I remember when Chyna showed up to TNA for a tag team match with Kurt Angle vs Jeff Jarrett and Karen Angle. I was hoping she would stick around, but alas it was a "One and Done".
Shout out to Andrew putting in work doing the lists for us- I'll admit he's not the most charismatic of the WhatCulture gang, but with all the other guys busy with WCPW and other content I appreciate Andrew being the workhorse and shouldering this responsibility, bringing us our dose of assorted wrestling facts listed numerically.
The Blue Standard You're kidding right? The reason guys go to TNA is because they actually push their talent and give everyone a fair chance. Their booking is better than Wwe's for sure it's just sad that Hogan, Dixie, and Bischoff had to go changing things and drive the company into the ground.
Tbf crap booking in general story wise is a large reason to their position right now, although they push talent for two Years and forget about them besides Kurt angle and sting
I remember when tna was so good I actually went to a house show 3 hours outside where I lived for my birthday, it was a "double main event" as LAX (Hernandez homicide Konnan) either defend or were going for the tag belts against Aj And Daniels and Jeff Jarrett defended the nwa tna heavyweight title against Samoa Joe retained by DQ hitting him with the guitar, I got to meet the stars before the show and Jarrett actually remember me saying to him it was my birthday and made one of the ringside crew give me a piece of his guitar, it's was truly good place back then
What is with this random hate Andrew gets? He does great in his videos and his voice is very appropriate for a wrestling channel. Stop hating pointlessly zzz. It's okay tot say you prefer someone else but don't hate on a man for doing his job. Andrew is perfectly fine.
Marcus Allen didn't you have a smartarse know-it-all in school when you were growing up? That's how Mike Tenay worked, his commentary was almost patronising at times.
An Optimistic Pessimist Yeah, Roman really isn't that bad, it's just his character is boring which can always be changed. Andrew I think does good work though. Just shit treatment from us fans, but we're all wankers anyways so who cares lol
Good job WhatCulture. This WAS an exclusive video over on WhatCulture Extra! So when will you be releasing the "10 Things WWE Want You to Forget About Hogan" video to my fellow WhatCulture fans who didn't spend 7$?
One story about Savage was the "he's been kidnapped by Abyss' stuff was actually so they could pour coffee down him and at least get him somewhat lucid.
Vader also returned a last year or so after to challenge Bram while Bram was having an Open Challenge to any TNA Legends from the Past.Tatanka came out to challenge Jay Lethal years ago when he was pulling off his Black Machismo gimmick
I can name a couple from not watching this. 1: CM Punk(i believe that he faced Raven in a match) 2: Macho Man 3: TJ Perkins(he was Suicide) 4: Xavier Woods(he was Consequences Creed)
what Piper was referring to by saying Russo killed Owen Hart, was the fact that Russo was the one pushing the blue blazer gimmick. a gimmick that Owen had use prior but back when no one knew who he was, and that it was Russo's idea to have him come down from the ceiling.
Vader did make an appearance in TNA last year or in 2014 (TNA's been pretty much the same since the end of Hogan's run, so it all blends together) when he faced Bram only to be saved by Matt Morgan. Surprised that wasn't acknowledged.
Wow, you're right. I honestly didn't know about any of them. That may be the first time one of these list videos is 100% accurate. "Ten facts you don't know!" ....Yeah, I knew all of these. "Twelve things you don't remember!" ...Yeah, I remember like eight of them. This one though? Yeah, totally.
I dont blame Roddy Piper for talking about his 2nd cousin Owen Hart to Vince Russo cuz if that was my family I would also be pissed off & I would also go off on anyone that made my 2nd cousin do that dumb stunt. Btw Piper is the cousin of Stu Hart so that makes Stu's kids his 2nd cousins & Ik this cuz I have Hot Rod's book he made b4 he died
The shoot was actually great, but blaming owens death on russo was a lil harsh. Piper calling Russo the bin Laden of wrestling was 100% accurate however
WWE won't let its talent drink alcohol for a certain amount of time in advance of an event. That's what Randy Savage's performance in TNA reminded me of.
Kinda surprised rikishi wasn't on this list. Bringing up the stink face made me remember he was in a tournament in TNA, but no showed after he got through the first round.
funny how one of the coolest moments in TNA actually involved there debut which had one of the loudest "road warrior pops" of all time but we decided not to include because it's TNA right?
Don't forget Jim Neidhart and Tatanka were there to against Jay Lethal for a one off legends matches!!! Bret Hart was there to for a short time as commissioner!!!
