As someone who is just learning to do their makeup in their 30s, this was the most helpful video for me. I noticed a significant difference in my makeup after applying your tips. I hope you do more!
Great reminder. I'm going to age myself here but I still put concealer under my foundation. Even though I see most of the makeup artists use it after foundation now. The eyeshadow for eyeliner was so great for my aging skin...it looks so much softer. Love all the tips. Thanks Morgan
Powder blush all the way as well as setting powder for the face in the way you showed and I have mature skin. Once you spray your face with some sort of setting spray your skin just comes alive! The CT one is my favourite and works really well at locking everything in. Thanks Morgan for all your great tips. You look absolutely stunning and very sophisticated!! ❤❤❤
Lately I've been falling back in love with powder blush. As much as I love the seamless blend from a cream or liquid they just don't last as long and a dusting of a lighter pigmented powder can really save my makeup in a few hours!
Morgan, I fell in love with your videos. Really. You create great content, I don't like short videos on Instagram and Tik Tok. You are professional and kind, not like some affected influencers. I would also be very pleased with videos from you such as the most popular brushes, or PR unboxing and hauls. Great work, I applaud and look forward to every new video.
The tip about the ABH stencils: YES! I have been using the petite stencil for years to fill in and maintain a classic shape that fits my natural brows and it makes doing my brows so much quicker and foolproof. Powder to fill in with the stencil and a gel after to separate and set. ❤
I remember the easiest routine I ever had was a light swipe or two of a small eyeshadow brush using a random auburn/brown eyeshadow! It looked better and was the quickest, easiest application
I have dry skin and I love baked powder formulas a lot (ie: Milani blushes and Hourglass everything). I love loose powders. I’m 49 so I have to be careful and moisturize deeply but if I do then I can get away with more powders. I love pressing powder (with a puff) into my under eyes because it’s so smoothing and blurring. Fun video! Loved it!
U did the wing so effortlessly! Arg I have hooded eyelids so wings are tough. I can do liquid liner perfectly fine. It's just the wing angle for example. I've use all kinds of tools, like tape, stencils, stamps. And it NEVER turns out lol. NEVER
Quick tip for those of us who baking doesn’t work for. Use a THIN layer of powder to set everything down first and then go in with packing the powder on to absorb all the oils in the skin/products. Going in with a lot of powder has never worked for me even though I am EXCESSIVELY oily all over.
22:32 **tip for curling with slow drying mascara that worked for me. I used to curl with mascara years ago (in the 90’s), but i was one of the rough ones who DID pull lashes out so i stopped curling all together, until i tried this - I swipe some black or brown eyeshadow (to match the mascara) onto the little pad of the curler using a little foam eyeshadow applicator before going in on not-yet-dry mascara. it prevents sticking and even boosts up some volume/pigment to my lashes. I havent had any issue with the shadow falling off onto my under eyes either because it seems to just be completely absorbed by the mascara. 👍🧡👍🧡
Oh this is my favorite foundation too. I have mature skin and I still Layer cream blush and powder brush. The Jane Iredale is amazing and the compact is so good for travel.
Carl, After mascara😮 I cannot wait to try this … I do my eyes first including my top lashes with mascara.. I don’t do the bottom until the end because I make a funny face when I’m doing my bottom eyelashes and then the top tips make little black dots across my lid🤬.. I can’t wait to try it .. and I too do not like a wet mascara because it makes a mess plain and simple. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I CANNOT WAIT TO DO MY MAKE UP TOMORROW AND SPREAD MY FOUNDATION WITH MY FINGERS. .. I HAVE NEVER DONE THAT AND ALL MY YEARS OF DOING MY MAKE UP. Thank you❤
I’m going to try it once again: I LOVE your content. You are my nr 1 go to ( Nikki La Rose and Alexandra Anele are the nr 2 and 3😊). BUT , I still believe that you have a combination dehydrated skin. The products that you mention you love the most ( perfect example: the Kiehl moisturizer) speak to it. You clearly prefer the products that deeply HYDRATE but DO NOT LEAVE OILY residue - humectants). Whereas dry skin NEEDS EMOLIENTS- because it lacks SEBUM. This is also why you occasionally suffer acne breakouts. I’m not at all surprised it may feel like your skin is dry. I also get it because I myself have ( quite demanding) oily dehydrated complexion ( on my face- my body is the whole other story 😏). These are my three cents of knowledge and experience regarding complexion acquired over years. Keep up wonderful work!🩵🧡💜✨✨! I wish you consistent growth and all the success that you so much deserve!!
