Nyjah’s 2014 run was really good. I liked the trick selection, and that bs nollie to Fakie nosegrind down the rail was really progressive 7 years ago. Carlos Ribeiro had one of my favorite runs too.
I'm just some old ain't never been. so wtf do I know? But I just can't hang with the stepping off mid run thing. That 2015 run of Luan's was definitely the best to watch for me, not just for the back to back bangers, but for the beauty of the flow around the course. Total flow state..!
Damn, Nyjah killing it and everyone sound like they forced to cheer the two times they did.. I get people don't like him but don't pretend his skating isn't ridiculous..
Agreed that he is an outta this world skater who is undeniably one of the greatest to do it but i think he lacks that relatability and rawness. For me at least part what of attracts me so damn much to skating is the "rough around the edges" feel to it and nyjah just has that super polish to him. Im not a nyjah hater at all but i feel like thats where some of the disconnect is. When it comes to the actual skate ability only a fool will say he is no good.
