I’m cool with Dodgeball 2, the good thing about decades later comedy remakes is it’s not like it takes away from the original like a science fiction or drama IP getting milked does. If it’s good to great, awesome. If Not, the original still makes you laugh
Plus, and I don't know why this is but for some reason people forget about bad comedy sequels a lot more easily than scifi/action ones. As in, Anchorman 2 was terrible and quickly forgotten about a month later but people STILL talk about how bad Alien 3 was and that came out decades ago.
I was disappointed that a direct sequel to The Bourne Legacy never materialized. I liked the Aaron Cross storyline. As for Bourne, I'll probably see it simply because I've seen all of the others.
Well I can't say any of these movies will be good bad or original. I do however feel like Hollywood might need to go back to making movies we didn't ask for just to get some originality flowing again.
@@1975KyleDavid that's halfway true its more like we've been rewriting the same stories since ancient Greece. That said there are actually quite a few Original Stories out there they just tend to be low budget because Hollywood doesn't want to take a chance on them so most of the time you don't see them unless you are watching an independent film Channel or browsing the b movies on a streaming service. The only time I really see high budget original ideas is when it's something sci-fi related, that's a genre that is kind of expected to push knew ideas.
Please stop referring to the remake of the lion king live action. It is 100% CG. Nothing in any of the frames was actually filmed. The jungle book remake at least had a real kid in it. Just because it is made to look real doesn't mean that animated film is live action.
@@leonardpriestley6822 It's by far my favorite action franchise and no matter how good or bad they are(I enjoyed every movie), without Matt Damon they won't be the same.
Doesn't matter if anyone "asked" for them, the studios have to make money : executives have the final say. Hopefully the next "Bourne" feature includes Cross/Kitsom from 'Legacy' in some way, as Renner is convalescing due to his accident more recently.
In the 90s, one of my favourite things to do was take acid and go to cinema. Those trips were far more experiences than simply watching a movie. Consequently, the movies I saw in that condition have stuck with me in a seemingly more meaningful way. Not to be a gatekeeper, I went into the Crow trailer with an open mind. When i tell you i almost threw up, i am barely exaggerating
As much as I really don't expect Scary Movie 6 to be that great, I do think parodies need to come back as a genre. I miss the slapstick and constant jokes of movies that actually TRIED so I'll take anything at this point (as long as it's better than 5)
As cool as another Bourne movie is, I would like a follow up to the show Treadstone. After that you could have spin-offs of the Bourne series looking at other characters in the series, maybe with a darker tone
1 The Bourne Identity (2002) ... 2 The Bourne Supremacy (2004) ... 3 The Bourne Ultimatum (2007) ... 4 The Bourne Legacy (2012) ... 5 Jason Bourne (2016) ... -Treadstone (2019 - TV Series) I have only seen the first four
Until Dawn could be cool if they have different versions out like Clue or there was a horror film that did two version, I think one with a cult ending and another with evil spirits (I can't remember the name). I would love to see 3 different movies of Until Dawn, although I imagine it would take some serious cash to do, so wishful thinking!
While it's great that Matt Damon will do another Jason Bourne movie, I say that Universal should wait for Jeremy Renner to make a full recovery if Aaron Cross will be in the next film.
Personally, I think the Jason Bourne series will take another shot, but try to set up another actor to continue the series. It will probably fail, but they will try anyway.
Films I Don't Really Find Dated. Gemini Man is almost like Looper. I actually liked The Internship. It was released in the 2010's. I don't find it dated at all. The reason why Universal was making Bourne movies, is because if they don't make many. The rights go back to the owners of the Bourne franchise. I side with Universal. They weren't doing shady or cynical stuff. I do not find Bloodshot dated. I enjoy movies, no matter what it is about. Sometimes, movies are made by any means to justify against all ends.
@lukewright9031 The Disaster Artist was a film about the making of The Room based on Greg Sestero and Tom Bissell's 2013 non-fiction book of the same title. The film chronicles an unlikely friendship between aspiring actors Tommy Wiseau and Sestero
The mufasa movie would have been fine if they did it before the last movie but honestly if it was animated in the 90s style i would go see it why not learn why mufasa and scar are the way they are with each other in film form
Not gonna lie, the Beatles one sounds kind of interesting, but I agree that as movies, thats too much. It would have been better as a 5 part docuseries. First episode shows the Beatles from conception to the breakup, then the reunion years down the line. Then each of the 4 subsequent episodes would be the individuals characters lives and their own interactions and personal perspectives on things that happened throughout episode 1. But as movies...eh.
Frankly, I think it's too late. The average Beatles fan - assuming he/she first saw them back in 1964 - is now in their seventies. Many of these people have gotten so bitter with age that they now hate American movies for being too "woke." If this goes to theaters, Baby Boomers will stay home in droves. If it's on Netflix or something, they MIGHT watch it, but they'll still be suspicious about creators half their age adapting what they think "belongs to them."
