the playing more 1s tip is def the most helpful, but for me, it's the most challenging. I've been d3/c1 in 3s for at least a year now, and still struggle to win games in plat 1v1. I've definitely missed out on a lot of improving from maining 3s. I feel super awkward with the ball alone, and can not flick for anything. It's so mentally hard to play 1s and I quit so easily, but i know that's the only way I can truly improve
Watch flakes' 1v1 series, don't divę into corners, and try to keep possession and your car goal side. Try to commit less, and go for fakes more. and of course try not to tilt :p Helped me a ton, thanks to flakes and aircharged gaming.
I agree. I am D2-3 in both 2 and 3s and honestly my ground play is above average for my rank but I find it hard to implement honestly. The hardest thing I find is to check what the opponent is doing and reacting to it. Often they seem to wait but as soon as you lose sight of them because the ball gets in the way they charge in, resulting in a bad 50. I think the best solution for that is what Squishy named once, think where your net is and always guard that side in a 50. Also side dribbles helped me a lot since you see the ball and the net with opponent better. As for learning better car controle, I would recommend training ground controle a lot and especially your first touch. Learn how to to get the ball on top of your car with minimal boosting and practice bounce dribbling and shooting. Flicking, from what I understand and can myself has mostly to do with your speed matching the balls speed and where it lies on your car. Watch the sparks when carrying it, you want no sparks when jumping with it to keep it close to you. Aerial plays I would be careful with in 1s till you really get better and that takes a lot of time. Otherwise watch Flakes in 1 v 1 without mechanics. Force the opponent to play off the ball by feinting to engage and than pick it up somewhere in the corner. And with practicing good first touches you have good chances to outplay others.
The thing I love about this video is you also explained really well how to practice them in a doable way, lots of people just go like "use that pack" and that's it. I already knew all these things but never really practiced cause I didn't want to spend much time playing the game without actually playing the game, but honestly things like the air roll can be easily done in those 30s while I'm waiting to find a match.
I'm trash at this game! I watch all these videos and see all these tips, and then when I go to put some of the things that I see into my game I look like an unranked rookie! I am stuck in Silver (made gold a couple of times), but I suck. I can't seem to judge the ball in the air. I'm always whiffing, and when I do contact the ball it is the weakest contact which leads to transitions by the opponent. I play a lot in Free Play and in the training packs, and even there I get so frustrated with myself because I don't seem to be seeing any improvement in my game.
I feel ya 👍 I'vr been stuck in gold forever and can't seem to improve enough to the point where I can rank up. Having said that it's also the reason i keep coming back to the game.
I'm curious what platform you play on? When I used to play on PS4 I was trash. I started playing on PC and it was so much easier. PC has a lot less Input lag.
@@joshuadeville1123 I play on Xbox. Yeah, lag is the worst. I will look on my screen as if I am first to 50/50 balls and then if there is a score by opponent, I will watch replays and see that it shows me like no where close to the ball even though I'm real time my controller will rumble as if I touched the ball
Go to private match, choose pillars map. Put time limit to 15mins. Ground dribble the ball and do figure 8s. Then once time is up do aerials figure 8s. Next go to free play and bang the ball off the wall. You are silver so allow to bounces. Then bang the ball off the wall. Do it for 5 mins. There is training packs that will help you for your designated rank but if you can bang the ball on net. You will make it to plat. Practice your ball control on the ground.
A tip with the speedflip that I use now but wish I knew (I am high Dimond, champ peak) is flip at a 15 degree angle, not a 30 degree angle, and then flip cancel. (or in my case, holding down after the diagonal flip) I've been going at a 30 degree angle for a while without knowing it and wondered why I fliped so much to the side instead of straight for kick-off's. Also a general tip is learn the basics before the flashyness, which is why I am hardstuck Dimond since I like to freestyle
For anyone curious, I got out of gold and plat when I learned how to air dribble. I’m sure it helped with other things like ball control, but I was able to score a lot easier when I learned a mechanic that most other players can not do. Getting out of diamond I learned how to ceiling musty. I learned how to play the whole field other than what’s on the ground and that helped me greatly. I’m now in Champ and honesty I just need to practice lol
I really like how #9 is basically just to play with your friends and have fun. At the end of the day this is just the most important thing. Just having fun and a good time.
Hey, I love your videos, you are absolutely insane at the game and very fun to watch! If possible could you do an in-depth tutorial on high level rotations in 1s 2s and maybe also 3s?
