I just had abdominal surgery, yes, they put straps on my arms to little side supports, just like crucification.

I had surgery on my upper body teo weeks ago and my shoulders hurt from my arms being strapped for hours so they could get to my ribcage. So yeah ^^"

@@swantjefoolcan9650 hope you're doing better now, even with the rib pain, but the straps are NOT because your body fights intubation or the sedative (they administer a paralytic with the sedative, its the anaesthetists job). the real reason is usually just to stop you arms flopping about, or to help keep the arm in a nice supinated (palm up) position for the anaesthetist to get easy access to your median cubital vein in your arm. any pain you get from the arms is usually due to the surgical team pushing the arm about, leaning on it during an operation, or when you get rolled over. in addition the sedative/paralytic mix they give you can often cause slight muscle pain. from a med student

So he shows up, and gives a speech saying that he’s fully against any kind of lyrical sensorship, and compares their ideas of censorship to Nazi book burnings pre-WW2. The man is a legend, he had nothing to do with the heavy music scene at the time but chose to stand up for art anyway

I'm definitely not a fan of them but there are bands you like and support and bands you don't like. The ones you don't like you respect and just don't listen to it. The "hate thing" is childish and gets you nowhere near a productive conversation.

the main this that is somewhat fair is that everything after their first 2-3 albums have been very simlar and also just like fred durst the singer of nickle back have been known to be somewhat of a ass. The rest is just memeing and bandwagon behaviour

I understand where the hate for Nickelback comes from. Their first 4 albums were decent and most people can probably agree on that. But when All the Right Reasons came out, I see where the hate starts coming in. Personally, I don't have a problem with the album, but you can tell they definitely got a little more pop on songs like If Everyone Cared and Far Away. Dark Horse, that album is good, but it's literally all about sex and getting drunk (with the exception of Just to Get High, which has an excellent message). Here and Now, it had some heavier songs that even modern Nickelback haters have said they like (This Means War), but they get more pop on this album (Holding On to Heaven, Don't Ever Let It End, Lullaby). No Fixed Address was all over the place, from a disco song to a Flo Rida cameo. Plus, you can tell the heavier use of Ryan Peake's backing vocals on some songs, probably due to Chad Kroeger's voice issues that lead to him having surgery. They redeemed themselves somewhat with Feed the Machine, with even hardcore Nickelback haters giving praise to the title track.

Yup. It's hard to argue with a genius.

You are probably a lot more invested in this issue than I am, but from someone who works in an acute care setting there are definite benefits to circumcision. Condom caths work a lot better on a circumcised penis making incontinence much less of an issue, better protecting skin that is already prone to breakdown. For those that are circumcised there is no risk of penile strangulation if nurses do not properly position the foreskin after pericare. Also, some of our elderly patients who have poor hygiene (many times due to disabilities) have gotten to the point where it is no longer possible to pull the foreskin over the head of the penis, making it difficult to properly clean that area and increasing risk of UTIs if cathing is a necessity.

Nickelback can outclass everyone simply by the shitload of money they have in the bank! Add to that the fact that All the Right Reasons sold so well that anyone dissing them statistically likely owns the album and you've got a band that's pretty much impervious to all the hate they get. Yeah, Chad Kroeger is an atrocious lyricist and Nickelback's music is generic and uninspired, but always remember that at one point a LOT of people liked them, and that's more than can be said for most bands rocking out in their garage.
