Thank you for this helpful content. All ten points make sense to me. The two that really stood out for me in my writing process now are to not be overly descriptive and to not use too many adverbs.

But I do think there's value in being able to know what's working well and what's no longer working in the author's genre (fiction or nonfiction). Even when we don't agree with industry trends, just knowing about them enables us to market our books differently and stand out from the crowd. 😃
