I know I'm asking for too much lol, but I would have liked a 3rd person visitor mode, so I can see my dinos and buildings from the human size perspective, instead of from a car or helicopter. Just being able to see an Apatosaur from ground level outside the cage would be neat
I'm so excited for herbivores grazing and eating out of the actual trees. Hiding the plant feeders behind trees and stuff like that was super annoying in the JWE 1, so the nature being the feeders helps with that. Plus we all know herbivore just camp the feeders, which was super annoying for big exhibits and parks.
@@andrewcrowley6331 bro…this is why I hated breading stegosaurs….one goes 20 ft away and now it’s unhappy and breaks out…you then make you way to get that one and since he left the rest are not satisfied so they break out too and it’s just a never ending loop lmfao
@@DJKobeOnTheBeat Hands down, Stegos are the worst dinos in JWE1. Their rating is terrible, especially for all the trouble they cause. I mean seriously...a minimum of 5 per social grouping? I don't think so
I got the JWE return to Jurassic Park Edition, I started to play from the JP dlc, the herbivores area was this huge territory where I could have easily built a secondary park in there, the dinosaurs were pretty much on their own groups meters away from each other but somehow, the parasaulophus and the stegos always gave me problems xDDD, 1 sec away from their group or if they randomly crossed paths with another group and chaos started, I remember I was like "wtf, the herbivores are giving me more problems than the carnivores, even the raptors are more peacef-, THE RAPTORS ARE MORE PEACEFUL"
2:38 aye, the "downtime" rarely bothered me. If I was stuck waiting I would just try to improve the layout and look of the park and if I couldn't afford that I would just chill out watching the dinosaurs for a bit - it's nice to have the chance to.
They've addressed almost all the problems I had with the first game, (some addressed better than others) just waiting to see confirmation on map size to buy
They actually haven't. In the latest gameplay they showed they didn't fix much at all. For example herbivores still can't defend themselves and they never even try to run away.
What I love about JWE 2 is that when beaver photoshopped himself into the game everyone thought it was legit lol but also cant wait for JWE 2! EDIT: Also, just realised that the Claire DLC was literally a proto-type of chaos theory mode. Let me explain: In fallen Kingdom the dinosaurs are sent to the main land and sold. But in the DLC for evo 1, you save the dinosaurs and send them to a sanctuary, Which was intended for claire. So maybe we can get that scenario again in chaos theory mode?
I certainly hope this game lives up to at least some of the hype and doesn’t just feel like a big DLC for the first game. Also hoping Dominion manages to close the current trilogy out on a somewhat solid note.
You mean remake? Because this is a remake, not a DLC. Well, there's some DLC that chances everything, however without some engines upgrades like a real remake.
@@youkofoxy I think they know; they said "feels like a DLC" on the first game rather than thinking it literally is one. Also it's more a sequel than a remake.
Hopefully this new game whatever you want to call it on how it feels will lead to more developments in the right places for future installments if thier is any more to be had after this. The first game felt like a test to see if it would do good or not. I think that this game will be an improvement but probably will feel like jw1 in some areas and if thier is more to come hopefully we can get better involvement with the guest and more dynamics with them as well.
With the variety of biomes, I would find it really nice if different dinosaurs behaved differently based on the biome they are in. For example, carnotaurus inhabited arid or semi-arid environments in its time, so it’d be really cool if it didn’t get as agitated in sandstorms in the desert compared to some other species or if in the taiga it’s more susceptible to snow storms.
My hype here is about the animals and enclosures. I'm so excited in making more interesting and dynamic environments. Where the animals interact with their resources and each other. I feel like there are enough systems in-place here to create and watch some beautiful stuff. And the cherry on top is everything else that has been improved and added to the game!
Can we now get an improvement to the visitors? I would love to see the park get dirty and you have to thier cleaners like in the very old Jurassic park builder (I do not know it name off my head) and just more dynamics to them like some pulling out thier phones and more interstion with everything
I’m really excited about the dinosaur behaviors. I have over 200 hours in JWE on my personal laptop that can barely run it, and a lot of that time was spent just watching the dinosaurs even back when they just walked around until they dropped dead. I can’t imagine how many hours I’ll get on JWE2.
Customization and dinosaur behavior are my top 2. The behavior we’ve seen so far just brings the dinos to life and the flexibility in customization for the park will allow our parks to have distinct moods. This gets me really excited for the game. I’m glad that you highlighted how much better this game already is and we haven’t even played it yet. It’s so easy to forget how far the first game came in just 1.5 years. And I’m excited to see the scope of improvements once JWE2 comes out.
The behavior I have seen so far shows herbivores still not having a chance against predators. They don't even try to escape they just run and in a fight they fall over like little weaklings.