Thank you for the tips!! I also spread my foundation in with my fingers but I always have trouble blending it out with a brush. I always get brush marks or it's not even. I also use the It Cosmetics brush. I always wind up going over it with a beauty blender to smooth out the marks🤷
The most natural looking and easiest foundation to apply for me was the OG bare minerals loose powder foundation with a kabuki brush. I only started using liquids to fit in🤦♀️
I have extremely dry skin and ive been using the khiels ultra moisturizer and it's enough to hydrate me I'm so in love I bought the gift set of 5.7 and 1.7 oz packages for 81.00 at sephora its enough for over a year that's how much I love it and I'm low income❤😊
Eyeshadow primer yes definitely makes a difference. I've got the Milani one and love it. I use a small amount of concealer instead if running late or not bothered for it to last all day but if I want my Eyeshadow to really last all day I use Milani
I do like cream products because I'm so dry but in hot weather it melts off my forehead❤ these were great tips Morgan I knew most of them but you are correct they are nice natural tips❤😊
I appreciate these tips. I have been part of the beauty world on YT since 2015, and I have seen some fads come and go. These change. GOOD TIPs are very helpful. Once, I did put mascara on, and I forgot to curl them. I curl them, and you are spot on. Love this. I just got a clear pomade with the cutest tiny spoolie and spatula at the other end. It is new to me from Lithe, and it is clear, keeps the brows in place to well an alcohol wipe and shot in my browns, and they were waterproof. 😅 He laughed when I told him. 😂❤😊
Been watching your videos for a while now. This one is the video that made me push the subscribe button. I was like… this girl is so fun and helpful with her content how can I not subscribe.
Great tips! :) I have normal to dry skin and hate cream/liquid base makeup. My skin under eyes is very dry and I never use powder on top of concealer unless I want to look like my grandma.😂I noticed many influencers use a way to much concealer. I don’t think in real life look good. I apply a tiny amount of concealer in the places where I need (dark areas) using a liner brush to control the amount and spread it with a concealer brush. Before I go out I check once or twice and fix creases if is needed. After that the concealer stays in place all day. After many fails including the Sisley concealer (that one was painful to put in the garbage bin) I bought the Chanel Sublimage concealer and never go back. It’s simply the best concealer for (very) dry skin under eyes and actually is 2 in 1 - corrector and concealer. It’s expensive but judging after how much I use each time I am pretty sure it will last 2 years at least. In my opinion it’s worth every penny because, like you, I think if foundation and concealer look bad on your face it will ruin your makeup no matter what products you use after. And, of course, the most important part is the skincare. If you don’t take care of your skin properly and fix your problems if you have any the makeup will look bad even with the most expensive products. I will try the tips with setting spray for eyeliner and the one with using a eyelash curler after applying mascara.😁 Thanks for sharing!🙂
Hey Morgan, I love your videos! I love that you’re so honest about your reviews and really enjoyed everything I bought which you recommended! Thanks for the tips :) Btw have you reviewed the Ilia stick foundation yet? I’ve been wanting to know more and your opinion is the one I trust the most lol 😂😌
At 56, I just don't bake. I use powder, absolutely. I love the ND powder foundation. But i don't do the traditional baking...just a bit of powder under the eyes to set the concealer, and that is it. I don't know, maybe i should try it the way you show here...
I'm not blessed with much when it comes to natural beauty, but I'm so glad I don't need eyelash curlers. My eyelashes are naturally curled, so all I need is mascara lol
These tips are so great! Would you use your foundation technique with cream foundation? Would that work to try to spread a cream foundation with your fingers?
My brows are totally different from my natural brows, I get them threaded thin and long like all those bollywood celebs, and have been doing that since I was actually 13 when my mum took me to this Indian threading lady. I could never fathom going to my natural brows as I have maintained these long thin ones for 20 years now
Hi. Did you skip using a toner for this video or do you not use one? I have dry skin and use a K-beauty milky toner before moisturiser and it really helps. I also noticed you didn't apply any cream around your eyes. May I ask why? Finally, you didn't apply sunscreen. Do you not normally wear it under makeup?
