Great build ! How much did the building materials cost and how high is that loft ceiling? I'm in colorado and I know the materials cost could be significantly different. Thanks for any info
Thanks! Appreciate that very much. All told, my costs were between $3000 - $3500. I kept track of most of it, but there were a few things here and there that I didn't record. Also, my brother donated the expensive decking that he had from a remodel he did (saved me several hundred). I'm 6'2" and can just stand up in the center of the loft without my head touching the roof. I wanted plenty of headroom up there, so I went with 8' walls and the gambrel/barn style roof. Very glad I did that! On the main floor, I set the loft joists about 1" higher than my head so I never have to worry about hitting my head on them. Thanks again for watching and commenting!
@@RanchoCoyote Thank you very much for the info! Are you going to finish the interior? Drywall or wood? Do you mind mentioning waht state your in. I'd like to get some idea how much cheaper it would be to build somewhere otther than colorado springs area, and our prices here.
