I'm going for the fall 2024 intake but recently I'm having self doubt MIT has been my dream college since 8th grade but I'm not really a topper student I'm an average student but I'm trying my my best to improve my grades in 12th standard and also improve my other part of the application like extracurricular essays etc but I'm really worried as MIT is very selective. Will my "not so good marks" affect my acceptance?

Hello ma'am, I passed from 12th in June 2021 with 92% and I'm currently pursuing my second year in Mechanical Engineering. However, I am dropping out from that degree and picking a major in Computer Science. My extra curriculars include playing Tabla and completing 5/7 exams in that, I was a passionate photographer and an automobile enthusiast, I along with some people helped in making a club of luxury car owners, photographers and other automobile enthusiasts from my city. The club hosts a lot of promotion events, drives and other activites. However, I had to take a break from photography, as I don't have a camera, and my family can't afford one right now. Along with that I'm working on my portfolio regarding my computer science major, and I would have a couple of projects to showcase in coming months. Along with that, I have a general interest in topics regarding science, which include astronomy, psychology. I'm also interested in designing and drawing, and I keep doing a lot of things regarding that in my free time. However I don't have any kind of achievement to showcase regarding these. Do I have a shot of getting into any of these universities under financial aid in the fall 2024 academic year?

Hi mam I had a doubt, Can I still get to a top US college? I´m from mexico, just finished my first year and I lost all the first stages of the IPHO (International Physics Olympiad) and IMO (International Math Olympiad) My school is not linked to any science fair institue neither they have any research opportunities, my teachers aren´t very good at teaching and in my first semester i got a grade of 9.5/10 and in the second a 9.2/10, while smarts kids at my school tend to get 9.8/10 or 9.9/10 (We do not use GPA systmem) and I do not have currently any extracurriculars and I´m not good at anything, and I have a tremendous procrastination issue, of course I want to improve my next year but I feel really sad and disappointed, do I even still have chances?