@@nuke2099 u really haven’t been paying attention huh. There have numerous times herbivore escaped or fought back in the footage they shown. Herbivore will run and actuslly juke out predators or even attack
I hadn’t been looking at JWE in a while because my progress just got wiped after I did a lot in one day and didn’t know there was another coming out. Looks good though
As I said in one of your other vids, some people say to expect a JWE 1.5 but even with all the cons like the head butting the fences or only one pattern per dinosaur I still believe this game has earned the 2.0 status
@@namik0644 and kill them with electricity if they climb to much oh ya don't forget about compy it should instantly go 0-0 and ded it's a fucking KFC fried Rat but dinosaur edition like it should die instantly
@@namik0644 I wonder how hard that would be to program into the AI? probably take alot of error checking among many different areas but I'm sure it can be done
My favorite aspect of these games has always been basically everything to do with the dinosaurs themselves. For one thing, I'm getting anxious to find out what the other species are. I'm also hoping this move towards more biodiversity gives us the chance to create more paleo-accurate environments.
Personal wishlist: 1. Genetic manipulation lab 2. Breeding pen 3. Hunter mode 4. Underground/underwater/iceage park 5. Theme park attractions 6. Coliseum 7. A final boss
You know what I want? AI for the MVU so it doesn't scan an injured/diseased Dino, then *go back*. If you already have the cure for the disease or the injury doesn't require transport to the facility, the MVU should automatically fix the problem.
@@BobBob-tr7wi I agree. I am super excited for this game as well. As long as there is new content and it’s different enough from the first game. Which it already is so I’m hype for it
Well I just want to see improved humans, the humans in the first JWE just felt like robots walking around aimlessly. JPOG has the best humans in any park builder game because they feel real.
I really hope that the last biome that is to be revealed is wetlands either in the Carolina swamplands or Florida Everglades because both these environments are so beautiful I mean I witnessed how beautiful and ancient the swamps of Carolina are. Personally I really hope we get also biomes from different parts of the world like New Zealand or Australia because if Cryolophosaurus does appear in Jurassic world Evolution 2 I would really love a New Zealand or Australian themed biome for this dinosaur if it does get added. Anyway I love the video my friend, I can't wait to create a Jurassic Park operation Genesis esque types of videos in JWE2 but most of all I'm just mostly going to make nature videos from the sandbox. Personally making Parks is like second on my mind compared to just watching the dinosaurs in nature.
I'm a big dinosaurs fan, I'm waiting this game so much... I still play the first game everyday just to look at how beautiful dinosaurs are! And this video upgraded my hype to a new level ahahah
I just hope you don’t have to mess around connecting everything you put down to power like the first game, really want the simplicity operation genesis had back in the day
@@DMSledge Yeah the whole lining up stage, then the pokemon battle. The results never seemed fluid either, like no matter how much you tanked up an Anky it would rarely beat a Rex, for example.
My main problem with the first one is that there just wasnt enough in the game. Not enough things to build, dinos, islands, dino behavior, ect ect. Let us have hundreds of different dinos man. Just let us go crazy with it
I'm honestly hyped for the new potential species coming, they already used a significant amount for the first game, heres hoping for a floofy Therizinosaurus!
Lol we went from Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis to Jurassic World: Evolution in 15 years and then went from Jurassic World: Evolution to JWE:2 within 3 years
I wonder if since we are getting new biomes, that maybe means we could get some Ice Age prehistoric mammals. It might be fun to create a Pleistocene Park, with woolly mammoths, giant sloths, and saber tooth tigers.
I’ve always hated how in jw evolution 1, you only get the dinosaurs you unlock in the campaign in sandbox, it kinda defeats the purpose of it being a sandbox, all my parks in sandbox would have the exact same set of dinosaurs, but in jw evolution 2 you get all dinosaurs in the sandbox.
I love the building improvements. While I always appreciate the unique parks RU-vidrs like Evolution Square build for my enjoyment, I sometimes don't have the time to sit and hand place each individual piece of a building. It is not super simple like JWE1 but not super complex like Planet Coaster or the like. Nice balance in my opinion.
things i REALLY hope are in JWE2: t-rex kingdom river cruise(ik it's not likely but i still hope) pachy arena(the large tent with the 2 peaks near main street) a movie accurate sized mosa(i'm just really picky) and more plant variety like individualy placeable trees also this is just my opinion so please don't attack me.
I think the new animations and models is the best improvement from me. The 1st game basically had to dinosaur contact (them bashing into eachother) except for the kill animation. I hope the new animations ate good and will impress me ( especially the amargasaurus which is my favourite dinosaur in evolution 2).
I am super excited for this game! Dinos look amazing, and the customization options have me pumped. On a side note, I was not expecting The Rock all of a sudden when you were taking about the rotating rocks and I choked on my own saliva laughing...🤦🏻♀️ Anyway love your video.
