Kylie is not a self-made millionaire. Yes - what she has accomplished is impressive, especially for her age but she has built her business or "empire" solely off of her family's name, wealth and show.
Sorry but they are giving Kylie wayyyy to much credit. How hard is it to start a business with a huge following and millions of dollars to throw at it? No one has that luxury yet others are creating these life changing businesses and as a society we are looking up to KYLIE JENNER? Are you serious!?!
It’s hard. You clearly do t know how a business works. Ivanka Trump has a clothing line you would think it would bring in a lot of sales but people boycott it.
Exactly, great comment madmac101. People who work and struggle all their lives and have great businesses and do great things for others yet this brain dead Kylie is glorified for putting her name on a lip product. Can't wait til it all goes South because it will.
madmac101 EXACTLY! !! Thank you! Props to the people who thought of the idea the talent who thought of the design, the hard working people who work behind the scenes! !
I'm a fan but the stuff kris and Kendall were saying in particular about Kylie's cosmetics isn't fair at all. No other teenager would ever have a cosmetic empire like hers. It's nepotism, money and connections and while I think Kylie deserves her success and has a good product, it's an extremely unique situation that young people shouldn't try to emulate.
Bianca Nicole, Children & teens do this on the daily. The expectations have been set for ages. Prime examples are The Olsen twins (MaryKate & Ashley), Miley Cyrus, Hilary Duff, major Disney and Nickelodeon stars. Wether you're at the top or the bottom some parents offer their children the world and they take it. It's like paying for your child to do dance classes & they actually excel to become the best dancer in the nation. She was told she could do her own brand and she took care of it to be the makeup mogul she is today. Not trying to shoot you down, I just happen to be a fan who has a tad more research that's all.
There is a founder of a delivery app service for makeup that was founded by.... a teenage MALE... that’s is not famous or known. He did it from hard work and success. No nepotism involve. And honestly... having connections is life. In the big business out there you need connections you need to network.... But being a child of someone famous does not always work. For example, Ivanka Trump. She has more connections than Kylie and her father is a billionaire. She is more respected to the public eye yet her clothing line did not do so well since people boycott her line. It’s not always about having connections. If your fans don’t like you it will be hard selling your products. Kylie has a huge fan base.
Itcell Nicole If you are the daughter or son of a billionaire/even millionaires then you have more connections. There are families richer than the Kardashian’s clan. When families have more money they can send their kids to the best colleges.
That I understand but it's a different type of hustle. Clearly if you have billionaires as parents, all those connections are already there vs growing up in a normal house hold and building those connecting from nothing. It cannot be compared.
They can't really brag about Kylie being so young at just 20 years old with a successful business.. it would be impressive if she started from nothing but she didn't she came from a multi million dollar family.. it's not hard to have a successful business when your family is rich.. age doesn't matter.. money can buy anything
Nah she spends so much time doing her business that she could have spent hanging out with friends and doing 19 year old stuff. So I would say it's her success, she took the opportunity she had and made herself a success even though she was already rich
june kern no doubt she looks good but she didn't attain all of her assets by hard work ONLY like most normal person would do. She felt the need to modify herself because she was affected by the way she looked and was always being compared to her sisters. She might've not felt less by her sisters per se but felt it nonetheless.
I don't know why people who claim to not care about them take their time to come watch their videos just to leave a hate comment lol. Y'all become more fans of them than their actual fans lol.
They are definitely on a different level than "regular" people. Just how they look down on the fans and say "awww, they're just so cute". Celebrities are not Gods, they are not better than anyone else.
I don't think the Kardashians are condescending toward their fans at all. They are actually very loving and kind towards them, and treat them as human beings just like them.
I hate when "famous for being famous" reality stars complain about the lack of privacy and the inability to live a normal life. They are not actors or singers, their private lives IS the product they are selling, they NEED the publicity, which is why they always call the paparazzi on themselves.
Lmao they don't need to call the paparazzi on themselves. Maybe people that are trying to become reality stars would do that. But this family is one of the most famous and richest in the world. They never need to do that
ok they deserve privacy but they're acting like they didn't try super hard to get fame. they went to extreme measures to be relevant and now they're complaining? they knew what they were getting themselves into.
