Great gift ideas! I would also prefer to pick out my own jewelry. We picked out my engagement ring (33 years ago ) together as I think he was afraid that I would not like what he picked out. I love the custom star map night sky and think I'm going to give it to someone who just got engaged.
I got two of those blankets when they were on sale around Christmas. Love them! I get the hype. 🤣 I never use to drink coffee then we got a Jura! There is nothing like fresh ground beans! ☕️
Dinner or dinner and a movie is great, but my advice is don't plan the date for Valentines Day. It's usually over crowded, long wait, poor service, and sometimes they change the menu and only offer limited selections on Valentines day. Many places even inflate their prices. Go to the restaurant you like (especially if it's a popular spot) on a week night when it tends to be quieter.
Same on the jewelry. Also returned a couple over the years. Now I choose, give choices, hint or just get it myself. Yes to Lou Malnati’s. Had it Friday night. Their Lou’s to Go was a great Fathers Day gift when we lived in Scottsdale. Or Valentines or anytime gift.
The comfy sleepwear that we wear when we are in our 50’s is our lingerie. The lingerie we wore in our 20’s and 30’s only stayed on for 5 minutes anyway so what’s the point? I’m all about comfort at 51!!
I finally broke down & bought the blanket at Christmas because I was tired of my kids fighting over my barefoot dreams blanket. The Kennebunk is everything you promised & the family liked it even better than my expensive blanket so I had to go buy a 2nd Kennebunk already. I should have listened to you earlier!
So glad someone else feels the same about their spouse buying them jewelry. I’ve taken jewelry back also. My husband and I have been together for 30 years. He thought it was a good idea to pick out my upgraded engagement ring for our 20 yr anniversary. And I was the bad guy that exchanged it. I will be showing him this video so he sees I’m not the only one. Lol

You mentioned the Amazon Basics luggage. I can vouch for the Amazon Basics packing cubes!!! I bought them several years ago and they have endured a lot of over stuffing, and they just don’t rip, shred or break. The zippers they use just keep working beautifully. I like the luggage valentine gift idea. DH & I love travel and it’s brilliant. ❤️👍
Kamloops Cruise or Marnie, do you know if the luggage is good quality? I travel to and from the U.K. a few times a year and really need to set to hold up.
