this vid was hella funny and informative, i don't think i can/will ever subject myself to this endeavour but it was still a really enjoyable watch! thanks for the guide!!
I remember the first time raising a small bird. I bundle wrap a ton of seed and trap myself inside a big statue box because I dont want some stupid hound to kill them before mature lol
@@JJ-ds2get-her yes it does. I tried it when I was experimenting with them. You can also do it with small bird, but like you said, not very useful cause they will follow you again when they see you. You can put them on a pen, go a bit far and log out, but they will imprint again as soon as you go to feed them
@@lloyd2226 My bird seems to still think I'm the parent. Here is what I just did: 1. create a new vanilla server (small map size). survival, local. 2. spawn a smallbird, fast forward 10 days and it becomes a teenbird 3. disconnect the server 4. restart the server, and the teen is still following me. I took the local server online, and it still followed me. I feel it won't disown if I'm the server owner?
I started growing birds at the same time, from 10 small ones I got 10 medium birds, 8 of them became tall birds after 18 days, but 2 remained medium for another 5 days (and then I lost a world). I don't know if that happened because I used pan flute to stop them fighting or any other reason.
@@JJ-ds2get-her I was spamming pan flute during all these transformations because I was afraid that Large ones will kill Medium ones, so there were almost no fightings.
why go thought all this trouble when you can just use a telelocator staff on an already existing tallbird, and then burn his nest, so you make sure that tallbird lays a new egg in your base!