Loving this hype! This game is beautiful, I am big on great aesthetics. The shots we get in the preview make me want to cry with happiness. Especially the colder maps with the snow. So pretty.
Honestly the lagoons were super disappointing to me, i mean its nice to a degree but you cant even customise the habitats, and the water is so murky you can barely see the dinosaurs, it might not be logical but if they allowed you to make clear water lagoons so you could see the dinos in there that'd've been so much better, aviaries however are great! the fact it lets you customise the terrain is awesome and lets you make really cool looking aviaries.
There are a ton of things that are being improved that I already love, but, the one standing out most for me is the improved dinosaur behaviour. In the first game, a Velociraptor didn't act different from a Deinonychus, a Tyrannosaurus and an Indominus were pretty much the same animal just with different skin on etc. So to see them actually adress dinosaur behaviour makes me really happy. I look really forward to playing this game!
Awese video!!! So I hope for Sandbox, we get everything instantly... but we have to get 4 stars on a map in Campaign mode to unlock that map on challange mode :)
Oi paleo square fren, in the daily diary #1 thing on the beginning there were some sauropods, but they looked like a dreaghnotus, or a new sauropod or else, idk if you did a video or not but that’s it, great vid :}
I 100% agree with number one. I don't get this excited for games anymore as I don't have as much free time anymore but this game, really makes me excited.
Im a huge JP fan and pre order the deluxe edition of the first game, played the crap out of it when it dropped and then rarely came back to it and was annoyed of the amount of extra content I had to pay for. This though, looks amazing. I'm also a fan of the sandbox and holy cow these changes! The amount of customization in the stores and the colors- AAAHHH I NEED THIS GAME!!!
great video! for me personally the most important thing is the dinosaur AI, this should be the main focus in development because animal should behave like an animal, not like a robot with a fixed pattern.
Next thing I would like to see is intelligent guest knowing where to run and how to hide. Perhaps running up a building, getting snatched off the building by a big carnivore.
I think I'm gonna wait until the game goes on sale, so like a year from release around Christmas, just so the game can be developed further and I can get a better look at the actual game, in case it doesn't live up to hype.
Call me a filthy casual, but I came for the dinos, not overly complex micromanagement. I know a lot of sim fans wanted more of this stuff but I hope for the casuals like me, they have a simplified mode reflective of the first game's mechanics. I felt like it struck a good balance.
I mean. JPOG is the standard. Evolution is great but it was so small in scope missing so many basic park sim features. If small indie games from the early 2000s (roller coaster tycoon/zoo tycoon) can get it right, then a AAA studio can today. Also, I find your voice very soothing. Brings peace to my chaotic 30 year old ass
I GUARANTEE - because of the backlash, Frontier will add more dinosaur skin patterns in the future as free content similarly to the addition of Rocks, Trees etc as decor in JWE1
I wish they had a ton more scenery, they should add a carcass that the carnivores can eat, add a destroyed stump and or broken tree, a fallen tree, more rocks, and different trees.
The only thing I hate about JWE2 is the scientists. Like why can’t I just research what I want to research instead of hiring them, putting them to rest when they’re tired and finding the over priced ones that are really good. And I wish they had the other hybrids in JWE1. The the stego ceratops, spinoraptor etc.
Hopefully sandbox mode this time is actually a “sandbox” where you can get every Dino when you even first get the game, not being tied to the dinosaurs you have in the campaign.
I’m usually a sandbox only person especially with planet zoo, but I can understand them doing that so that they didn’t waste their time working on a campaign for 70-80% of players to never touch it.
As someone who has played the game, I did enjoy the sequel a lot better than the 1st. It was better because of the animations and making the dinosaurs more life-like with more behaviors. Don't get me wrong, the rest was good like advancing the food and drink buildings and scientists that you get to hire which should have been something since the 1st game.
I. CAN'T. WAIT!!! THIS LOOKS LIKE THE BEST VIDEO GAME EVER CREATED! (I'm not kidding lol) Here's why: The graphics! There outstanding! And I love how the dinosaurs interact with each other! Aviary's and lagoons! Been waiting FOREVER for that! (Thank you Frontier! :D) Biomes, nice to have a variate. JWE! The first game was (in my opinion) AMAZING! And with all the features, new and old, this couldn' POSSIBLY be a flop! (Try hard to not be Ian Malcolm rk)
This is a seriously good breakdown of what's known about this game. Hype level 9000. Movable buildings is the absolute best building improvement; no more having to designing park blueprints in CAD first lol xD
I really liked JWE and Frontier's other game, Planet Coaster, but I really hope JWE2 doesn't get bogged down with the customizing. It's nice to have façade options, but sometimes too much can't be a bad thing. You end up spending more time fiddling with the small detail stuff that it slows down the pace of the game.
