That looks so much better than what was there before, a garden you actually want to explore ❤

Fantastic transformation. I'm particularly grateful for the tiki hut build pictures. I'm planning to build one and was unsure how to do it so, thanks for that.

Really cool footage showing the interesting development of the garden. I've followed it along the way over the years on your vlogs but to see it all put together in 20mins is really impressive. Well done👍

Lots of work and great result Kris, lovely garden! I know that Yorkshire was not the best place for making such style gardening, we also started our exotic garden 10 years ago and also not in best conditions, in USDA zone 4, Moscow:)) Some results you can see here on youtube e.g. "Rain in my tropical style garden, September, 2023"

Fantastic Chris! Very well documented. I'm glad you mentioned the growing medium, you can't under estimate the drainage and how much muck and grit is required when your soil is basically clay, like mine. Well done and thanks for sharing.

When you look back, you must feel really proud of how the Garden looks now. We have the same soil in our garden as you have, about 12" of soil, and then hard orange clay that sets like concrete in the Summer.! Make life tough.... but interesting.

That was really interesting Kris and you’re done a phenomenal job in transforming your garden - I didn’t realise the amount of clearing and preparation work you had to do before bringing all the soil and aggregates in! Great stuff and I hope it continues to inspire many more people to really go for it with their own projects 😊
@YorkshireKRIS
@YorkshireKRIS 4 месяца назад
Cheers. Looking back I can appreciate how much I've done and changed the garden. I don't think I've really explained before how much I had to initially clear! I must have done literally 100s, if not 1000s of wheel barrow trips!

Do you leave your aeoniums planted out all Winter? Mine seem to be very tender and won't even survive in an unheated greenhouse, I have to bring them in. If there's a way I can protect them in beds, I'd be very interested.