Kylie only has an 'insane business' because she was born rich and famous lol don't even try to play it like she has talent or worked hard for that (instant) success BYE
Not just ANY gal can launch a makeup line, give it a rest Kris! It's because they are Kardashians/Jenners! Why did Kendall get a modeling contract? Hello? Kris acts as if they just were "nobodies" ....lmao
Intelegente??? Wtf is that hahahaha and plus interviewers usually match their questions to the guests and the audience, so I think it would be boring for KUWTK fans to watch "intelegente" questions...
First of all learn how to spell intelligent before asking for intelligent questions. Second , people want to hear them speak about their experience with such high level fame and reflect on these experiences unique to them. Why bring them here to speak about what ? Climate change?
Diana Prince Stop typing comments that you yourself dont know what it implies but you just type those words to get attention and more likes Therefore being sceptical.
"It's your responsibility at home to teach 'em what core values are." *Homegirl did not just.... I know she did not.... I know she did not just say that. Tell me as a Kardashian she did not just say that*
Jesus Alfaro-Garcia even so, for that to come from someone whose has gotten work done from her face to her lower body just doesn't reassure the statement.
Russell Sheffield I don't like what she said and how she said it. It makes her a hypocrite. For her to say it's dumb for someone to wanna change themselves and compare themselves to someone is actually quite rude considering they've altered nearly everything on their bodies. Everybody has insecurities (even the Kardashian's) because we live in a society that dictates beauty to everyone. What core values does she and her sisters have? They've gotten work done from head to toe.
Rob seems the sweetest and most caring down to earth person, he sees and knows what's up with his family, believe me, he knows. I don't care what you look like, Rob, it's what's within and you are a good man and that is what counts, stay away from gold digging strippers!
Kendall ALWAYS seems like she's angry in interviews Or frustrated with her responses. I don't get it? She's the 2nd least popular of all the sisters anyway.
This family had an amazing opportunity to show people what really matters. Instead they have caused so many young women to believe they have to look a certain way. They have not once said to love you as you. Their message is more do whatever you have to look like them. Sad, shallow and vapid.
Why would they include Caitlyn when their was a very public falling out between all of them?? I think at the time Caitlyn was on speaking terms with some of the family, but not all of them. Things were definitely not good between Caitlyn and Kris and even the family as a whole. I think it would have been just a tiny bit awkward had Caitlyn been included in this interview.
Hate them or love them, they must be doing something right to keep millions of people coming back to watch them season after season! AND to have people CONSTANTLY talking about them. You can’t get mad at someone else’s success. If you were in their shoes, I guarantee you’d do the same. ❤️
Successful at 19? Yeah by the help of her family and plastic surgery to market herself that way. Not hating in any way but let's be real if she would've thrown that makeup line before plastic surgery you really think it would've been as successful? No lol
This is weird considering how Meghan rips them apart now. I actually agree with what she's been saying these days but it's weird she looks different and can't believe I didn't know she interacted them.
I feel like we need to come to terms that for “celebrities” that’s their life that’s their “job” it can all be taken away! They are like any one of us! We are all on the same level! Success is relative! “Fame” comes from people idolising people they think are amazing when really we are the same! God sees us in the same way
I actually enjoy the Kardashians. I enjoy their show, I enjoy that their fame opened the discussion about parents who transition, and I think they're genuinely kind people. That said, I hate the way they deflect honest, caring criticism - I too worry that they model superficial things to kids. I'm not saying you can't wear makeup, have expensive things or live glamorous... I'm saying that's ALL they do and stand for. I'm saying I want to see them teaching girls you can be just as happy and beautiful as they are without designer bags, I want them to promote learning about other cultures and helping people (hands on) and learning what the problems of our world are to solve them and how our daughters can be proud of themselves for THAT, even if they'll never have the designer bags and the personal trainer. I don't mind them having all those things, I just hate that they BARELY supplement it with anything that will teach NORMAL girls to be happy, healthy and confident.
