Amanda wanted to try something new, so she bought a mystery box of 100 DVDs! Will this be a big box of junk? Or a bunch of inventory for our Ebay store and some movies for us?
Match Point and Inside Llewyn Davis are great. Even if you don't generally like Woody Allen films, Match Point is something different for the director.
My favorites from this box are Pleasantville and Payback. I recommend both if you haven't seen either of them. The cool part of the version of Payback that you received is that it is the director's cut, which is actually quite a bit different from the original theatrical cut. It has a completely different 3rd act, and uses different takes than the theatrical version, which changes the tone of the film pretty drastically. The original theatrical cut of the film was made to be somewhat of an action comedy in the vein of Lethal Weapon, and the director's cut is more noir-ish, and more closely resembles the novel from which it is based.
