Great list , loved most of those games . It’s so hard to pick because the 360/ps3 era just had so many classics . I think I’d go with halo 3 , gears of war 2 and the last of us on PlayStation
I absolutely agreed with Max Payne 3, it was one hell of a trip. Other Xbox 360 games that I personally enjoyed are: Army Of Two The 40th Day/The Devil's Cartel, Lollipop Chainsaw, Deadpool (2013), Need For Speed: ProStreet, and Dirt 2. I would also add Saints Row 2 and GTA IV into Xbox 360 games you should really play no matter what.
Oh man you naming some of these games just instantly brings back memories . The army of two series so was underrated ! Had a blast playing that cooperatively with a friend and can’t go wrong with the need for speed games
Also, I would highly recommend anybody who still has a Xbox 360 go out there and get yourself some physical copies. The games that I personally enjoyed are all delisted, and there isn't many ways you can go out there and get them.
@@MrWaifuTaker i already own several hundred games and lately I have been buying up collectors editions of games I already own. I got a collection that would make a gamestop look small (if gamestop even still around)
l4d2 is surprisingly alive and I hop on my 360 sometimes just for l4d2 but it's outdated and im not as good but some game modes are more alive on the 360 version than the PC version
Halo 3 and Oblivion hold a super special place in my heart on this console. I was 12 in 2006 when I got my first fat, white 360 that I still have to this day in mint condition (yes, I have had to completely replace the motherboard due to RROD. Twice). My brothers and I would play Halo 3 online together and co-oped the entire campaign. Oblivion was amazing. I probably logged 300-400 hours of this game on the 360. 2006-2008 was a trip for gaming, we got Halo 3, Modern Warfare, World at War with Zombies, GTA 4, Oblivion, Fallout 3, L4D, DeadSpace, Bioshock, and so many more. We will never experience an era of gaming like that again.
This game isn't sold anymore but one of my favorite games The amazing spiderman Was a great game although not much people liked it Played it last year and loved it
That list is spot-on, thank you! But I just can't choose just one: (1) Gotta agree with Dead Space2, it rocks. (2) is the entire Call Of Duty collection... A+ critique & analysis!
Yeah, it's crazy how good-looking the Gears games still are. But maybe it isn't that surprising considering both graphics and gameplay of the original GoW was mind-blowing at release.
Hahah same to me! 🤣 I dont so far own any games released for Series X/S, the only 9th gen game I have played on it has been Halo Infinite's multiplayer because ofc it was free2play. Mostly Ive just been playing Xbox 360 era games on it, because of the same reasons that they play and sometimes look better 😄 For example the next game on my list from 360 backlog is Fear trilogy and from those the 1st and 3rd Fear games got fps boost to 60fps on Series X/S so ofc I rather play those games on Series X rather than on my old 360 😄
Darkness, batman, kane & lynch, azura's wrath, metro 2033 and last light, singularity, gears of war, bullet storm, wet, COD kino der totten, don't forget GTA, bioshock, borderlands.... So much great games, on disks and very affordable
I added that to my Xbox 360 collection because so many ppl say its very underrated game. Not played it yet and its at the lower end of my priority list as I go through my collection of 200 games for Xbox 360 but still eager to see one day how good it really is
@@Balnazzardi it's a really good game don't want to spoil it but I should really try it I've never enjoyed third person games but specops the line is a good tps game and dark souls
I just scored one at a garage sale last weekend for $10, fully restored it and am playing it now. Love it and don't plan on giving it up anytime soon. Homefront was also not half bad for 360 and it came out almost ten years ago.
Max Payne 3, Far Cry 3 and Red Dead Redemption are the best games I've ever played on old gen consoles. (Half-Life, Portal and Left 4 Dead 2 aswell) You could probably do a video on the Xbox One era of video games, like which ones still hold up or somethin...good vid tho
Fable being one of the first to introduce good/bad choice system. Shadow the hedgehog and True Crime New York City. From the Xbox classic did it 3 years earlier.
Fallout 3 and Golden Age CoD games were my childhood (Minecraft Xbox 360 and Skyrim included). Red Dead Redemption while not what I grew up with, is a game that I’ve been playing now, and it’s just amazing. All of the games I just listed are straight up amazing.
Bully get a sequel? Theses days we can't smile without offending a toothless person. I think it`s impossible a game like Bully release without get in trouble
Also trying out gears of war 1 again i play the game the first time back at April because i was bored then i try out gears of war 1 and i love the game now
I just bought gears 1 and waiting for it to come in the mail. Would love to add you as a friend hopefully we can play some coop campaign on it, my gamer tag is “JacobsLadder28”
“Remakes are usually better” XIII , GTA Definitive Edition, and Warcraft:Reforged have entered the chat. This is a great video. I come back to it occasionally to help choose the next game to play.
