters"
zenomorph arts channel, I promise you, I'm not a spoiled brat. 😡 Watch my video on how many pets I have to find out. I just LOOOOVVVVEEE animals! And a lot used to be my brother's but now I take care of them. ❤✌
"Disclaimer" "No stuffed animals were Harmed in the making of This video :-)" * after seeing all the things happened to Mr. Squirrel * ...uhhh yeah ..?
10 things you should never do with your hamster Number 6: keep them away from other animals Altight I will make sure to never keep them away from other animals 👍 I am just joking
the plushie demonstrations are cracking me up X'D but like first off what kid would slam dunk a hamster was my initial thought, then i remembered kids are literally assholes lol
youre a preteen not a kid. im talking mainly about ages 0-10 ish honestly. and dont be so offended. its statistically accurate that most children do not know how to properly handle a small rodent.
if youre under like 11-12 years youre parent? lol (jk) dont take offense, its just true that alot of kids do not understand how to handle a small rodent : )
1:15 **Chicken Number One** "Oh looks, a toy." **Knocks Mr. Squirrel Over** Chicken number two comes over. "What i miss?" **Chicken number one** "Oh just won a fight with a toy." *_*
it's okay to drop your hamsters here are some tips 1:Stay calm 2:Leave it there for a couple seconds 3:If you notice any signs of injury than take it to a vet immidently! 4:If you drop your hamster then they are most likely to freeze for a second and then start doing whatever they were doing Hope you enjoyed the tips! Btw I am not trying to boast about my hamster knowledge actually I think I don't know much about hamsters. I learned all of these tips from the RU-vid channel ErinsAnimals just to put it out there so nobody thinks I am making copywright she is an amazing youtuber and knows a ton about hamsters! Well bye!
Mine once jumped off my hand ,she then froze ,looked around and ran off....I spent an hour trying to find her ,once I'd see her she ran off ,she only had a broken leg but the vet was able to fix it up , btw I'm talking about a huge Syrian hamster not a little dwarf hamster (my dwarf hamster is better than my Syrian but more aggressive)
Or teach the hamster to crawl into a large cup/mug (not hard, since they love hiding places), carry the cup to a place where you can sit down and let the hamster out there... that's what we do, it works :)
When I was little I went to my friends house and his sister had a hamster and he took it out of the cage and threw it at a pillow and the poor creature just bounced off of it
One time, my mom took me to her friends house and her 7 year old daughters had two hamsters. Later that visit the daughter came saying something was wrong with the hamster, i was concerned cuz I myself own a hamster at the time and a healthy one it was. The daughter said she took it on the trampoline and accidently landed on it. I noticed it was bleeding and I was sure I knew how to help it, but my mom told me to stay away from it, i was pretty upset that I was the only credible person to help it. It later died from blood loss. Moral of the story, always let the credible person to the work, and don't let young kiddies own rodents. Also they had the hamster for about two weeks.
2:15 I wish my roborovski dwarf hamster could sit that still. He’s super fast and scared of me. I can’t really get him out of the cage except from when I put him in the hamster ball
I just recently found out that hamster urine on pine or cedar bedding causes a dangerous chemical reaction. I knew that kind of bedding subjects hamsters to respiratory ailments. I wouldn't use pine or cedar for a hamster, but they are all different like people. Even their toilet habits are different. Some will pick a corner of the cage to pee in which will make it easy to train them to use the litter box, some will pee in their sandbath, some will pee on their exercise wheel, and some will pee all over the bedding. I've even seen one pee by lifting its hind legs in kind of a "handstand" and pee right through the bars of the cage and make a pee puddle on the floor.
SEVERAL THINGS - 1. I aM tRauMatIzeD aFteR thIs vIdEo aNd wIlL bE sUiNg 2. Expectation: "Don't let small children play with them unattended": Okay! I won't. That'd be terrible. Reality: OMG DID THEY JUST THROW THAT HAMSTER?! AAAAA CHILDREN ARE MONSTERS I'M GETTING RID OF MY SISTER *Throws into road - gets hit by car* // CARL! (Hamster) YOU'RE SAFE NOW 3. WHY THE HECK WOULD WE BELIEVE THAT NO STUFFED ANIMALS WERE HARMED IT WAS ATTACKED BY A CHICKEN, THROWN, DROPPED, AND DROWNED This was obviously a joke if you couldn't tell :> BUT I'M SUING No I'm not. I'm so bored and lonely lol :,)
have a myfatherfriends familly come in house and a son of father friends come too my mind was thing:don't distrub with my hamster But.... My mom said to their : can play with my hamster and that child make my hamsterdrop from the table 2 hours later... My hamster die...
We had been told the exact opposite when we accidentally got ours and asked the vet for help. She said we should definitely feed them fresh fruits and veggies, but also a little meat or fish as they are actually omnivores. Ours loved surimi for some reason. We always looked up if it was safe tho. We also let her walk loose in the garden under close supervision where she would nibble on clover and wildflowers (edible ones, we checked what plants were harmful and kept her away from anything we had doubts about.)
+Madyson Claypoole you probably shouldn't do that anymore.. Hamsters have natural oils in their coat that protects them and their skin. Try getting her a sand bath instead
1.washing ur hamster can cause wet tail and skin mites wich are both fatal...and they will be stripped of their natural oils so they will not be soft anymore and they will always look very dirty use sand in a bowl... it sounds weird but its safer 4 ur hamster
