Aaron, please buy a concrete mixing attachment for one of the many drills in the braille house, you will have much better results every time. And for a light reinforcement material buy some chicken wire cot it in the shape of the board and layer it a couple times. Little bit of well mixed concrete, chicken wire, a little more conrete, chicken wire, and so on and so forth, I'm sure you could easily fit four layer. And just an idea for the truck alignment get some long hardware or even wooden skewers and leave most of whatever material you choose sticking up before pouring concrete. Hardware should be able to be unscrewed, skewers could easily be screwed through. Just passing on what my dad taught me he had his own concrete company for 35 years. 😀 do a reboot puhlease?

I used to be in construction so here's my advice, since you are using two skateboards on top and bottom of your mold you can predrill and set the bolts in the mold before the concrete cures. Just get some thread rod (make sure it's the right thread for your nuts... no not THOSE nuts 🤪 ) and run it through where it sticks out both sides then when it's cured you can cut off the topside. Another idea for your concrete skateboard would be to use backerboard for your mold. Backerboard is a thin concrete they make for laying tile. There's two kinds, one is made with mesh and is slightly flexible and the other is just concrete. You can cut the shape of the board and use it as your base so that way your binding concrete to concrete.

For concrete board 3.0 leave little posts where the holes are going to go so you don't have to drill into it and weaken it at all.

There's special concrete stirrer bits for electric drills (i don't know the right name, not a native speaker), you might wanna get one of those for mixing the concrete.

You should try and skate a ceiling fan blade. The price for a new ceiling fan would be $60-$130 and you can find em in Home Depot or you could just unscrew a blade from one of your own ceiling fans. Also if the blades are small itd make a cool penny board

I build concrete molds for a living. If you pour a layer of concrete then layer or chicken wire then layer more concrete and put a piece of rebar on both sides and in the middle another layer of concrete and more chicken wire then last layer of concrete. This will make a super strong board. The layers only needs to be think enough to cover each layer of metal. So about roughly 3/8 in and it will be a much smaller board

when you're putting concrete against wood, like in a form, you can rub the wood with a bit of diesel fuel and motor oil. the forms slide right off that way

Use rebar on version 2 but make sure to not put it where you'll be drilling for the trucks. Also instead of concrete shoes use latex, made exactly like the concrete ones were, bouncy and grippy blocks

A skateboard with a puzzle as the grip tape you can glue the puzzle to it, or glue a bunch of puzzles together and make a skateboard deck

Fun Fact. Goat hair used to be used as Fibre Mesh in concrete. Don't Use Metal Mesh. It will cut you while trying to finish it.

Mix in fiber reinforcement if you don’t want to use rebar

Next time you do a small batch of concrete like this, put the mix and water in a bucket with a tight screw-on lid and roll it around the parking lot for 15 minutes. That will combine it a lot better than trying to do it with a scrap of wood.

Ok to save you time and water, mix the concrete and water slowly, throwing it all in with no room to play will leave you with either to much water or to much concrete, it will also give you a much easier time mixing, especially if you're mixing by hand and the consistency will be much easier to work with, I like to build concrete finger skateparks, and considering that I need a much finer concrete I've used this method for some big projects and it always give the strongest and best results

When we pour skateboard molds out of concrete, we let them cure out of the form for at least 3 weeks before pressing decks with them. Your concrete was still green when you pulled the form and without rebar, it was destined to crumble. If you decide to do it again, hit me up and I’ll help you make a badass one.

Always wet the bucket and put some water in first before the concrete. Pro tip for next time. Also use a mesh wiring for reinforcement, and you can spray some vegetable oil or WD40 on the inside of the mold so the wood pulls away from the Crete easier… oh and use wood not cardboard lol

Make a board with aluminum foil. I have no idea what that means or how you would do that with how weak it is but I just thought of it based on when you crumple up foil when you're done eating something wrapped in it, it gets pretty solid ig.

Brooooo. Make a concrete board 3.0 with rebar. Use the same concrete set up with 2 boards and put hardware through both boards to line up the trucks. If you use some reinforcement steel it can be thinner too.
