I have recently came across a problem of being laid off and i asked my friend to weigh in on this problem and it turns out that the best way to get rid of problems is by stating where they stem from, ramping up your skills and technical efforts , clamp down on negative thoughts and finally put up with different circumstances. That was simply how to iron out any problem in life. Thank you 😊

Hi, Ben. Just got my CAE results today. 195, so pass with grade B, which is better, than expected. I've found your channel randomly, youtube AI algorithms performed well for once :D Your videos for C1/C2 vocabulary, adjectives, etc. helped me a lot in the writing and speaking parts, where I actually scored 200+. Just wanted to say big thank you from a sh*thole in eastern Europe :D Keep up the good work. I hope your underrated channel grows to the much higher levels, that it deserves. Cheers :)

Hello Ben! Today I had my C1 advanced exam! I want to say thank you for all your hard work that you’ve put into your videos! It helped me a lot, I also bought your course and I felt so prepared for the exam. Of course I had to practice besides the course, but you made difficult things very clear to me. Hopefully I will pass! Thank you for everything you have taught me for te past 2 months! You’ve made a huge difference to my C1 exam. I would suggest everyone to buy his course if you want to pass!! It is so worth it!!

1 & 3: We should *ramp up* the time that we spend studying, perhaps we can gain the time to make it possible by *clamping down on* our usage of social media. 2 & 10: Most of the practical knowledge that I possess *stems from* studying mathematics, although from time to time I have to *put up with* topics that are not my cup of tea. 4 & 5: Once there is an economic crisis, lots of employees are *laid off* , but as soon as the troubles are *ironed out* , they might be offered to work at their previous job(s) again, since they had done nothing wrong. I'll need a short dialogue to make a clear usage of 6 & 7 in one sentence. :) Girl: 'Look at those jeans!' Another girl: 'Yeah, they're fabulous right? Let's order them!' 6 & 7: 'Sorry for *weighing in* here, but I think you should *get rid of* some of your old clothes before purchasing new ones.' I'll only substitute 8 to Ben's example for 9 here 8 & 9: 'William *comes across* as being very serious, but it *turns out* he's quite funny.' Sorry if I made any mistakes here, of course, pardon the commas after spaces as it was necessary in order to make the phrasal verbs appear *bold* 😅If that's the case, please let me know!

They had their exams on Monday and I was so happy to hear them say "It's paramount or "no triffling matter" :) Your channel is a great discovery and I like your teaching style very much. It's very similar to mine actually, I also give them a lot of "fish" :) That's why your videos fit into my classes very naturally and my students receive them really well. Since the Persian new year is on the way, people try to get rid of their old stuff during the house-cleaning. I guess there is no need to put up with all those useless stuff anymore. Besides getting rid of old things, such as furniture or clothes, it's the perfect time to iron out differences and problems and have a fresh start of the new year. Problems that only stem from some minor misunderstandings and can be resolved through communication and expressing each side's needs. 🎉

If I want to pass the test I'll really have to ramp up my efforts. I don't know where my test anxiety stems from, but I want to get rid of it. It's time to iron out some of the flaws in my English so people around me no longer have to put up with them. A significant portion of my English vocabulary stems from Stephen King's novels. When I was younger I thought he wrote trashy horror stuff, but it turns out he used to work as an English teacher before her became a successful author. One of the advantages of being a popular author is that you're not at risk of being laid off. Edit: Thanks for the video. I didn't know that "to come across" is the same in English as it is in informal German. "Das kam jetzt falsch rüber" translates to "that didn't come across as intended". Learn something new every day :D

I have so many papers I can't get rid of😢😢😢 This way you know how I'm looking forward to june. Before that, I will have to ramp up my attention to them, possibly put up with frustration and clam down on certain things that I usually do
