I started my transition to natural a little over a year ago… I straightened my hair for about 25 yrs straight because I was never taught to style and appreciate my natural curly hair. As you can imagine my hair was super damaged and actually straight from all of the ironing over the years. I find these videos very helpful and aspirational. Your volume and curls is amazing. I will definitely need to try the drying techniques you mentioned. I want big curly hair!!

I want highlights but everytime it seems like I lose soo much hair. Does this happen to you? Or do you have any tips on what I can ask the hair stylist to avoid major damage, loss and breakage?
Can anyone help meee So basically I have curly hair and when I take a shower it’s curly and it dries curly until I brush it when it’s dry it becomes big and Afro like and it’s not moisturized! (I’m pretty sure I have high porosity hair) Anyone know what to do?
