Man, no matter how much one knows about Revit, there is always something to learn in your videos. Thank you so much. PS: time to take take down the Christmas tree.
P.P.S. In Serbia, we celebrate the Orthodox New Year on the 14th of January hence the Xmas tree in the background. Not everyone is done with Xmas and New Year festivities on the 1st of January. :)
Hey Balkan Architect.. i think i speak for many.. please make a extended tutorial of how to make (really hard) families everyone knows how to make the easy ones.. but I really want to learn how to make the hard ones.. Thank you a lot and keep it going!💪🏼!
I am Not really a beginner level user of Revit but your Videos always teach something! Also, they have gotten really good! i really like your set up at the beginning of the video! great lighting, good use of focus, and that transition was pretty smooth! You just got yourself another subscriber! Cheers man!
nice and informative. i got two things to add though 1: if you join geometry of two elements which contain the same materiel, like a shear wall and slab, the common line can totally disappear. 2: when making custom fills to elements, it is better to put solid colors to the background and any hatch or pattern to the foreground. its not mandatory, but helps one in selectively hiding hatch or solid colors with reference to each view requirement.
To add something for the Group function. It is nice to have detail group to go with the model group. For instance we Group our Grid Lines and Group the Dimensions with the Grid This way for each level we can attach Detail Group to the Grid Group without having to Dimension or Copy/Paste the Dimensions at each Level. On the same note: Another Dimension trick I've seen is How to Dimension Grids quick and easy. I used to go through and click each line of the grid. Not anymore. Draw a Wall item across the grid. Then go to the Dimension tool and Click the Options Button. Inside the options it has a box for Intersecting Grids. Click the box and then click the wall. and place your dimension. Once done select the wall and delete it. The Dimensions stay and you don't have to click each grid line anymore.
Best beginner's tip is being able dimension an entire wall in one go. When selecting the aligned dimension, there's a drop down next to 'pick: Individual references'. Change it to 'Entire Walls'. Doing so ungreys the 'Option' box where you must tick openings and intersecting walls. Magic!
When detailing the callout section and add the material ID, i got this kind of error message. how I fix that. "None of the created elements are visible in Section: Section 1 - Callout 1 View. You may want to check the active view, its Parameters, and Visibility settings."
I'm a self employed architectural technologist in the UK and I use Revit LT as the full version is to expensive. But I enjoy your videos and they are very helpful
you are going to get me a really good job this week thanks so much for the videos, i can cram these so quick make it look like i've been doing it for years thanks again
Hello balkan architect , i have a question how u can place on a sheet same plan with different scales without getting the dimensions bigger or smaller cause they annotative ? thanks
I have been using your videos off and on for a few years. They are really well done and help when you are in a pinch for a "to the point" solution to a question. Clear and nicely detailed
Hey Kuresh, this might help. I cover the method I use at most companies I've worked at: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xHLFdWDxDhA.html
Hello, i really appreciate your efforts all along, it has been very helpful, please can you make a video on how to use shared parameter to create Rebar Layer, and Rebar Comment as an additional information into rebar set for reinforced concrete detailing. it will appreciate this a lot if you can. Thanks.
Omg!!! You are genius!!! Thank you so much from cosmos!!! We all respect what you’ve been doing for us! I wish you the best and can’t wait new videos ! Ehuuuu🎉❤😊
I'm 14years i don't know about revit but my father a civil engineer ... So I'm also becoming a architect so need your help.. And also daily practicing your video via in rivit thanks ...
Hey guys I just started using revit and I know like 0 ...what's the best place to start? My priorities are drafting at the moment so floor plans, sections, elevations yeah.
Back in the nineties, Autodesk used to supply two massive volumes of software manuals for AutoCAD. Maybe these days they could do the same for the number of excuses as to why Revit is so crap 😀
Hello why are the four arrow directional markers not showing when you open Revit? I mean during startup on a plain white background or project you are supposed to see those on a blank sheet? It’s not showing and so is the Level icon on the ribbon is greyed out. I can’t seem to begin even drawing because of that.
thanks sir i like ur tutorial and I want to learn more but I don't have a lot of money to watch ur more video coz I'm still student but thanks for like this video
THANKS BALKAN THE VIDEO IS FANTASTIC , THE TOOL OF GROUP WE CAN USED IN THE LIGHTING WHEN WE MAKE RENDER , WE LET ONLY THE LAMP GROUP OF THE SCENE THAT WE RENDERING WORKING
Great video man. But I have a concern about the join geometry tool. The slab in such cases IS actually resting on the walls, or atleast the structural part of the wall, but you said otherwise. If that were the case, how would you show the wall and slab connection?
HELLO....WHAT TOOL DO YOU USE FOR DOING COVELIGHTS FROM WALL TO CEILING....CAN U DO IT WITH ONE AS ONE ELEMENT ONLY OR U NEED 2 SEPARATE TOOLS TO DO IT?I HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME.
I just can't stand he ask people to like & subscribe at the BEGINNING of each video. Seriously his videos are (most of the time) very good, but for some weird reason I find it hard to tolerate him talking. But to be honest, every time you search anything about Revit, Balkan seems the only person who would pay attention to making a tutorial on those things.
hi guys is there any way to get revit unlimited time without paying any fee? i mean 300+ euros for only a month to buy is too much. If not is there any other programm thats free and has same or less functions than revit? I am not a student to get it for 3 yrs, and i already finish the 30 days trial.
Cutting of what? Plans, sections. Yes to plans no to sections. My experience at this point but I learned 2 new things today! After 15 years, im still learning.
Hi Balkan :) - Do you know how to 'hide' elevations tags that are created in a call out? I don't want all of them to be shown on the main floor plan. I have seen in companies that I worked with that they have some setups that when you create a call out in a plan, every elevation or section tags within are not visible in the main floor plan. Not sure if this makes sense. I appreciate your help in this matter! All the best.
