Sooo you've may been wondering why I haven't done a video for at least a few weeks or so... Well one good reason it's because I've heard that the CITV channel is gonna be 10 years old on 11th March.
That's right people, in case you've been living under a rock for at least god knows when, 10 years ago in 2006 on the 11th March CITV felt the time was right to make a channel. They had been stuck there for at least a few years still hanging around on ITV 1 every week while it's main competitor CBBC was enjoying the channel fame. So up came the CITV Channel, a whole channel which would follow the basics of what the CBBC Channel had done. Show tons of great CITV programs! Some old, some new, some from the US, some home grown, some which were fun, some which were not so fun, some which were... Yeah you get the picture.
So far thought these 10 years it's been a blast, they've shown some great programmes, some which I've grown to love (Recess, Mr Bean), some which I already love (Dream Street, Pokémon) ad others I only saw glimpses of before they bit the dust.
So to celebrate 10 years of the CITV Channel and in the same similar shape of Cartoon Network's 10 year promo I have created a special video which shows the full 10 year of the channel in just a tiny fragment of 60 seconds. Yes you heard me right there, 60 seconds! If Cartoon Network could cram 10 years into 60 seconds then I can do it for CITV.
I've crammed tons of videos about the channel from the continuity and Toonattik goodness to all the promos and some of their shows and fitted them all in to just 60 seconds. It's taken me at least 1 or 2 weeks to make this video and to me I think I've done perfectly well.
Anyway enjoy this tribute to the channel.
