1. When to engage and disengage 2. Know your gun velocity 3. Use flaps 4. Rebind guns 5. Always look around you 6. Always climb 7. Control that throttle 8. Watch for bait/setup bait 9. Angle of attack
I could go another 20! Can you please make a detailed video on aerial maneuvers? A follow up on the Yo-Yo video would be sick. Also defensive flying is something I could use an explanation for. Thanks!
you deserve alot more views, you explained this better than any other person Edit: i haven't even played 10 matches yet and i became best in my team because of you (BR:6.7)
Liked and subscribed. I watched all even that I do not play AIR. But all those tips are good for air fight in ground rb too and after more than 6 years of playing WT I'm still a noob in planes
yeah this vid is underrated. I think that some commentary upon dogfights would be nice. Gosh I wish I had such mentor in game to practice RB. Good stuff, I made it to the very last seconds.
I am a tank player and finaly after 2k hours played in ground RB battle, I want to learn how to fly 😂 It's so difficult to find some good tips video thanks man see you in the sky
Great video mate. Yes I did watch to the end lol. I was a hardcore arcade player until recently when I've been getting into air rb. Really enjoying the slower pace and higher skill requirement.
Air rb is satisfying. Like you said the skill gap and planning and patience of the game mode make lining up the perfect shot all worth it... i hope this helped you in some way and thanks for sticking it through the whole video
Went the whole video well done I am a 8 year veteran of war thunder... please make a video tutorial on key board / mouse settings and control for optimum handling and performance! See ya in the air RED TAIL
Also one tip from me Know how long you can play a game For me I only can play up to 2 hour More gaming session my mental just can't handle it and slowly ended up in the bottom at the scoreboard
Hey brother, just 2let u know that yes , the last tip was helpful and your bids aren't difficult to sit through . Between yourself and yeti , I've hammered around 4hrs of tip videos for ARB as I'm still within my 1st yr and find getting multiple kills is a serious challenge. My plane IDing and knowledge of which planes have which characteristics is still lacking , but I can definitely say that your doing great work , helping noobs to feel comfortable and making WT more fun in the process
Well what an unexpected video 19:35 rolls around. FUUCK MY KIDS AWAKE, "Hold on Kiddo!" Then the realization hits that's not my kid I'm hearing oh wait now it's my kid I'm hearing and he sounds kinda pissed at being startled awake..
Yeah man 24 solid minutes of really good advice. Easily one of the most engaging tips videos for War Thunder. Just one question, how do you look around? I have got it set at the moment so that if I press ‘=‘ it will swap control modes and will allow me to look around, but I feel like there is a more efficient way of doing things. Any ideas?
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh that would explain a thing or two. I prefer mouse aim for the precision, so I guess it might be a little difficult to look around and dogfight at the same time.
@@CoorangaCorrella when im trying not to die or need to look at where people are coming from its wasd and c to use my mouse to look but when I aim its all mouse aim
@HorseToothTony Same here! Recent player (on console though, will get it on PC once I install my setup) and I learned a few strategies that I will be trying out. Playing mostly air arcade and ground RB right now. Once I learn the planes better, I'll be moving to air RB.
this is good, i was wondering if i could get any more advice on the 4.0/5.0 American p51/p47/f4u lineups and how to play them in air rb great vid, made it to the end
Made it all the way through. Good advice. I recently tried getting into RB battles with tanks and planes so I think I'm going to be a little better after watching this. I hope I can make better videos with this advice as well.
hi. I am pretty new to war Thunder. been playing for about a week now and your tips really helped me a lot in arcade battles ( I'm still too intimidated by RB) thanks to your tips, I recently unlocked the fw 190 A1 which is my favourite ww2 fighter. thanks for this video. subscribed.
Also, know your planes. Spitfires generally turn better and are slower than say, the Bf 109's. But at certain BR's, this isn't always necessarily true. That's probably the most important thing to know. Know the strengths and weaknesses of your plane and those of your enemy. Make decisions from there. Trying to Boom and Zoom a plane that is faster than you, or trying to energy trap a plane that has better energy retention than you will most likely lead to death.
Thanks you so much for that tip about the ammo belts! I was using tracers in my mgs and stealth in my cannons. No wonder I hardly ever got more than one kill in a game!
Great video man, but “Angle of Attack” is a term used in aviation in relation to the angle and amount of air going over the wing. Too high angle of attack, to much pitch or roll, will stall either one or both wings from lack of lift and can put you in a spin. And of course every plane has a different tolerance.
I suck so hard at air RB, it don't find it fun (mostly because I am bad) but flying straight for 10/15 minutes only to get killed in the first 30 seconds when you see your first ennemy because it is a BF 109 that boom and zoom you and you can't follow it because you lost your energy trying to evade while he just go up and try again and again until you die It is even worse when you play with a friend that is way better than you, you die early after flying 10 minutes and then you spectate your friend for another 10 minutes, at the end he win lot of sl and rp while the only things you get is depression A video on manoeuvers would be nice (if there isn't already one) for different situations
I made it! I am in the 1 percent. Thank you very much for the video, It really helped me pretty much. If I can actually implement the tactics is the other question.... You are very good at explaining stuff. Take that Sub!!
you explained this very well because you explain in a way for a new person to understand were as a pro explaining, they would leave little details out thinking you know it already or that it seems obvious...so yeah great vid :)
Hi tysm for this video it helepd a lot but i also wanted to ask how do you see how much ammo, fuel left in you plane and also when you have mg and cnn on lmb and rmb what button do you use to zoom thanks.
You don’t use IAS, your distance is measured in feet, your altitude measured in feet. Every tool online available to you uses IAS, as well as Altitude in meters and your distance measured in meters. Including your gun convergence distance measured in meters. Why do you handicap yourself with your unit selection?
Not a handicap for me personally. It's easier to comprehend distance with the imperial system for me. When I first started playing I was getting wrecked cause I didn't know distances or speed so switching it actually helped me out a lot
i would agree but i mean. youre only using russia and germany which are broken af at lower BRs. if you would say the same thing while showing examples in some us planes i would agree. but not all the tips work all that well with lowe end performing countries. youre also missing the most important thing in warthunder air rb for right now which is the fast climb meta.
Been playing WT for a year now, mostly Ground as I was struggling in Air a bit. Seeing this vid helped tremendously. You do deserve much more credit and subs ! Thanks for great vid !
So, your tip about climbing with America and how their planes climb into the battle happens way to often at 8.3 US RB; can't really get a win either as the enemy team has the altitude and my team dies in three minutes.
No real good nation i think! Usa maybe! They have the most guns and ammo out of the nations and survivability! little forgiving on missing shots and can take some hits and keeep going!
I personally don’t learn so much here but you give a lot of good advices to new players! And of course, I have watched to the end so I let you this comment ! 😉
Thanks for the great video. Having not played the game for 3 years and being confused as is, videos like this are a huge help in relearning the game. Looking forward to checking out additional videos from you!
