Spidey is my favorite hero, but I'd gladly say *he isn't prefect* and I really wouldn't sympathize with him if he was flawless. Captain America and Superman are absolutely boring characters because they nearly "always" make the right decision, it's idealism to point of absurdity. Sure Spider-Man is a "good guy" but like Tony Stark, he ain't a Saint and nor should he be.
Ultimate Spiderman might have - but as it was obviously meant as a joke by the writers without them thinking of the "science" behinde it I think it is ridiculous to count that The only real bad thing in that whole list was hitting MJ in a situation which would probably drive most people insane (you being cloned and then finding out YOU are the clone and your whole life has never happened to you)
it's like saying every faults of fictional characters is the writers' faults. Which is true and not true at the same time, writers give mistakes to their characters in order to make the characters feel more of a human being, it's not necessarily a fault of the writers, it's more of an attempt of character development which is good. But, i got what you meant.
I'm all for the hero's journey but when it comes to spider man he not only got lost along the way but he also was emo back before emo was a thing. these are the two reason I don't like spide rman,
Jeremy Brown good Ol Cletus also dug his mother up if you remember... I don't see him blushing ever, I do look forward to seeing him and his suit reunite after Norman loses it.
His webbing is porous enough to breathe through and see through. He’s fixed his mask with it before. That woman was fine. Just about everything else is still accurate.
Nova, Franklin Richards, She-Hulk, Spider-Man, Valeria Richards, Luke Cage, Ben Grimm, Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm and yes I did take this joke seriously
Because he killed, then he also killed, oh he then killed this guy too, then that time he didn't kill some one... riiiight, also how can you include bens death, at number one ?! Or at all?! This was his origin and what made him be spider man... as in spider man didn't do it.. was all Peter..
Spider man.... Spiderman... What you have taught of us... Save by Spiderman Spidermannnnn.... Wish... You could have Live before you die..... -Spiderman:Spider Verse
Our health teacher said a phobia is a irrational fear, I said “Spiders?”, he said “yes”, the next 30 minutes where devoted to a debate with student vs teacher
I want to point out, for number 8, that we have seen Peter use his webbing as a sort of air filter before, Suggesting that it is fully possible to breathe through.. we even say it again recently in one of the Renew Your Vows issues. Without spoiling anything, he uses his webbing to help another hero withstand knockout gas, and even admits to having some webbing in his mask to do the same thing.
When it said that Spider-Man was a clone I got pissed.. but then it confirmed that he's actually the real Spider-Man/Peter Parker and that the clone was just trying to take over his life
He also attacked Iron Man during the Civil War series, after the assassination attempt. He won, and crushed his helmet, threathened him to fix everything. I honestly think that at this point Tony Stark was a Villain at best. He put every hero under attack, destroyed the lives of his friends, and when Peter made a different choice he just throw out of his family knowing that they would get attacked.
So this is the first list I've watched voiced by Ewan and I'd like to offer some criticism. First: your voice was quite nice. Your diction was excellent and the pacing of your speech was also quite good! You didn't peak peak the audio at all and all the s noises and p noises sounded perfect. Only thing I think could improve over time is perhaps being a bit more bombastic and put more emotion into your voice. Have fun with it! :) but overall I thoroughly enjoyed this upload. Keep it up guys!
Bryan Martin Just read the comments and was utterly disappointed in all the hate for Ewan (I mean, give him some rest, it's his second list!) and I'm really really glad that there's at least some useful criticism! Thanks man, you are great!
Bravo Alley 10 DC Graphic Novels You Must Read BeforeYou Die! It's also a list he wrote on Whatculture.com! If you're not familiar with his work on there, check it out, I personally love it, it's brilliant!
I love how he says that switching sides was bad and that he got Aunt May killed but he doesn’t even mention when he straight up EAT Mary Jane and Aunt May
10) i don't think this is bad 9) At least they broke up but this is still not a hero thing to do 8) yeah, shame on him for doing that! Marvel is racist. 7) ok spidey was desperate at the moment and his spidey sense didn't work well so he should be justified for that. It's not easy being a hero 6) this isn't his fault. Civil War was a Nightmarish event for the whole universe.I think marvel has stated that it helped the villians 5) again, not his fault! That was a Nuclear worrying situation. He could even have a heart attack from this intense shocking situation 4) ok this seems like the situation were the hero retires because he was depressed by all the things he's been through! It makes sense. maybe he couldn't handle all these responsibilities. But he became spidey again. 3)Silver surfer has done that too, it's a dumb move to let someone live when he can't escape himself so both should kill actually. A very polite but dumb thing to do 2) ok, this is a really heroic thing to do Relatives > Relationship 1) ok that's not that bad because he understood what's wrong with the killer but still he should catch him
JOHN GRIGORAKOS Hmm...extremely elderly aunt who not only has been in danger of dying in the past, but actually WAS dead before Marvel got cold feet and retconned it...or his young, caring wife who has been with him all that time, knowing he was Spider-Man all the while. Yeah, let's go with the old lady who Mephisto could have had die a day later of old age if he was feeling particularly nasty that day.
JOHN GRIGORAKOS Isn't that old?! She's been his elder aunt for fifty plus years now! Even with comic book aging, she's got to be in her upper seventies at the very least.
10. One more day 9. One more day 8. One more day 7. One more day 6. One more day 5 One more day 4. One more day 3. One more day 2. One more day 1. One more fucking day.
0. One more day -1. One more day -2. One more day -3. One more day -4. One more day -5. One more day -4939294849293834838. One more goddamn mother fucking shit eating anus raping day Seriously FUCK that comic
Actually, doing nothing is WORSE than doing wrong. At least when you did something wrong, you learn not to do it again, whereas when you do nothing, you won't learn anything.
Spiderman is probably my favorite super hero but I have always liked the idea of Spiderman killing his enemies think about how many lives he will save all of the villains he captures all escape anyway I would like a story line were Spiderman just kills his enemies that would be cool
It's mistakes like these that remind us that peter is only human, He's not perfect. I'd find him a more stupid character if he had no outbursts, wanting to give up, or even making some big mistakes that result in someones death. The saying goes: "You either die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain" - Harvey Dent/Aaron Eckhart and seeing how spidey happens to survive a lot, it wouldn't bee to far to say that being a hero might be getting to him the older he gets, mind you he started being a hero really early in his life, depending on the material his late teens or early college life
Tell this to Marvel, this actually happened! Go check out WhatCulture comic's vid ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bxLztxF28U4.html Spiderman actually did that
Very provocative list.... He declared war on a foreign country! Accidentally hit someone? He made a deal with the devil! And he had a one night stand? Some of these really don't deserve to be on this list.
3:11 lol I remember this. This was the Ultimate Team up comics. That was hilarious. The woman was fine. In the ultimate universe I don’t think his webs take long to dissolve and they can just be pulled off with some pressure.
Spider-Man lives in a world with actual gods, magic, and advanced tech, but none of that could fix a gunshot wound? Ridiculous. Hell, they could have downloaded May's consciousness into a machine and cloned her a new body or something.
It's in the video, just not at position #1. One More Day is surely the most offending event for any Spider-Man reader ever. Even people that never heard about it or that will never hold a comicbook in their hands: right now they're STILL being actively offended by One More Day.
