On the last Saturday of March 2011, I ventured to Woodbourne, nothing too special, but the trains were. I left with 10 trains on this day, not bad for a Saturday.

CSX Q190-26 comes east on the Morrisville Line, slowing for a stop at CP Wood for SEPTA. Power today is CSX ES40DC 5329 and CSX CW40-8 7375 for power, with a friendly crew.

CSX Q418-26's power runs east to the east end of the Yard to shove in to make a pick-up with another pair of boring CW44AH's for power. CSX 582 leads and CSX 5122 trails. Q418 and Q410 have been frequent in having pairs of these engines lately.

Q418-26 comes out of the yard for headroom with 582 and 5122. SEPTA 4328 then comes east with a pair of Silverliner II's.

A huge Q418-26 now emerges eastbound out of Woodbourne Yard with 582 and 5122, with another friendly crew on board. This train was huge, and moving really slow, so obviously the whole train wasn't filmed. Note how it stopped near the end too, not sure why that happened.

This is when things got busy: A Work train, symbolled CSX W034, gets back on the move eastbound through Woodbourne with CSX SD60M 8781 with a beautiful RS3L horn and some miscellaneous work equipment on it.

Next comes CSX Q702-26 headed eastbound with CSX ES40DC 5401 and CSX SD60I 8737 leading the empty trash train.

NS 17G comes west a little bit early. 17G has NS ES40DC 7502, NS CW40-9 9448, NS SD70 2533, and NS GP38-2 5286 in Conrail Quality paint for power. 5286 should be headed to Altoona for inspection.

CSX Q706-26 is the next eastbound through Woodbourne, with a sweet EMD duo of CSX GP38-2 2567 and CSX SD50-2 8552 for power. 2567 led the Q706 on Tuesday, and today it is still the sole power source, as 8552 was offline.

The W034, Q706, and Q174 ended up waiting at Wing, Trent, and the Delaware River signals for Q409-25, which is seen headed west with CSX ES40DC 5458 and CSX C40-8 7579 pulling another big manifest.

The last train of the day was the best one. Lite engine CSX 7819 came east into Woodbourne Yard with the symbol of X989-26. They were picking Windmill parts up from Woodbourne Yard. Just before 5:40 PM, X989-26 comes east out of Woodbourne Yard with CSX CW40-9 7819 pulling flatcars with Windmill parts!
