Im only 7 mins into the video so idk if you do this later but i discovered something while playing my cherry only world (inspired by your vid btw.) You can get chickens from the nether when they spawn as a zombie piglen jockey. The chicken itself is counted as a hostle mob. It wont drop eggs and WILL despawn if you leave it. (I learned that the hard way) But if you keep it in a boat until you have 2, you can breed them and the chick they create will be a normal chicken. So now, in a world where only sheep, pigs, and rabbits spawn, i also have chickens 😊
@mondobutter45 animals spawn based on the biome. If you set the world settings to only be one specific biome, the ENTIRE world is that biome. Even the "oceans" are that biome so no coral reefs. If they cant spawn, they cant spawn
The king of Ice Spikes. Hardest biome in Minecraft in my opinion. I get frustrated trying to play Ice Spikes only world. Massive props for pulling this off. Nifty the only thing missing in this build is the North Pole for Christmas. This would’ve fit the theme perfectly.
I have a Stony Peaks only world. I think it's harder because, in addition to no passive mobs, my only wood source was from pillager outposts. The only advantage is the emerald ores, but it took FIVE wandering trader visits for them to sell me a sapling. I don't know why he thinks the ruined portals are useless. In a world with no apples, the golden apples I found in the chests were the only way I could cure the villager zombies.
A comment that will get buried but I’ll leave it anyway. After just reading the comment section of this video really shows how much has changed and how it’s genuinely a completely new audience. You’ve really moved on and it’s amazing that you have continued you journey Always love ya Pat thanks for helping to raise a generation. Will never forget those top 5s.
The best part of having your base on that hill surrounded by rivers? _Salmon._ They'll spawn in frozen rivers, and are a decent food source; good saturation~ Gardens, a forest, lawns of moss with lush grass and flowers; it's so tempting to transform such a desolate landscape into a verdant oasis.
Unfortunately, since he is playing an ice spikes only world, the rivers aren't technically rivers. The biome is actually still ice spikes. That means no salmon can spawn. Good idea though!
@@Masemiliano_ ...well, crap. I tried. 🤷 He should still have made himself a pool and roofed it to prevent freezing; then he could have had a steady food supply early on.🎣🐟🍣
@@Masemiliano_ I don't know, and nor do I know you, but if I had to apply my own derp metrics to you? I'd guess maybe either a lack of sleep, too much blood in the caffeine-stream, or some combination of the above? 😅😂 That's usually why I get a case of the derps, at any rate! 🤣
Wait, I just learned something that is painfully obvious. My favourite world is ice-world, because I just adore the snow-falling. But it drives me crazy that the water freezes to ice, but if you cover the water on top it never freezes........ Mind. Blown. I love your videos, I always get inspired watching them, and I love the humour you edit into them :)
You should do a swamp one next! It's not a hard biome, but I'd like to see you try and make a bustling kingdom there, specially if you limit your building, besides farm plots, to be on stilts! As well as not having one MASSIVE plot, but multiple plots for each crop, inside little drained parts of the swamp.
2:19 Nifty, Curse of Binding only means it stays on till it breaks, and at such an early part of the game it'll most likely break before then Unless its a wearable item that has no durability, Curse of Binding means basically nothing
Is it just me, or is Nifty the most pleasant RU-vidr ever? love putting his videos on, and just listening. He’s just such a nice fella, he’s even nice to the enemies in the game.
If you put moss next to stone it will turn the stone into moss if you bonemeal it and then if you plant a spruce tree on it it will turn into podzol. You can duplicate the moss through bonemeal so you only need one block of moss to begin with. These two things above are the ultimate skyblock/single chunk challenge hacks. The vines in the cave can be cut with sheers to get the vines and then you can use a crafting table to create mossy cobble, or stone bricks. Although you can't bonemeal these blocks they are useful if you want to create a bit of texture on a stone brick build.
What I like about your video is I actually like how you edit these 100 days video. Compare to others they would do a simple voice over and thats it. No music, barely any edits just cutting the video and then voice over. You sir just got a new sub.
