I think using ivy is better cuz you find in anywhere and cotton is use for making clothes and farming is Soo slow I would still try it tho😊

Ive player survival craft since 2014 and i know this stuff already. Btw i recomend carrrying arround spike traps for hunting. Just place it arround yourself and hit with a rock if youre fighting against agressive animal, it cant hit you, and if he is like a donkey, then place them arround him, useful if he runs away

You should put "make sure not to cook a raw food until the fish icon turned brown and make sure its in the chest so it won't get rotten fast" and "putting rotten food and dirt inside a chest can make compost" that could help, also the first one is annoying because i have full set of iron and bears can't defeat me but the leaves could, what's even worse? It's cruel mode...

Some more extra tips that might save your life Make armor: combine 2 strings with 4 woods and you get wood armor (pants and chestplates), one of the most useful early game items you could obtain, it completely negates all damage with a small chance of failing, durable compared to its cheap price and it could save you life if you find yourself cornered by predators, a must have Farm cotton: In case you don't find vines, gather some wild cotton, make a farm plot close to the water or collect water and plant as much cotton you can, its cheap, easy to maintain and it's a great way to renew you old clothes, providing slight protection and insulation Clothes don't make heat: make fur coats and mire but ALWAYS get your body heat up with campfires first before going futher in cold biomes, cover your head and feet first, and you might avoid death by your own fist Risk it all to get it all: if you see a tall mountain, you might want to climb it, since it coukd contain an special kind of tombstone at the top, the thing will have a cross made of small sticks being held up by a pile of stone, when broken, it gives you GREAT amounts of xp, filling you experience bar by 3/5ths, but be wary that i could take you a full day cycle to get on the top and go back