Always been a play station player but got a series x this year. Without retro gaming I would have stopped playing altogether, the quality of 3a just dipped down too much. I am hoping for mw2, Dartide and starfield not to suck ass but I was hoping the same out of bf2042, vanguard and halo infinite
I completely agree with you . There’s definitely been a few great games the past 2 generations but nothing like the 360/PS3 era where it almost felt like there was a masterpiece coming out every other month for awhile. I have high hopes for starfield and mw2 aswell 🤞
@@About36Greeks I started high school in 2008 and finished in 2013, I remember not having enough money to buy all the instant classics that would be coming out every single year. Now it’ s a good year if 1-2 good games come out in an entire year..2021 got none,2022 just Elden ring as of now..ps4/xbx1 gen was weaker as well, downfall of halo, (mostly) overrated sony exclusives…didn’t feel the decline as much as right now because back then I was hooked on Destiny 1
Thank you !! I did have an okay time on it but only because I played it coop with a friend . The gameplay was fun but I was confused why they strayed away from the horror
The only reason im here is to find games to play on the xbox 360 i just got ive never played anything on the 360 before other with mt friend on cods against eachother and bots but i have my own now and want to play campaigns on it
RE5 - fav villain of all time - Albert Wesker Splinter Cell Conviction Hitman Thief Dantes Inferno - Another one in my favs Prototype 1&2 Halo watchdogs
Yeahhhh it would’ve been on there but I tried to avoid putting any games that had remasters .. so halo 3 on Xbox 360 is great but MCC is probably the better experience with the updated graphics etc
I have 5 xbox360 games BUT I want GTA 5 AND FORZA MOTORSPORTS 4 OR 3 I HAVE COD BLACK OPS 2,MAX PAYEN 3,Forza horizen ,Assassin's creed,NFS most wanted
The gears of war trilogy is easily the best thing about the 360. For some reason with fallout 3 I just couldn't pass it when I was near the end. As for new vegas, I just couldn't get into it. Gta5 on the other hand was at its peak on the 360 imo
Yeah the fallout series isn’t for everyone ! Gears is my fav series of all time , love those games and could play them over and over again . GTA 5 was amazing but we need that gta 6 now !!
@@About36Greeks I love fallout 4. I just had a hard time with 3 and well new vegas just didn't seem interesting. Idk if it's just me but the weapons in those just seem weak and the no running makes things even more frustrating. Playing the first gears of war is the reason I ended up getting an xbox years after I played that game
@@About36Greeks 😳 Idk how the fuck u knew the color but my stomach just dropped and now I'm not gonna be able to sleep tonight...and it's already 2:30 am.
@@About36Greeks was lucky to pick the handsome collection up dirt cheap and I loved bl 1 & 2 I won’t lie I have struggled with that pre sequel, just not the same experience which is a shame
Absolutely loved them especially 2 but they recently had remasters so I tried to avoid putting any of those . Cause it’s hard to tell people to play a 360 game when there’s an updated version with better graphics etc
I tried to avoid putting any games that have had remasters . So the halo games are all in the master chief collection with updated graphics ,, that’s the main reason I didn’t put them there . But they’re incredible none the less !
Well not everyone enjoys every genre 😅 just out of curiosity what you dont like about first person shooters? Personally I enjoy pretty much every genre aside from sport and music games and I dont play MMOs either anymore but thats more due to lack of time
"Although fable 1 hasn't aged as well as the 2nd and 3rd one". Who in the hell even says that. Both the 2nd and 3rd were trash 🗑. Fable has aged like the world's finest wine.
Currently playing Spec Ops the Line again. Not a big hit like any of the games you’ve listed but still a game I’d highly recommend to anyone. Very underrated game and still holds up to this day
The 360/PS3 era of gaming to this day is still the best era of gaming!! It’s not to say the ps4/xb1 was bad it’s was very good…well, far more so for the ps4 clearly dominated that era! And now this generation is pretty good but once again Sony has the clear edge especially exclusively! But no era is better then the 360/ ps3
As someone who owns over 400 games for the 360 I would agree these are all good games. I would have put several different games in my list but several of these I would have also added. Honestly your list was about the 360 specifically so I am not sure why you decided to leave off remasters. Great video either way and great list. Especially for anyone looking to pick up a 360 and some games in 2022 and beyond
Yeah I wasn’t sure if I should leave off the remasters or not but looking back I probably wouldn’t have if I made another one of these . The list will be different for everyone I think , 360 had too many amazing games to fit into just 10 , a lot more hold up then the ones I showed
@@About36Greeks you aint lying. I keep findings games I never heard of that are boat loads of fun. Well Im subscribed so Ill be looking forward to anymore you do for the 360!
@@majorgear1021 well I guess you yourself decide what are essential games for you 😄 No one else can decide what you want to add/exclude from your collection, its up to you to collect whatever games you want. Personally as said in the other comment I only collected games that I do want/plan to play. So I didnt add any games to my colletion that I had zero interest in or got really bad reviews. overall when I got close to 200 games (like 180) I felt like adding to the collection few more games that the number would be exactly 200. But even those last games were the kind of games that are worth playing and not some crap, just games that I had either overlooked or already played on PC before
Great list 👌 recently got a hold of a xbox 360 for free so will be going through those games. I also remember the Marine campaign from Alien vs Predator being pretty intense on its hardcore difficulty mode.
Dead Space 1 and 2 are great games but when you mention Dead Space 3 you made it think that is total garbage or an abomination of gaming but it's really not. Yes is not as good as the previous two Dead Space games, yes is more action oriented, yes it has less scares and tension, micro transactions, the unnecessary love triangle, cliffhanger ending from the DLC expansion, and that Norton sucks but it's still a solid polish game it plays well, graphics are great, I like the non linear approach in some segments of the game and exploration is rewarding, it has good puzzles, dodging is a nice touch for combat but the cover mechanic is worthless, it has good replay value and co-op which is good but I wish it had split screen co-op and can also replay it on higher difficulties with the upgrades and with a friend. Not as good as Dead Space 1 and 2 but not an awful game just good flawed but good.
Oh yeah I’d have a few of those for sure . La noire was close to making it for me . Loved that game and it’s still good even today . Same with the others you mentioned