Only a matter of time, I know SO many people abhor these people and are praying for the day that farking show comes to an end. In the name of Jesus, pray.
K. Kaye Clark ~ If you don't like them, don't watch. Clicking a link simply to post a negative comment is childish. Their fame will end some day, but with the money they have made, they will be okay. I can't see any of them ending up homeless unless that is how they choose to end up.
sandhya subba ~ Seriously? You couldn't be more wrong. Women have been body shamed since WAY before the Kardashian family came on the scene. Joan Crawford people used to change the tag sizes in her clothes when she gained weight and people talked about it. They would buy bigger clothes and switch the tags without telling her so she would feel better. Vanity in Hollywood is why some woman wear a size zero now. Seriously, zero means nothing. Nobody is a size zero, it's just made up because people have been body shamed for so long that they now need to be made to feel better with ridiculous things like a size zero. Depression and anxiety have also been around forever. You seriously need to get a clue.
What frustrates me about this is that Kelly is ultimately talking about their plastic surgeries for the "unrealistic expectations". They didn't respond to any of it.
They’ve been through so much in those 10 years. Appearances changed. Attitudes changed. Just so much 😩 but I love their drive that got them to where they are now
The Kardashians have built such a large empire in the past 10 years and they keep adding to it. They're not going away for a long time. Your grandkids will know about them 😂
I think all of you need to have tough skin like Khloe. I can't believe how harsh people are. please keep on doing what y'all are doing. stay strong and keep moving on. I love it.
I think sometimes people overestimate the entertainment industry. As the name suggests, the entertainment industry isn't here to teach your kids math, or science. They're basically here to ENTERTAIN. Haters hate on the Kardashians only because they're famous for being famous. But sooooo what? It's not like they've killed people or told your kids to rob a bank...Again, they're entertainers. If you feel entertained by them, then I respect that. If you don't, I respect that too. Don't make them seem like they are the teachers at your kids' school or pastors at your church.
I can't believe I'm about to say this but this so far is Megyn Kelly's best interview. It may have been that her subjects, the Kardashians, are laid back and wouldn't have been offended by any of her questions. I even liked the outfit Megyn wore, not during the interview, but while she was sitting at the NBC panel with her cohost. Megyn wore that white stylish top and pencil black pants and her voice wasn't as restrictive. She actually moved her jaw this time.
I wouldn't mind them promoting their bodies if they were real. But they get surgery and try to pass it off as real. Kylie, Khloe and Kim need to stop acting like they haven't had fat transferred to other parts of their bodies. There are girls that are going on dangerous crash diets and getting surgery as teenagers to try and achieve unrealistic body expectations. They need to address this. If they put themselves out there, they have this responsibility.
I’m sorry but they look miserable. Kendall is way too defensive, Kim is like a robot, the mum knows she’s exploited her own kids and Khloe can’t stop fidgeting, she is that insecure. They have gained a lot of fame and money but have lost so much more as human beings. They can keep their shallow lives.
Sara Z this is what she likes. She didn't like working at Fox. She hates politics. She never liked it, she was kinda forced into it but she didn't enjoy it at all.
I really like them and their shows they got everything i look for in a show good clothes, good since of fashion/style, good makeup looks, hair and a great family bond that is rare to find in America i hope they keep on going.
Kylie definitely had a leg up when starting her business but that should drive you all to work EVEN HARDER because you have to start from the bottom. I love this family and I hope they continue to film and inspire me forever. Honestly, my favorite family ever.
I used to think these gals were vapid, superficial, and pretentious but after watching several episodes of KUWTK I've really grown to respect their transparency. Juggling an empire along with children, daily stresses, and constant Hollywood pressure while living in a fish bowl is a life I would never wish to endure. From what I've witnessed, the Kardashian family, although monetarily and physically blessed, are humble, caring, and hard-working individuals. I admire their grace and strong family values.
Linda Istrefi omg chill, sooooo many people keep their last name after divorcing. Like you can hate on them but at least choose something worth mentioning
Say what you want about the Kardashians/Jenners one thing they do is stick together, bad or good they have each others backs. Not all families can say that. I admire that.
