Saints row reboot cringe edition, ninja gaiden masters collection, overwatch 2, halo infinite, and call of duty vanguard is another game that got sabotaged by the developers.
Honorable mentions: Babylon's Fall X-Men Destiny Saints Row (2022) Driv3r (Driver 3) Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric Superman 64 Bubsy 3D Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)
kind of playing fast and loose with the word sabotage. That implies this was deliberate. A lot of times bad games aren't sabotaged, it's just how things shake out. Either they weren't given enough time or their mix of gameplay mechanics just didn't mix as well as they imagined in the planning stages.
Honorable Mentions: Blazblue Cross Tag Battle The Last Of Us Part II Tales Of Zestiria Star Ocean Integrity And Faithlessness Superman 64 Saints Row Franchise Overwatch 2 The Lord Of The Rings Gollum Jump Force God Eater Franchise
@@savagegodhandeternal7773so It doesn't count on this list since most of these games were sabotaged by their developer instead of their rival, besides it not really dead, the series still sell well, sure not the same as Monster hunter but still sell well
No mentioning of Warcraft 3: Reforged? That's a shock! That game was tons of fun(and hard as nails) when it first released, but now, it's trash, and Activision-Blizzard could care less. Drop a hot, steaming crap on it, and keep the crap piping hot so we all know that this is how they had meant it to be all along!
And yet no mention to Balan Wonderworld, a game that Yujinaka worked hard on only for Square Enix to screw him over and frame him for insider trading?! How dare you?!?!
Here’s a mention that should’ve been on this list: Star Wars: Galaxies. The original developers of EverQuest took a lucrative IP like Star Wars and made a rushed, buggy, and bare bones MMO that initially lacked basic features like space travel. Worse, their attempts to patch the game to make it more accessible to new players like the infamous New Game Enhancements only served to destroy what little value the game had to its long-time audience.
Titanfall 2 should've been an honorable mention, having its release date between the new Battlefield and CoD absolutely killed it and any chance we had of getting a proper Titanfall 3 and instead gave us.... Apex. Sighs
I dunno, I think the release date complaint is a red herring. If people wanted it, they would have bought it. It reviewed phenomenally well, got consistent an solid coverage from gaming media (at least those in the media that weren't busy fondling Overwatch's orphans at the time). TF2 is yet another example of people endlessly complaining about wanting something different, but only spending money on what's familiar.
Oh Anthem and Avengers! You both could have bee SO good! -If you were like the old halo games! Have an offline single player campaign and an online multiplayer campaign!
Yes metal gear solid was bad and to be honest with you I didn't like metal gear solid 5 but there's people that's desperate for a new metal gear game or remakes there's a lot of people that wants his metal gear solid trilogy so what the f*** are you talkin about dude
Fitting that No Man's Sky preceeds Anthem on this list given they're games that bith suffered at launch, yet the latter was able to right itself and is now considered a major success. The difference? For all the mistakes made in development, Anthem was positively crucified by gamers and gaming journalists, while No Man's Sky was criticized and then largely left alone to lick its wounds. To this very day, Anthems issues are misrepresented constantly (this very video points out its MTX as a key issue, which it was not) and it being a EA/Bioware game put it under more scrutiny than any other game in the genre. Small wonder EA abandoned it given the endless negativity towards the IP, even though its actual issues were not only entirely fixable, but not unique to Anthem at all.
For real... in my opinion Anthem was a masterpiece in gameplay and graphics! So sad that they didn't listen to the community and just went for an micro-transaction game...
I'm going to be buying them metal gear solid trilogy so what the hell are you talkin about I talk to a couple people that wants this trilogy I don't know what you're going on about
You forgot to mention that the main reason EtD performed so poorly. Rushed development. Bad idea for 2 completely new development teams, especially when changing plans constantly. I dare say that this game is worse than Sonic 06.
Not really because it's still well liked and the dlc made the game much better. Yeah there are people who hate it and some fans have issues with the story but the gameplay was good.
@@staticshock4239 You call near invincibility, almost infinite air time, and practically infinite combos good gameplay? And that's not even going into Attraction Flows and the excessively flashy animations.
