For me, the most therapeutically satisfying part of this animation is the overexaggeration in the lip-sync. I love smooth lip syncing in general but this snappy hyper expressive way of doing it really lends itself to another level.
The shots where the camera perspective rotates around the scene are fantastic. I've never seen animation that gives the characters and world so much physical volume, and yet simultaneously holds up a middle finger to Euclidean geometry.
I absolutely love Aimkid's animations because it's literally like the animations you imagine in your head, except it's right infront of you. All of these are always so impressive. Well done!
Watching this again at .25 speed to look at each frame and the micro movements; its insane how talented you are, especially how young you are. Keep it up seriously.
You make every animation 500x more impressive than the last , it rly shows how much love u put into these I LOVE THIS (double comment from twitter bc i wanna give u boost on BOTH)
I'm seeing all of my favorite animtors in this comment section, it makes me so happy, also your the one who turned me into a furry, thank you Roxxie :3
The animation works so well with the music, this video is addicting enough that I've come back to it like 10 times in the last day cuz I can't get enough.
sometimes people forget youtubers are humans like everyone else and watch what they feel like but even i was kind of supprised to see DPadGamer on this video
aimkid is one of the greatest independent animators ive ever seen on the web. an iconic art style, the vibrant colors, absolutely fluid and fun animation?? not to mention they’re constantly working from project to project. i dont think the word “inspiration” could even cut it i swear the bar just keeps getting higher, god i waited months for this :) didn’t disappoint
I remember seeing the sneak peeks of the animation and being like “cool they’ll probably do a new lemon demon song maybe it’ll be one I haven’t heard before” and now here I am getting smacked upside the head with some GEC?!?!?! With heavy FLCL influences?!?!?! Is this an animation channel or what my mind actively looks like on a daily basis?!
This entire animation felt so scarily close to when you look out the window of a car and imagine a guy running along the side having an adventure on the music.
I know this has been said a million times already, but I swear aimkid hooks up someones brain to a screen, turns on some crazy music, and just uploads whatever crazy music video shows up in said person's brain to youtube. the stuff they create is like stuff I imagine when I listen to music. this stuff is super creative!
This is EXACTLY how I imagined stupid horse to pan out as a music video. Crazy plot, hyper-expressive animation, and a style that reminds me so much of 2000s emoticons, this is fucking sick!!!!!!!!
I love 18 fps honestly. It allows for more rapid but fluid movement and doesn’t restrict you to either a choppy quick-paced style or a smooth style and when you do choose to do either, it doesn’t make the other seem weird or out of place.
I think the scariest thing about Aimkid's animation style, (being extremely fluid) is that they taught themselves how to animate by observing. True talent.
@@feature.of.jarjar24 I completely agree. I'm just marveling at the fact that we're so lucky to see such talent unfold before out very eyes. Truly a time to be alive.
That's how I learnt art and animation. Nobody really helped me (my art teacher kind of did but not really.) I watched videos on how to shade better. And I learned how to draw things by looking at references. (I only need to do it once or twice either I rarely use them)
I remember that i got obsessed with this channel 2 years ago. I went frame by frame analyzing each stroke- I learned some things, and damn I really enjoyed doing it.
This is the most vibrant, expressive animation of yours yet. You know exactly how to communicate a song's message and tone through your visuals. Absolutely incredible.
I got a fixation on The Thief and The Cobbler recently and this video was one of the first things that came into my brain when thinking of modern day animations that can rival that film's animation quality. I think that speaks to just how transcendent this is.
its crazy how if i listened to sing this song on its own i would hate it, yet paired with this animation its... strangely enjoyable edit: rediscovered this vid a year later, felt like i should elaborate: the instrumentals are great, the mix of ska and (i think) grunge is great, but the lyrics and voice are UNBEARABLE.
@@daveraschke you wouldn't get it if you're not directly confronted to 100gecs haters everyday ruining everything that you love and bullying your favorite artists
