It's somehow already been an entire decade since I started my RU-vid channel! Today I'll be reflecting back on my pre-RU-vid days, what inspired me to create a channel and all my videos, and then conclude with some final thoughts, my thought process behind making videos, and what's in store for the future. Thank you for a fantastic 10 years!

Thank you for a great 10 years on RU-vid! How long have you been watching my videos? Anyway, I really couldn't have gotten to where I am without your support, it's been a childhood dream of mine come true. It really has meant a lot to me. I would appreciate if you stick around to the end of the video as I give some insight and personal thoughts as to why I make the creative decisions I do, along with my general thought process on content creation. Thank you so much, and hopefully here's to another 10 years to come!

I first saw a video from your channel suggested in i think 2016-2017 and it was the if mario was in train simulator video. the first video i watched that i remembered vividly was a Marysville railroad stories video in 2018. given how that introduced me to the world of the talking trainz series. so in other words i've probably been watching since 2018.

Welcome to the 10 years club! Hit my 10th in April. I also see you're almost toward getting your 1st play button too as you're sitting at over 85k subs. Hope you reach that milestone in due time ;) I 1st found your channel thanks to those OLD Engines of Amtrak episodes which of course spurred me to make my spin off titiled "Engines of SEPTA" good luck to your future and congrats on 10 years!

Your story of 10 years on RU-vid is what is happening to me right now. I started to record videos with my tablet in 2021, sadly the SD card corrupted, and I just got a camera in February 2023. Also, my mom takes me to train tracks so I can record trains, and when I was 11 in 6th grade, I made my RU-vid channel. I say that because it's my birthday today. So to think that both of these stories are similar, I think that's cool.

Congrats on this milestone! Your Engines of Amtrak series has inspired me and countless other youtubers to focus on history oriented videos on certain locomotives from certain railroads. I've also been a fan of your more recent educational videos, as they cover little discussed and creative aspects of railroading, and the humor added into each video is nicely done. Congrats. The video that sucked me in to your content was the Strange Trainz video a few years ago. If you're looking for extra ideas for a history video, Might I suggest one on Chris Sawyer's Locomotion. It's a transport sim from 2004 and while it wasn't super popular, it holds a special place in my heart.

Some questions for the Q&A: 1. What is your favorite railroad livery (excluding phase 3 amtrak), and what train do you think it looks best on? Personally, it's the F45 in GN Big Sky Blue. 2. Would you consider European railroads to be superior to American railroads, and if so, in what way?
