That is what we was asking for them, since bf hardline..just a normal militality battlefield with today graphics, normal military uniform and guns...but no, they went to 2042 and gave us specialists and unrealistic "powers"

2011 was a shit year for me, spent a lot of it in and out of hospital, built a PC just for this game, and thankfully i was on the mend when it got released. Spent thousands of hours on the game, was top 3 in the world in the sprut at one point, did love the AK maps, bander was my fav. Its a shame that dlc is hardly played, so i have to make do with firestorm, kharg, or caspian for some tank play.

@@Glenn7719 yeah youre right, AK overall was a great DLC with overall great maps. In general BF3 DLCs were great just like the game itself. Definitly Peak Battlefield time.

The harsh shadows, the high contrast, the blue filter, the lens and camera effects, all contribute to a feeling only battlefield 3 has. It's incredibly stylish. Battlefield 4 on the other hand is all orange and brown, which I prefer less. Even though dated this game still has graphics that suck you in regardless. I always had higher immersion in this game than in any other. The whole feeling this game gives off is insanely good, no other battlefield actually achieved this. You can see a literal millisecond or a few frames of this game and instantly recognize it, without thought. And that's only the aesthetic, the whole game is a masterpiece. I was hyped beyond reason that 2042 will be a new battlefield 3 successor, ah how disappointed I am.

it looks just more fluid, more natural.. movements were similar to what you would expect irl. Light effets were awesome.. Also it was complete from the gameplay perspective, no chat filter, no specialists bullshit Back when triple A games were actually triple A I hope dice will actually listen to the community for the new 2042

The Movement & Inertia in BF3 was Stellar. That is what reeled me into Battlefield. That same feeling is completely gone from 2042.

@berserker mind So agree with you. BF3 and BF1 are the only Battlefields I play. I have 500 hours or so in BF4, played it for some time but never felt like it had the tactile feeling of BF3.

Many many hours put into BF3, loved everything about it, the gunplay and the vehicles. BF4 was ok, but it started to lose its feel, ive been playing both again recently, still find myself going back to BF3. Had great fun in the 2042 beta, different feel yes, but i went into the game just wanting to have a laugh, some fun.

This game definitely needs to be remastered to at least fix the damn netcode problem along with a few other bugs too. Then officially it will become the best Battlefield game in all of franchises history and quite possibly the best fps game of all time.

The beta of 2042 certainly looks sterile and has such a different polished/smooth look compared to BF3 and 4. The grittiness and textures/saturation effects of 3 and 4 made the game so immersive. Things also look ‘smaller’ and unnatural from certain views like 3rd person heli view- just looks fake or something.

No one ever talks about it, but I thought the campaign was great in bf3, It seemed very realistic nothing too over the top Hollywood stuff just very realistic missions and scenarios with a good story.

I have played all cod campaigns from MW1 to AW +MW2019 and battlefield bc2 and 4s campaigns and halo reach halo 3 odst halo 4 and the battlefield 3 campaign is my favorite of them all

Always love it when BF3 gets a plug. By far and away my favorite Battlefield experience. The weapons had perfect weight, the bullet velocity was great, and the movement was superb. These days, I’m playing BF1, and I have to admit it’s quite difficult to go back and play at a 10hz refresh rate. I was hoping for a remaster of BF3, but Portal it seems will have to suffice if I do buy 2042. Thanks for uploading!

Same here, I'm on my 3rd computer, 4th keyboard, 3rd mouse, 3rd monitor and 3rd account since I started playing this game 10 years ago. Unfortunately I've got poor leg circulation from sitting down so much and playing this game consistently. Lesson learned, exercise is important!

I remember Big Mooney. Man was crazy. I still say "aah mah leg" when I get shot but survive in a match. I was on his top plays show a few times. I think he was a victim of his own creation. He tried branching out and playing single player games with commentary, but not many people watched. They went to his channel for Battlefield clips. He would have done well to start another channel and put his gameplay on there. You do fill the void Mooney left, thought. I am grateful for that. You must be excited for a new Battlefield game and all the clips that are in your future. Happy editing pal.

I miss this game so much. Sold it with my PS3 to get my PS4. I want to mount any attachment on any weapon like in BF3. Sniper scopes on bipod-mounted weapons are amazing. Long range LMGs or even slug/frag shotguns.

I hope they bring back China Town from Hardline into 2042. A remake of the Grand Bazaar map and really really good. Not a lot of people got to enjoy it since it was DLC and the DLC maps disappeared quick because not many bought them

I came here with a lot of nostalgia after playing bf2042. I wish they can remaster some of these maps like operation metro, seine crossing, grand bazaar and ziba tower with the latest graphics technologies and keep the same pace and the same voice lines in portal bf2042. I think it's what they need to do.