What version is this? I am working on Ice Spikes in 1.19 and as I understand trees don't spawn as there are no grass blocks. Also lush caves don't spawn. Been surviving off mineshafts and trying to get a few zombie villagers (which don't come from spawners anymore).
The same question. I tried it in 1.19. No trees, no lush caves. So I had to develop through the nether - run from ruined portal to portal and eat rotten flesh until I collected enough obsidian to make a portal, go to the nether, and collect crimson tree wood.
@@NyancyCatIt's all very interesting because (citation from Minecraft wiki): "Regular forests are the only forested biome where lush caves don’t generate at all, and deserts are the only non-forested biome where lush caves can generate. "
It doensnt matter which version after the big world generation update.- not possible. I made serveral other ice spikes only world. Like the generation says "SINGLE" biome. No other biomes! @@NyancyCat
It took me way too long to realize this was thesmithplays. I would’ve been watching this channel wayyyy sooner. I used to love the black ops 2 zombies videos back in the day 😢
I lovet he fact that you didn't only beated Minecraft but you actually enjoyed the experience makig a base, crops, etc. Like, that's what Minecraft is about. :D
If you bonemeal podzol, will you get grass/ferns etc to try for grass seeds? Cause if you can, then...grass seeds makes wheat... Wait...In a true "single biome" world, you don't get the cave biomes! You wouldn't be able to find a lush cave biome in an "ice spikes only" world.
Just came across this account but already watched like three videos (so it’s been a few hours BUT worth it) idk I js find the playstyle and videos calming😭
I went from hating copper to now LOVING IT. I won’t waste tools in early game but those new copper blocks make it soooooooo cool. They’re my new favorite blocks and I used to hate copper wirh a passion lol.
It's always fun to see you experiment and practice with building and to see how far you've come compared to your old simple and blocky houses as much as I like the one chunk videos, it's refreshing to see you play in a somewhat normal world
If ya post videos once a month, I sure hope ya see this notification I'm offering ya. For anvils, cover them with a chest on top & ya should get an infinite Anvil. A little hack I've had from Bedrock edition as I'm sure it works for Java as well, since Java was the original programming of the game. My anvil is surrounded by the chest, barrels & a grindstone, so storage & xp in 1 area. Surrounded anvils seem to not only function good, but not break. Enjoy...
I was kind of confused when I saw ‘8 hours ago’. I at first didn’t realise it was a new series, because the title it the same. I honestly thought it was some form of reupload until I started watching the vid
(4:55)They have absolutely nothing useful. Me: What about: - Golden Apples(for curing) - Enchanted Golden Apples(they're rare) - Obsidian(to finish a portal or make an enchanting table) - Gold Block(they're valuable and cool) - Flint and Steel(to light a portal and to kill animals) - Fire Charge(to light a portal) - Gold Armor & Tools(for disenchanting and blast smelting)
Thank you so much for the distraction. I'm stuck firmly on my butt for the next day or two and I really needed something to have going on to keep my mind off how much I'm hurting. So thank you, loving your vids!
The truth is, as long as you have underground, it matters not what biome you have outside. You can survive only in the caves, and that is much less challenging.
So, Nifty just casually discovered a way to get more dirt in a Skyblock challenge with spruce, thats huge. 17:33 Btw, you missed a diamond at 36:57, you got a really good vein there. ^^"
bro how did he find azalea trees i tried looking for them in my ice spikes only world and found 3 ruined nether portals and still didnt find any azalea trees
This world isn't created in vanilla minecraft, right? I mean, if you choose single biome ice spikes, surely lush caves should not be able to spawn? Since lush cave is a biome. So my guess is that this video is made with a modded world? I am judt wondering, because I cannot find any lush caves in my ice spikes only world.
You dont need to spam the ground so much with torches anymore! Mobs wont spawn unless it's zero. Shit, put your torches underground and put moss carpet on top
Idk if your team makes data packs, but would it be possible to make a data pack for a dungeon only world? Seeing you play on specific biome only worlds is super fun! And now since a lot of the newer Minecraft structures are jigsaw blocks, would it be possible to make it so they randomly generate in infinite directions? It'd be so cool! Thanks 🥰
