I built Tamiya military plastic models as a kid. I have been a military history buff for many years, particularly North African and eastern fronts WW2. I have built Lego sets for many years, but the concepts of Lego and military have never been linked in my mind. Yesterday, I randomly came across Brick Mania vids on RU-vid for the first time. I am so blown away by Brickmania and their mil vehicle models that I am nearly speechless. I am simply slack-jawed and wide-eyed at the historical accuracy of the models and the dedication and talent of Brickmania designers at producing them. I can almost instantly recognize the models as the vehicles they represent, which means that the scaling and details of the models are basically as perfect as they can be. I am struggling to understand how the designers come up with these models to make them look so perfect and accurate given the limitations of Lego brick types and sizes. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here in My country, (Not Usa), Legos are also very expensive, but there is also another big problem. Things like this can't be find in the country, so, if you want some of this, you need to buy it from Usa, and the price just triplicates! I love legos, but literally, some sets cost more than what some people gets for working for months! I just want to start making stopmotion videos about ww2, but it's very hard to buy everything to start!

I just looked in their website. WHY ARE THEY SO EXPENSIVE?! There is no way a simple tank is worth 500 USD. A lego brand kit with 200 pieces is like 50. The price of these kits are way overpriced.

Actually the marines did not get the short end of the stick they just didn't want to modernize because they suspected new gear to not be as reliable, for example most marines still used the M1903 Springfield because the branch head was skeptical about the M1 Garand

For the prices youd think they'd offer mor playability. They look nice but he picked up a few and parts fell off or it looks like the guns dont move much which really hurts it especially if you're paying $300+. The planes are cool and the landing gear looks nice tho

The IS tank is actually an IS-2, since the front of the hull was redesigned for only having two sloped areas, there's no drivers "cupola" anymore

The Germans did not "discover camouflage late in the war". And their infantry uniforms were not grey, they were "field grey" which was a shade of dark green. The only thing that was grey, were the tanks, but even then it was out of the factory. Line units were applying camouflage as early as 1941.

13:27 So light and medium tank designations are separate, there were 3 ground vehicles with the designation model 3, the M3 half track, the base of many vehicle like the M13 and M16 MGMC, the M15 MGMC and the M3 75mm GMC, there was also the M3 Lee, kind of ironically called the grant by the British, and the M3 start, there was also an M2 light tank which had a lot of MG sponsors and an M2 light tank, the aforementioned M2A4 which was not designated the Stuart, however it was the older sibling to light tank M3 and light tank M5, there was probably a light tank M4 I'm there but no one really cared about that one. Side note, the M4 Sherman and M3 Lee chassises were the exact same, side note 2, the StuG were mobile artillery, not assault tanks, the sturmtiger and sturmpanzer, known more commonly as the brumbar, however were assault guns
