Your example of the fleas in a jar, made me think of the book "Who Moved My Cheese?". If anyone has never read this short book, give it a try. It's a paperback that is only a quarter inch thick. Old habits may be hard to break but at times we need to purposely make changes in our lives to achieve our goals.
