With the hygroscopic nature of nylon, does dimensional accuracy suffer even long after printing? Do parts get larger over time?

so i have been fighting post print warping for a while now on larger prints. i have great bed adhesion to the point where the print will taco my magnetic bed when cooling. any tips to help solve that? it stays nice and flat throughout the whole print it only goes south when the print is done and cooling. i do have an enclosed creality k1 and i have the print cooling turned off and the enclosure ventilation fan also turned off.

One thought would be a slower cooling process (meaning no quick temperature changes).

I just started to print with carbon fiber nylon. Been a really big learning experience for me. But I have my printer in an enclosure, non heated just relying on the heat generated from the printer. Plus I dry my filiment for 24hrs at 70°c before printing and also while printing. Plus I print slow and use vision minor adhesive. The print I am attempting is requiring 3 walls and 100% infill. There is still slight warping. Other than that, the print comes out beautiful! Would I benefit from a heated chamber? A draft shield? Or both? Thanks in advance.

Ask & you shall receive 😉 Was waiting for my ultra-wide lens to come in so I could now do both horizontal & vertical videos 🤘

so you are saying we only print in vase mode less wall no infill 🤣🤣, by the way only best result on the draft shield part inside never comes close to smooth as draft shield

Hmmm, sounds like a pain in the ass. I'll stick with PETG.

It definitely can be & although I love PETG it can’t survive inside the engine bay like High Temp Nylon can with a good bit of wear resistances ASA/ABS works to but it also has about the same problems as nylon but its layer adhesion ain’t as strong

@@MinWin3D Not to mention ABS chemical resistance is pretty much no-existant compared to Nylon. Especially crucial for engine bay and (for my case) RC car parts that can have nitro, oil, high stress and heat.
