I'm always learning new things from these types of videos. I need to improve my finesse fishing skills.

Great video!!! I really liked the tip showing the EWG NED Head. I think that's going to solve the problem for a lot of people that are getting hung up with the open hook. The other tip that I liked a lot was regarding the NEKO rig and the "O" ring placement &, the hook orientation. I read an article in the IN- Fisherman magazine where some of the pro fisherman recommended using the Z-Man Bang StickZ 5 3/4" skirted soft stick worm due to the floating nature of ElaZtech plastic material and the "tentacle skirt" at one end of the bait that imparts a unique under water action even when you're not moving the bait. It can be NEKO or Wacky rigged without "O" rings or wacky rig tools due to the nature of the Z-Man ElaZtech material. I want to mention if you are using the Z-Man ElaZtech worms they recommend using the Z-Man NEKO ShroomZ nose weights & they will also work on regular plastic worms as well. I really enjoy watching your videos, thanks DEBO 👍🎣

Great tips as usual Debo. I don't use all of those techniques (no neko for me) but you always give helpful advice to us bank anglers. Thanks man. ✌️😎🎣

For the Tokyo you could use 2 tungsten weights ass to ass or a egg weight. I've never thrown it but I've seen it

Hey Debo: Completely agree with your hook choice for wacky. Another tip: when using an offset worm hook, a swivel (like Cabela's #10) will keep the worm from slipping off the offset. It's a matter of putting the swivel's first eye onto the leader before tying the hook on, then poke the worm on, then put the swivel's second eye over the hook point and up to the worm at the offset, then finish Texas-rigging the worm as normal. (clear as mud)

Semi slack line on the neko. Good reminder on working that different than the wacky and others. Thanks Debo!

Thanks, Debo. Watching the line is a great tip; chances are very good you will see the bite before you feel the bite...if you feel it at all before the fish drops it. I also like to check the sink rate of my plastics; the Yum Dinger is one of the slowest sinking stick baits out there, so it's my choice when I am fishing very shallow submerged grass beds here in Florida. I throw a Ned occasionally when there's not much cover in the pond; "weedless Ned" - not really...well I do, but I call it a shaky head. 🙂

Love the little tips/tricks videos like this. Always fun to pick up little things that you may have never thought of on your own. For my Tokyo rig, I'll use two smaller bullet weights (2 1/8 oz rather than 1/4 or 2 1/16), have the bottom weight nose facing down the wire and the top weight nose facing up. That way either direction has the rounded nose end to pass through rocks or veg, with the added bonus of the two weights providing some additional noise as they rattle against each other.

Debo, my wife and I rented an Air B and B in Richmond in December. I was alone quite a bit so I decided to revisit old Debo vids. 25 days straight of the Debomeister covering anything from fixing backlashes to using a ned rig. Sir you are quite simply one of the easiest channels to watch. I literally felt like it was old home week. Too much fun. Been fishing twice since then and not one bite. Better find the cold fall advice and see what the Grand Master has for me to do. LOL.

I always drag my Ned rig on the bottom. Drag it super slow, let it sit. Sometimes as little as half a reel turn on a 7.1:1 spinning setup. I use a 1/10 or lighter. It’s my go-to if I just want to catch a fish!

Debo, your viDebos are amazing. This was a perfect way to reevaluate my confidence lures and hooks. Thank you so much! I don’t get to fish nearly as much as I’d like to; hoping that changes soon, but your tips, techniques and encouragement go a long way to helping me out. My PB is a 2-2.5lb largemouth off a Ned rig tip you discussed! Looking forward to increasing that size and to future Debo instruction! I usually miss the lives but I catch the posted viDebos almost religiously! Keep it up, good sir from the Midwest! I was spawned in Minnesota but came to my senses and settled in Texas via a few other nondescript locations.

I like darting a ned head or the Zman finesse bulletz with a tiny fluke or the TRD minnow on it in the early spring and the post spawn, just a few hops then maybe drag it a few feet, rinse and repeat, that technique always produces good bites for me. Great vid as always Debo!

Great video Debo! The EWG Ned works super well. If you want to use a small bait take an owner J hook or J light in a 1/0 and Texas rig your Ned baits. It fits every one of them I use. Then just use a 1/8 or 1/16 ounce bullet weight and throw it on a spinning gear.

Let's pay homage to the folks that created the " Tokyo rig" and call it what it is. The "cherry rig" is what it's called in Japan. I feel like it's important to give credit where it's due. The Japanese have taught us many great techniques. That is one. Plus, cherry rig just sounds cooler. 🤘dope vid though!