And this is exactly why some of them bomb at the box office. Making unnecessary sequels, prequels, reboots and remakes. Or side characters from previous films. Or even films about comic book villains like Morbius or Kraven The Hunter. And just because Barbie was a success. Doesn't mean we need more movies based on games/toys. Hollywood will never learn if they aren't original.
I don't disagree with this list - at all. But it should be reserved only for movies currently filming or with a close release. Neither Bourne 6 or Dodgball 2 are anywhere near that.
I'm not going to lie yet they went wrong with mufasa what they should have given us is a second live-action jungle book.... In the form of a live action tailspin
Monopoly the movie.. must be a horror film! Cause it is bloody playing thing. A family sat around the table, going on and on... and on... and on... then each finally gets offed due to the boredom!

Say no to the Crow for sure. There really is no good reason to make it today. If they want to do remakes, I can think of a few. I would want the Day the Earth Stood Still but don't change it from a story about peace into one about the ecology. Really just fix it and let Tom Cruise nowhere near it. The second one would be When World's Collide it seems like on with an enormous potential for a remake. I am sure that you could find many more in the remakes bin. The one I am waiting for is Hail Mary which is not a remake, but the book was great! I really want a book two, but he doesn't really seem to do sequels. If you want a Universe, then I suggest the Expeditionary Force series of book. They are fun and action packed. You could also do the Enders verse prequals. Or even the Shadow books. If someone wants to do a historical movie, I suggest doing one on the Battle of Samar. Another good one would be one about President Eisenhower and his contributions to Civil Rights. In this day and age, I fear that it would just tick off everyone. The left would hate the idea of a Republican President actually supporting civil rights and the right would hate showing Eisenhower being seen as "wok" and ignoring "states' rights" I guess the section of him telling people that the racism in the US was being used by our enemies to show that the US was worse than the nations behind the Iron Curtain. It is a shame, while people will claim he did less than Kennedy he did more than every other president after Lincoln. FDR and Truman also made progress on civil rights as well. It was not a Republican Democrat thing back then. Ahh Could have been a good movie...
I think it’s kind of lame that Matt Damon as an action star consists of mainly Bourne movies. I’d love to see him do an original action ip. Jason Bourne is such a tortured character and the studio just won’t give him closure.
Too funny!! That Crow remake is terrible they put no real love or effort like they used to with story film making. Digital camera and lazy computer graphic but they figure they can make a cheap penny, sad, Blessed Brandon Lee And Dad Bruce Lee Best action movie stars around amazing men.
Damn, tell us there's no joy in your life without telling us. Who pissed in your pop and called it Mountain Dew? Let people enjoy things! This was a list nobody asked for.
I'd rather get sepsis from rolling around on broken glass and rusty drywall screws covered in filth than see the remake of the Crow. It looks abhorrent, and if J. O'Barr condemns it, then that puts the nail in the coffin for me.
I hate movies with a number now that’s not Dune, some are even in the double digits. I think they need to put James Bond to rest also. Each iterations become more formulaic and boring
Best one was the last one, The Bourne Legacy. Fast pace but light, not the heavyset long boring sequences of the Damon movies. The first one was very disappointing. Top self secret agent/assasin and all we see it's a shitty shotgun.
@@sundalangur3250I didn't mind The Bourne Legacy even though it got mixed reviews. Jeremy Renner was great as Aaron Cross, but the 2016 film with Matt Damon was okay, but anticlimactic.
@jimbo9208 you have to understand he does come out of the basement very often so he does understand and neither does this channel sometimes you don't ask for movies just go watch em and enjoy what little time you got

As much as I hate WC for there SJW stands on topics I am glad they at least tried to cover both side of the Trump movie topic. It’s a no win situation.
The "live" action Lion King was beautiful. I actually cried. Until Dawn? Seriously?! If it's close to the game, I'm all over it. Besides the fact that I'm tired of hearing about Trump, what I want to know is can anyone make a hair piece that looks like his? Cause that hair piece is a trainwreck. The Bambi one looks like a lot of fun. I'll check out the Peter Pan one too. I really don't think they should redo The Crow. The fact that Lee died on the set, the same way his father did, feels like.. The best way I can describe it would be like desecrating someone's grave.
I remember thinking, it’s those damn pronouns again! Haha. What’s with this “we” BS. No, “we” don’t all know (insert negative assessment here). And partially related maybe, the regular use of overly harsh labels like, “trash”. I’m hoping narrator Ellie doesn’t write these scripts, cuz she often comes off sounding pretty bad, imo, with all the negativity. Especially on the WC horror channel.
As a African American liberal I think Hollywood is making a huge mistake casting Sebastian Stan as Donald Trump instead of Alec Baldwin. I know he has legal issues right now for accidentally killing someone but putting that aside he's the best Donald Trump impersonator on the planet. If not him then at least cast EpicLlyod.
No one cares about who asked for, they will show up Bourne. If I can watch damn near 10 Mission Impossible films I'm ok watching another Jason Bourne movie