I have such issues with the wing part. I have hooded eyes and liquid liner I can do perfectly fine. But it's the wing arg. I've used all kinds of tools, like stamps, tape, stencils. It NEVER EVER turns out well. EVER LOL any tips ?
Personally, I wouldn't recommend it. I would say it's better to use a normal face powder (like a setting or finishing powder) rather than eyeshadow or don't buy cream products and just use powder blush/bronzer. I've found eyeshadow can end up emphasizing skin texture and being too pigmented (although I tried this like 10 years ago so maybe times have changed 😂)
@@singerdude1992Morgan has lists of her favorite drugstore picks-I’ve been looking through her videos and shorts recently. She loves the Almay powdered blush
So...we're twins in almost everything... Yes, of course moisturaizer BUT...remind your 50+ SPF all year around. Yes eyebrows are the most important frame of your eyes so work on them, brow serums and not touching them for some months but the serum then find a good great expert on brows so she/he will shape it harmonious to your best shape and then you can, if you can afford it, get a microblading, it will fill your gaps and if you use brow serums like 3-4 days at night your microblading will last at least 3 to 4 years (please never ever tattoo them, microblading is higher and better solution). So after the serums and the microbladin you will only need a bit of rare beauty brow gel to set them in place. No need of powder or pencil, just in case a little Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brow in case you have some colour. Yes, Dior Forever Glow Foundation is the best and as skin tint that will last so long Fenty Eaze Drop Skin Tint always using prior Dior glow primer. And yes, less is more, I use a brush and press with a sponge to get ride of any line and will also help to get ride of any excess you applied by error. Placement of concealer is so important and for aged people as me I add a little tiny bit at the corners of the mouth and nose, just the tiniest dot is enough and I pair my foundation with the sane Dior concealer just because it's coverage and creaminess and sets itself (important for aged women). Bronzer + Contour + Blush for me POWDER, I'm done with the creams and balms so I go with powder on those, placement as said by you but check your face shape and learn your best placement. Powder, you know I love the Givenchy Prisme libre BUT never ever I powder my undereyes just because it will crease more than without powder and with no powder you can tap tap tap with your finger tips if after some 5-6 hours is getting any crease. Not baking but using a puff press it on the cover and then press the powder on the center of the face, front-nose- corners of the nose and mouth as well as over the maxillary, and with whatever is left on the cap I use a fluffy brush to set the rest of the face. Yes, of course eyeshadow primer, if you're older rare beauty or nathasha denona ones but if I want my eyeshadows to last 18 hours then I use Sigma eyeshadow primer in Ignite and if is hot or humid too. Being an older woman YES with the eyeshadow as eyeshadow liner, I don't do a real wing but a soft one with the eyeshadow and most of the basic palettes have a black or dark brown on them. I always have a basic quad with the 4 basic colours (cool tones for me) on brown and arranged one ND palette that died (suicidal jumping to the floor) and got all my beloved shimmers there. Mascara, Tower28 or Make-up Studio Mascara False Lash Effect 4D Extra Black and I use Waterproof mascara for the second and last coat (no flecking and it will clean easily as the base is a normal mascara). For lip liner I just discovered Fenty Trace'd Out it lasts forever!!! And yes only the center just in case make the heart up and add a bit more tu full the lip and tap with the finger, them I only use lip gloss or lip oil. Finish with the settings spray...used all and always come back for CT one...or just in case Urban Decay All nighter. So your tips are perfect and with time and practice ... I would add that, for aged eyes and people with a line in the undereye you can use the eyeshadow primer also in the undereye, just a line and close to the bottom lashes, and use a brush to spread it so your undereyes eyeshadows will never ever crease.😅
You can dye your brows (eyebrow dyes are inexpensive and last very long time). My mother is doing this for many years (ones a month) and nothing bad happened with her brows. She has sparse brows since she was young (practically she was born like that) and her brows are looking the same (she is in her 60’s now). Just choose a natural colour and your brows will look fuller and nicer.
Hay una fina lonea entre el make up de tu frente y el nacimiento del pelo, ahi se ve tu colorde piel real y es mas oscura que tu make up, eso hace efecto mascara japonesa
I let my mascara dry for 25 minutes and then gently curled. It just cut off all the crisp mascara (thankfully not my lashes), so there was a naked line of lash all the way across. Looked TERRIBLE! Not sure what magic you're doing differently :/
