For those dealing with infection or swollen gums, try rinsing mouth with clove oil or oregano oil with water. Glory to God, it helps me all the time when my gums are inflamed! 10 to 15 drops with a mouthful of water for about 60 seconds. Use until you get relief. Also oil pulling with coconut oil with a few drops of oregano oil 3x's per week helps with gum maintenance. Also a vitamin k2 plus d3 supplement is great for the teeth. Not a dentist or expert; just sharing what helped me. God bless!
That happened to me whenever I woke up my gums (bottom of my teeth) start to bleed every time that I spit in the sink, but I went to the dentist and I got to take pills to reduce the bleeding from my gums, and I'm so glad I'm getting a dental discount to pay to go to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned and fixed up!
Is okay I understand same here but I started flushing and I see improvements flushing brushing three times a day using listening. Then one visit to the dentist should do it
Mouth hurts. Killer headache. The pain is most certainly worse than child birth. God bless the people who suffer with this. Disgustingly painful 😖. I will try all of these ideas. I never could afford to go to a dentist as an adult. As a child I always had the most cavities. I flossed , brushed , and rinsed as a child. I still always had more cavities than my siblings.. genetics plays a big roll in a person’s overall health as well.
My mom blame me for using mobile phones and playing pc games are the reason for almost 99.9% of my problem Fever, toothache, constipation, allergic reaction, insomia it's all because of playing games, So my advice is to stop playing 🤣🤣🤣
I had a bad vitamin D deficiency and it wouldn't let me absorb calcium so it caused me to have to lose my teeth at 38 yrs. old. It lowers your self esteem or it has mine. I can't even talk sound like I have a lisp or something. Sucks bad don't even sound the same when I sing and I enjoyed doing that quite a bit. What is not mentioned at all that oftentimes it is also a sign of poor diet / deficiency of certain nutrients. Especially vitamin C is important for healthy gums. And eating lots of sugars or processed foods depletes that. Also a tooth oil can help considerably. And I know this doctor is not a big proponent of electric toothbrushes but since I started using a ultrasonic toothbrush (Philips Sonicare in my case) gums have improved a lot. I even "massage" the gums themselves with an extra head and they love it, they get nice and light pink and strong.

i had the same problem but all my dentist did was prescribe me amoxicillin and told me to swish warm salt water around my mouth 😭 i couldn't even open my mouth fully bc the pain went to my jaw, ear and tongue so imagine how painful it was to swish around the water
@@jetmirbruci2415 yes it actually did however on my prescription it recommended i take it 30 min earlier than the actual time i was suppose to take it. only because it takes a while to kick in but it helps. only problem i had was when i tried to sleep the pain came back but maybe i just needed more pillows
Very interesting about the no toothpaste. It's probably the first time I've heard about it. I think my issue is too much raisins, even though they're great for oral health dentists say. High potassium, which most people lack potassium.

Thank you very much for your awesome dental advice Dr Nemeth. I just invested $600 in a new night guard. Wish you were closer to Chicago I would have made a consultation appointment with your office. There are only 2 LANAP certified Periodontists near Chicago in Skokie & Glenview. I think dentists don't refer pts to periodontists early enough because they want to make more money from pts that don't get effective early intervention or preventative treatment by periodontists. My dentist who also does Biohorizon implants says he doesn't refer to periodontists only endodontists! I think I'm going to refer myself to LANAP periodontist after I get my night guard. I don't have bleeding gums yet, but wore braces & have some some teeth with gum recession that I want treated before they progress any further.

Yea I'm now using a hard toothbrush, mainly to massage my gums at the gum line. I find it to be more effective. I tried with soft toothbrush at first for a few months but my dentist said my gums are still swollen so I'm now using a hard one.
I am not a doctor but personally I use a harder one and I massage the gums themselves with a separate toothbrush head. It gets worse the first time you do it I guess the inflammation is what is needed to then improve the gum health. After 2-3 days you will find your gums nice and light pink and the swelling is gone. At least that was my experience.
I have the second stage of gum desease because my dumb ass was lazy and didn’t brush my teeth i regret it now and my teeth are probably never getting better.
I am very frustated with my swollen gums. I am currently wearing braces and my doctor keep saying that I dont brush my teeth properly and she advised me that I should brush my teeth 45 degrees which is what I am doing right now but my swollen gums is still there. I am too frustated that I want to remove these braces and stop making efforts. I literally dont know what to do anymore.

Hello Desi, the laser procedure is called LANAP. Many dentists have the capability to do the procedure. However, often times a periodontist will be more experienced in the procedure. Good luck with your treatment!

