Rajini fans say rajini better than kamal, kamal fans say kamal is the best, vijay, Ajith, sivakarthikeyan, dhanush...such fan fights keep going on and on. Money ball was recommended to me by my statistics professor as we had an assignment where we need to watch finance or statistics oriented films like the big short, The wolf of Wall Street etc. and analyse the concepts used in them. But same like you, I never did understand the calculations that well but man the story got me invested! Such a good movie! 💯

I am so glad to have seen most of the movies in the list. Into the wild holds a special place in my heart. Plus i was a fan of pearl jam so Eddie Vedder's songs playing in the background was sort of a solitude movie watching experience. 😌
Would like to recommend the underrated gem "The man from earth " (2007) - 1 room movie like "Room/ 12 angry men" - Handles sci-fi, philosophy and religion - I dont recommend the sequel ( looks like they missed the whole point of the 1st movie )
The thing is, Naatu Naatu did finally win the Oscar, and that too with the Elephant Whisperers. Two victories in a single night. None of us had actually imagined it.

I watched Moneyball some 2 years ago..but when I have nothing in mind to watch I search for movie scenes like Moneyball, Ford v Ferrari, Greenbook or whatever comes into my mind and it gives me that feel good vibe everytime.
All three movies have won at least one Academy award in one of the categories. CK and SN did win best screenplay (closest to best picture I would say). And anyways, DK wouldn't be what it is without Heath Ledger's performance and Christopher Nolan's direction. Ledger did win an Academy award

The fact that movies like Saving private Ryan, Eternal sunshine hasn't won an Oscar and it took Scorsese a remake to win an Oscar says a lot about its credibility .
Saddest part is mediocre Shakespeare in love won over Saving Private Ryan due to that rapist harvey weinstein and Brokeback Mountain lost to crash due to homophobia of academy.

Shutter Island and NightCrawler are two of my favourite movies and i still surprised that' Leo didn't get an Oscars nomination for that's and same goes with Nightcrawler, Jake Gyllenhaal didn't get an Oscars nomination whereas they both are so freakin amazing in the movie 😍

It's true that we can't pick the best one out of these movies... I've watched almost all these films and they are gems. I revisit into the wild both through reading and watching , Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless mind frequently flashes in my mind without any external nudge. I always watch the Hatteberg home run scene in moneyball. Great selection. I'm a big fan of Robin Williams..I think you should watch One Hour Photo and Patch Adams if you haven't.

Most of people see Money ball as a film but for people who are working with data and math it is a mind blowing incident that has changed the sports industry,and still it runs around it
Incendies is one of the most haunting movies that I have watched. It's a very impactful movie which I will never forget. Denis has moved on to making big budget sci-fi and thriller movies and I absolutely love all of them but I want him to make some hard hitting drama movies also in between.
What i liked mostly abt eternal sunshine was its ending. It had a heartbreaking ending but left with a glimpse of hope as both the protagonists met again for the first time.
Just completed watching Incendies, I liked the cinematography of the movie. But tbh the plot was predictable. Thanks for the suggestion though. Keep up the good work ❤

Lagaan was oscar worthy movie back then , the score , songs were >>>100000x times better than overrated Naatu Naatu , but then you get backlash for being honest , imho mr.keervani is talanted guy he deserves it he did amazing songs better than naatu naatu , just like how arr's medicore Jai Ho was over blown out of propotion, sometimes oscars are lauaghlable just like our national awards once given to akshay and kangana

Oscars are nothing but 'high budget vijay awards' , even Americans don't give a shit about it anymore , viewership has drastically dropped over years . Even last year Oscars was on the map only bcoz of Will Smith incident 😂😂. It's only us Indians who's still lusting after it .🙄🙄
in this list 6/10 I have seen. The recent one is Moneyball. Such an Underrated movie. Shame on Oscars for not giving a single award... And Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill is Phenomenal in this Film ❤
