House of the dead overkill, man! It’s hands down the best of the shooting games in Wii (ported to PS3 btw). Also it’s one of the best games on the Wii. Good sense of humor, profanity language in abundance, very good sound track, replay ability etc. and above that FUN FUN FUN
Thanks for the recommendations! I'll definitely be picking up Reload...I've gotta say though, that you've got Link's training all wrong. First of all, it was never a full price game, it came free with the zapper back in the day. Furthermore, it is not so much a blast 'em up game, but a precision shooting game that highly rewards consecutive shots without missing. If you re-play it that way then I think you will see that there are hours of fun there just earning the medals and besting your top scores. There are even a couple of hidden levels unlocked involving the scarecrows. It truly is a gem of a zapper game IMO.
House of the Dead: Overkill Dead Space Extraction Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles These all need to be on this list.
It's quite sad how few games got made for wii or wiiU In terms of "on rail" light gun shooters. House of the dead games (2,3, overkill) are great, and so is the port if Ghost Squad. I wish a lot more arcade games got ported. I'd kill for time crisis.
Lovr the video my whole channel mainly focuses on light gun games. I just did an awesoem longplay of dead space extraction and its amazong with emulation you can add reshade, 60fps patches and crank internal resolution to 12x!
I remember Wild West Guns on WiiWare was pretty decent for its price. & thx for reminding me about Target: Terror, gonna go looking for that & Gunslingers today
Have to try to pick up a Daytel gun! VR shooting on the Rift/Give is incredibly realistic, but I still miss the old light gun games... so I soft-modded a WiiU to play the old Wii shooters like this. I'm also going to soft-mod my PS3, to allow playing all the excellent PS2 shooters! I shoot actual firearms a lot, but I guess that isn't enough! Nice little video.
Snub Dawg I’m currently working on a video with 10 plus PS3 move games Time crisis is great! At the moment I think the PS3 is a bit more responsive although there is not much in it.
i just bought house of the dead overkill, dead space extraction, and resident evil umbrella and darkside chronicles. Not played them yet but i;m looking forward to it. i'll let you know how they fair.
I recommend 3 out of 4. Darks ide chronicles is much better than umbrella. Overkill is really fun with some cool scenarios but ridiculously over the top voice acting (can be cringey with the sort of swearing is cool vibes) but the shooting and boss fights are cool. But it is tongue in cheek and makes fun of horror tropes in like grind house sort of planet terror type thing. And dead space extraction is probably the best of the 4 with great shooting, scripted events and story. Coop is great in all of them tho.
ive got a 100 inch projector and i was going to buy a system. im looking at the wii . are all these games with a light gun ? is cod black ops a light gun game.
@@chronoslv3 arcade light guns generally need a crt display. This is a workaround that’s still very enjoyable. Some more expensive options are available
why is the precision fx actually impossible to find, I think it must've been a UK exclusive cause I've never seen one in the US, but there isn't a single one on ebay, amazon or aliexpress, maybe because it looks too realistic?
@leepspvideo its just strange when there isnt a single one on ebay when ebay is flooded with nyko true shots and various others, maybe this one is just so good nobody wants to sell it lol. the hunt is on....
if any of you can find the sequel to Ghost Squad, Operation Ghost, in an arcade near you, PLEASE play it! you can watch replays before you go into the arcade if you want to get the most for your dollar. I think you can emulate it through mame and play it with a pc lightgun
When did you film this video mate?? Whats your best 5 wii games of all time! Not including games such as zelda, pokemon, Mario e.t.c choose underdog games, ones not that common, hidden gems if you would..... thanks man, keep up the great work 👍
A couple of years ago I was really getting into lightgun games on the Wii and nearly bought this model of controller off amazon but didn't. I'm going back and trying to 100% some of these games and am dying to get my hands on the Datel Precision Fx but I can't find it avaliable anywhere online anymore :( Does anybody know where I could find one? Thanks anyway, this video was really useful for me back when I was getting into these games
Thank you for the video. I have a question about the Precision FX gun for the Wii: I heard some few people claiming that it's really hard to insert the Wiimote and that it's extra hard to remove it from the case (and I saw one person saying that the metal connector of the gun case broke his/her Wiimote). Another problem is that the C button was too easy to activate accidentally while shooting. What do you have to say about this claims? Are they true in your experience?
@@leepspvideo do you of any in particular. house of the dead was a 2p game in the arcade. many i imagine are not though like mad dog i think was a one gun game, but then LA Guns was a dual gun game IIRC at the arcade
WiiawestBang Wii Play Mad dog Mcree Links crossbow training Arcade hits: Gunblade NY & LA machine guns Reload Gunslingers Ghost squad House of the dead 2
Good list, but the Wii is not a good console for lightgun games. You're more following a crosshair than actually shooting precisely like in other lightgunshooters
Thanks, I’m currently doing a PS3 move video (not exclusively gun games). The gun games work in a similar way, they are still very playable. There is a solution for modern TV’s. blog.us.playstation.com/2007/11/12/time-crisis-4-creating-the-guncon-3-part-2/
Lol. You are completely wrong. The Wii is more than precise at "light gun" games. I suggest you try hotd overkill. I played that game to death collecting all the gold brains which requires split second reactions. When you play a lightgun game and truly master it, you don't have to even use a cross hair. There is no lag on the precision at all.
I thought so too but determined the solution is to place the sensor bar at the exact edge off the screen and stand 5or6 ft away. It's as accurate as my crt light gun games, don't even need a crosshair in-game