Thank you sooo much for this, I have final exams next week, and need to be studying, but my gum was swollen over my wisdom tooth, and I could barely even eat, and it's uncomfortable even when not eating. I thought the fizzy drinks I'd had earlier were the culprit bc I don't typically drink them and they were acidic+high in sugar, but I completely forgot I'd had popcorn yesterday, as I literally only had less than half a handful someone offered me, and I immediately went to floss after watching the popcorn part of this video, and lo and behold, a popcorn kernel bit came out from the gum after like 5 minutes. I'm just going to eat a lot more healthily overall, and stay away from the popcorn for a bit = ).
Had a stroke 2years ago They changed my medicine and they put ramipril and amlodpine and think u are right it causes my gum to be swallowing and a funny taste in my mouth. Thanks for this information doctor.

Flossing, using a waterflosser twice a day is helpfull, brushing using a Soft toothbrush yet sometimes a little bit harder to get enough stimulation if you use bloodpressure meditation eventuelly swittch to no calcium and maybe change your toothpaste ( or use none) and get a good dental cleaning and of course avoid all smoking products …..😀🙏

I came here for some remedies and unfortunately number 6 is why my gums are swollen and feeling raw and sensitive. My dentist told me to rinse often with warm salty water.
@@starlite7785 what I meant to write was, everyone's face will swell up, some more than others due to all the drilling and sometimes digging underneath your teeth to clear out as much plaque/tartar that may have been missed when we brush our teeth. The numbing injections can cause our tongue to swell too and make us drool as it's like a sedative, as if your face has had a stroke 😅 So afterwards when all the numbing agents wear off and you start to feel your face, teeth and gums again you'll just feel a bit sore/sensitive, it's all temporary but anything to help the recovery process is appreciated.

Great advice, i got swollen gum after 4 days. Ibelieve is due to the 1st dose of covid vaccine cause my dad also has swollen gum after the vaccine 1st dose shot. I tired all type of method for 4 days but it did not reduce until i change my soft bristle toothbrush to a much firmer toothbrush. My swollen gum reduce by half and soft after use for the 1st time, i am really disbelieve as i am typing right now. Not as tight as it use to be. Despite my big swollen gum but there was no pain on my teeth for the past 4 days. Thanks
I was told my gums are inflamed (they are really red) underneath my dentures. They don’t hurt so I never noticed until a dentist bought it to my attention. He told me to remove them before bedtime. I was never told to do this ever. I’ve worn them for over 25 yrs. What can I do aside from that to get them back to normal. I’m scared 😟
Make sure you are cleaning your gums and keeping up with oral hygiene even though you don't have teeth. Also, use a soft bristle toothbrush and brush your dentures. Never sleep with them in. Your mouth needs to "breathe" and get a break from them. Soak them overnight in water with an efferdent tablet or just plain water. Hope this helps!
Just found your channel. I'm at the very start of treatment for very bad gum disease. I have had the first cleaning but need root planning treatment and been told need at least four treatments, but my question is should the hygienist have taken xrays as he hasn't even suggested it

Start with what you can afford. I bought powdered turmeric (organic preferably) rub it on your gums with a bit of water to make a paste. Costs $2.00 and goes along way. Chew on a piece of clove also. I've got pain in my left cheek and swollen red. I've been to the dentist and they only done regular clean But still having the same problem. I've tried in every way to clean my teeth and gums probably. And still get the pain
If you are experiencing gum disease please consult with a periodontist. I waited too long and ended up getting a bone graft and sinus lift in order to get implants which I had to take out a medical loan. Please do not try to repair gum disease on your own 😟

@@kat.woah-man still have gum disease tho, all my gums up and down is still bleeding, and mostly the part swallowing is in front part, still red, but compare to before(2years ago) it less swallowing now, but it spread to my before healthy back tooths gums, i go dentist just last week, he notice that he already deep cleaning my gums these 2 years for 4 times already but still not healed a lot compare to his patients, like it still bleeding a lot mine, even tho not building many tartar anymore compare to before, so the dentist tell me, maybe i need to drink vitamins c everyday, sleep before 12am, and dont stress to much, and use total 12 toothpaste and bactidol everyday, and this will be a month to testing if it really gets better. I still fighting for my gums health tho, its hard, but i hope i really gonna find a way to cure this gums disease of mine!! or find a way to really go check up from a periodontist, but my parents scared the price will be so high, so i must try my best to get better this month!!

I have bruxism and woke up with molar pain this week. Went to the dentist and I don't have a cavity nor an infection, he noticed my gums are a bit swollen around the tooth causing me pain and took an xray. Nothing bad going on with my nerves or the root of the tooth but it still hurts. Should I get my gums treated if there's nothing wrong with my tooth? It feels like the pain is coming from my tooth but maybe it's something with my gums?
I brush and floss everyday, but let me tell you... these night retainers can be a bish if they wanna be, along with not wearing them for ONE night... and I have Perecoronitis rn, getting out my wisdom teeth soon though 🌞🥰