Yo Kep, I've been playing this game since 2017 and sponging all the tips on youtube to get better. This is lightyears away the best video out there for improving your game, no matter where you are coming from. Thank you man. I love that you've been making more content like this, I know it only helps my competition now but I wish I had this video when I was starting out and seriously nobody is doing it better. Cheers
I actually already do all these things and currently still stuck at plat 3-diamond 1 in 2s and 1’s even though I can see improvement in my gameplay however it is harder for me since I can’t play the game that often. I only get to get on the game for maybe 1-2 times per week so its very had to keep my momentum of improvement. My progress is very slow for people as busy as me with jobs and other responsibilities compares to someone who plays the game every day all day unfortunately. But these are great tips because whenever I get a chance to get on for 2-3 days in a row I actually see a lot of improvement within those days and I do rank up or “peak” the more I play. Sadly once I stop playing because of life, I return in a week to feel very rusty and cold on my mechanics and processing of the game.
I'm beginning and have been on 2v2s and let me tell you, teammates always going for a ball that I could have made a goal on has screwed us both over consistently. I'm always in the background trying to pay attention to where the ball is going next and I let my teammates take shots. Don't always rush a ball.
This definitely will not work in high levels. BUT playing casuals, I love hitting an early frontflip into the ball. this can even counter sloppier speed flips, as it gets an immediate hit after the opponent strikes it first, usually right over there head. against less talented opponents, it can also just win you the kickoff, getting the first touch
1 tip for ranked play with some who is the exact same level of play as u might be hard to find but u will or like if ur plat 1 if he’s plat 2 that’s good I was going back and ford on my rank then I found him and we went up 2 hole ranks in a day
In start off kicks I first boost then when I'm close to the ball I dodge into it so I usually get the first touch and my hit overpowers the others which will cause the ball to most likely fall on their side
I was Gold in 2v2 and silver in 1v1 but 1 season i decided to play just 1v1s i lost a lot of matches even dropped to bronze. But once i started improving i made gold 3 in 1v1 and i made diamond 1 in 2v2. 1v1 really helps
The tip for playing 1v1s is so true, even though it's extremely tilting it lets you improve your skills more and when you win that one game when the opponent is toxic it's so satisfying Road to 125k
Except if you try his double jump method to get in the air you loose your second jump that could be the difference in hitting that Ariel. Or letting the team hit it. So dont waste your second jump for just gettingnin the air if you dont have too
Tip. If you need to get back and it’s like you need to get back as fast as possible. Then if you hold boost you go 5% faster while holding boost even when supersonic
Thank you so much alphakep. This really helped me a lot. Because I quited rl for a year and thought to come back and I was losing so much 2s and 1s games and my aerials was so bad. But now that ik these tips I think I can become pro one day❤.
Hey AlphaKep, I loved the video where you analyzed Zens gameplay and reacted to it. I would love to see another video of you reacting to another pro. Keep up the good work brother, love u man ❤😊
How do you turn off the training buttons ? I have air role at LB because it feels natural but now its also the shot towards goal button which i cant change!
My first tip. When you start seeing the ball go crazy and peoples Pings are Off the charts and you see crazy touches passes etc when you’re only in plat. They are cheating. I’ve reported so many ppl it’s crazy.
I've been plat for 2 years and I haven't improved at all, the only thing I do in games is clear it to the other side and im usually good at saves but i rarely score goals. Literally the only thing i can do is half flips and fast aerial nothing else
I actually never used free airroll. For a long time i didnt even know, vthat it exists. I just saw a video, put my airroll keft and rigt also l1 and r1 and then just prscticed untill i was really comfortable. Idk how and when i got consistent but yh i still dont use free airroll
So i know this might sound obvious but everything gameplay mechanic wise transfers from ps4-ps5. I know it should be inferred but i also know that next gen “UpGrades” get fucked up all the time
Such a good tutoial Kep, some interesting old videos of you I there 😂 but thanks for taking the time to do these, I always take something away from them ❤
dude ive watched so many “how to speedflip” videos and ive recreated everything and im still nowhere to doing it and its so discouraging man like idk what to do
I wish someone told me how important it was to train speed. I got stuck in c1 for a thousand hours bc I didn’t train speed as much as I did mechs and game sense
im trying to reduce the amount of times i go for backboost, it leaves me out of the play completely when you can actually do a lot of stuff with 30-40 and being in the play
I just wanna rank up from plat 😢 I'm hard stuck and I've been told I am unteachable and helpless I am tired of being plat and being bad no tip has ever helped me
