Time flies man i went 2 play 2k16 the other day (6 year old game) only like curry lillard and kat was the only 1s still on the same teams that were listed as the best player on the team when the game launched
Yea same. Except for LeBron. I ain’t no LeBron hater as I appreciate his game, but I genuinely I won’t be sad when he retires. But that’s just me 🤷🏾♂️
AY SWISHOUT I WAS THE DUDE IN THE LOCKER ROOM APP THAT GOT KICKED FOR SAYING THAT WE WOULD MAKW THE PLAYOFFS AND LOOK AT US NOW. I WAS TROLLING BY SAYING THAT THEY WOULD WIN THE CHIP AND BE THE FIRST SEED BUT I WAS RIGHT.
@@gabrielantunez7642 I've haven't seen this convo yet. To be fair cp3 hasn't had superteams like Curry & Kyrie.. The year he had Harden they almost won but a injury changed what could have possibly been a championship. Dame, Kyrie, Russ ain't winning rings like that.
@@darkestnights9808 Superteams.... Huh... I get the KD + warriors being called a superteam, but without kd they were just a really good team, by your logic that makes this year's nuggets suns and jazz superteams, the lob city clippers and cp3 + harden rockets are also superteams then...
Crazy how some players careers pan out over a decade. Rose and Howard were MVP candidates and now they’re key bench players. Then you take it to Lebron and you realize this man has basically been an MVP candidate for at least 10 years straight. Great video again
Its alot of great young talent rn in the league. 10 years ago the league was more balanced as far as how the ball was put in the basket you got alil bit of everything imop
@@meeee500 yeah I kind of miss the old days when the players stuck to their traditional roles. I think it’s great that the players are so diverse in defense and offense but I remember the days when centers used to guard and go hard in the paint, not attempt 3’s or mid range jumpers
Giannis can’t do that, I’ve never seen Jokic do it. Ad might be able to pull it off, but not in a game and Kat ain’t coming close to pulling off moves like that.
Love this video. The longevity of all of these guys is impressive. Glad you included that graphic to include KD cause he’s had major injuries just like Russ and is still playing like a top 5 player in the league.
One more thing, for CP3s mvp case you have to keep in mind that the Suns were undefeated in the bubble and would have likely been anywhere from the 6-8 seed this year without him. While he has transformed the franchise it isn’t like they were horrible before and had no expectations. They definitely wouldn’t be the 2 seed without Chris Paul but it seems like a weaker case then guys like Jokic, Curry, Giannis, Embiid and even other dudes like Luka, the Nets trio and Lillard.
Ayy I ain’t goin hold you “I didn’t even wanna make this video” should be on some merch bro !! I’d cop that jawn put a lil sighing face on it with swishout on the back. I high key don’t even feel right watching a video and I ain’t hear that. Love the work man @swishout goated on RU-vid
Dirk KG and Timmy are the three biggest game changers of the last 2 decades. If you look at how the league is now all the best bigs are copies of these man KP is a mix of all three on his best, KAT is Dirk 2.0 and you got many bigs making inside outside shots like Timmy. It's crazy how important these man were for the league, these are probably the three of the best of all time at what they did.
Thibedou isn’t just a random guy Chicago hired back then, He’s was already a veteran in the NBA far as coaching personnel.. Since the 90s in fact, he was under Jeff Van Gundy and his knicks teams. He did his homework, that’s why his tenure with the Bulls had such an outcome. Good video still though, keep these coming.
10 years ago: PG: D Rose (MVP) SG: Kobe (reigning champs) SF: LeBron (choked in the finals that year) PF: Dirk (Finals MVP) C: Dwight (DPOY) Now: PG: Steph (Greatest shooter and still balling) SG: Harden (was 6th man 10 years ago) SF: LeBron (reigning champs and only person on both teams) PF: KD (back like he never left but on a superteam again) C: Jokic (Unicorn and possibly MVP?)
i get the lebron and kobe age comparison but let’s not pretend that kobe didn’t tear his achilles in the tail end of his prime. that was definitely a significant contributing factor to kobe’s quick decline and subsequent retirement
I wonder what people 10 years ago would tell you if you told them that in 2021, the MVP race would be between a center who has some of the best playmaking of all time, a point guard who shoots 16 threes a game, and another center who can score from three levels and take step back jumpers 💀
I think Curry has a better case for MVP then most people give him credit for. He has broken many historic records this season in a 72 game season, imagine what other records he would break if he had those 10 more games. If you put Curry on the Nuggets they’re the one seed. Put Jokic on the Warriors they’re out of the playoffs. Jokic has had a really good season but the only thing giving him a better case than Curry is team success and if you see how ass the Warriors are without Curry compared to the great talent the Nuggets are with MPJ, Jamal Murray, and all their solid role players. People are crediting Jokic for keeping the Nuggets as a high seed without Murray but Currys been having to deal with that the whole damn season since Klays hurt.
What’s funny is that in 2015, no other player on the warriors averaged over 17 ppg (besides Steph). Curry should have been finals mvp in 2015. Iguodala won it by... defending Lebron well?? Bron averaged well over 30. Curry is the main reason they won the chip that year. Klay was barely an all-star. Draymond wasn’t an all-star just a bunch of role players and still won the chip. What about 2013? When Stephen Curry basically single handedly beat the nuggets in the first round. Nuggets were the 3rd seed while the warriors were the 6th. Second round he took the Spurs to 6 games. That same Spurs team almost beat Miami in 6 if Ray Allen didn’t hit that shot. Wade and Bosh become underrated. LeBron did have a super team in Miami. Yet lost in 2011 against dirk and had a worse meltdown than Steph had in 2016. Also, Steph had an MCL sprain that was severe and yet he didn’t play as bad as LeBron did in 2011 when LeBron was healthy. So Curry already took the warriors to the playoffs without an all star or superstar (2013 and 2014) so he really doesn’t have anything else to prove. Also, this year the warriors are like 2-7 without Curry. If he didn’t injure his tailbone they would most likely be 5th seed right now. Curry should be this years mvp. And the fact that without Curry this warriors team Is basically the same team last year that had one of the worst records in nba history is just amazing.
I think KD would have definitly been in MVP conversations, if not the MVP for this season if he didn't keep getting injured, like this dude comes of an achillies injury and all his other injuries, while still averaging 27 on a team with two other superstars
People don't go crazy about CP3's dominance/longevity because LeBron is doing it too, otherwise we would be like "MVP CANDIDATE AT YEAR 16TH? DUDE'S A LEGEND". I feel like both Curry and CP3 are 2 of the most (if not the most) talented PGs ever.
Bro if Kobe never tore his Achilles he would’ve still been playing at a high level until he retired .. all it takes is one real serious injury ion wish it on Bron but that’s all it takes
This why I can’t take no player for granted💯there’s a ceiling what us fans can say about these guys bcuz most y’all never made it to a collegiate level or sat on the bench in JV
Steph Curry is under size 2 does not have the pure passing or creating for other teammates but he does make his teammates better by his ability to stretch the floor Leaving them practically wide-open been saying this from day one lol
I really wonder what would happen to Derrick Rose's legacy if the Knicks came through and won a title this year. I feel like people act like the dude retired in 2015 or something.
