100 HOUR WEEK DOORDASH! (+ Instacart) - How much did we make? 

I'm a doordasher in Alton Illinois and I never work over 40 hours a week and the lowest Ive brought in a week was $719. Alot of people think the more deliveries the better but in reality it's not. I am very patient with my orders that I accept. Never take anything under $6.50 for 5 miles or less and I only take orders for 6-12 miles if they are 8.75+. I worked tonight and in 5 hours made $140. Stop taking orders that are $2.25-4.50 they just waste your time and your gas.

Congrats on making it to 100. I didn’t quite make it my first try, ended up at 87.5 hrs. I plan on trying again some time soon. I did make $1,857.76 in those 87.5 hrs…loving the gig life!

I respect you for working these long hours. No way I would ever do that driving around. I thought that 40 hrs of driving in one week was too much! These hourly wages are too low considering all the wear and tear on the car though. Door Dash, and Instacart should be paying at least 30% more out to drivers in base pay.

I appreciate all you door dashers! I order through door dash at least 3 or 4 times a week! Saves me a ton of time. I can oder right when I leave work get home(10 min drive) take a shower and by that time food will be at the door! Or ill order while at work because it gives me time to get about an extra 30 min of work done! I usually order the minimum to avoid the extra fees and always leave a $8 tip. Well worth it.

Hey man great video. Most I made one week doing Uber was $2000CAD. I worked for 85 hours, so seeing that you worked for 100 hours is crazy. People don't get how tiring driving is after 4-5 hours.

If your making less than 2k in 100 hrs thats no good atleast 20 per hr is where its at.. looks like u made under 16$ per hr on average and after cost id say thats 9$ roughly a hr..i dont think u need 30% on taxes id say 15%..so thats how i got 9 prr otherwise at 30% your around 7$ per hr which is garbage tbh..i did a 100 hr work week once and had over 2200$ averaging around 22$ per hr.. after gas taxes and car repairs i made roughly 1400 which is 14 per which id say is much better than 7

Tonight I’ve only drove like 5 hours and I’ve already made $150 bucks. Thursday nights have picked up, I believe it’s mainly due to football season. B Dubs & Wingstop are always jumping.

The tip baiting on Thursday may have been a complete mistake. I had this happen to me. A person I knew and shopped for thought that when the app prompted her to change the tip it meant adding additional tip, not the total tip. So I noticed a $0 tip and texted her if I did something wrong and she said, "No." It took her a couple of days to believe me when it cleared her bank account that I had gotten no tip at all because she misunderstood how to change/add tip, etc. She paypaled me the tip when she realized that I was correct.

I stopped doing Instacart over a month ago, it's just a mess of customers that are free to scam as they please. Even when contacting them indicating "out of stock" items, they will mark as missing, or pull your tips, or give bad ratings even though you indicated missing items. Not to mention, many of the orders are stacked where you are shopping/delivering more then 2 orders of 70-90 items on average. Small orders, I've had customers addon items like water. Not worth the time and effort IMO. Doordash shopping orders are far easier to do. *EDIT* Ha, I should of phrased that better 'like water' as in adding on extra items at will non stop.

How often do you gas up your car ? As a full-time dasher do you visit the gas station at the end of your day ? Love how you show the breakdown of earnings

The most I've ever worked in a week was about 80-90 hours a week for my last few months in grad school. I was doing research though so I could nap on our lab's couch while waiting on experiments to run 😴

I started doordash my first time and I gotta say I love it. I am a workaholic so having my own hrs and be incharge of me is great because my current job is amking me feel like I'm in charge of children when it comes to communication and scheduling. In my state it's always in the red and I rarely was sitting around waiting for orders.my first day I made 76 dollars and one order was canceled or something happened that picking it up was impossible. But I also started at 11 and ended at like 3 to feed my dog and stretch my legs with her and than it got crazy busy which if I kept going I probably would of reached 300 on my first day if I just kept going. My last order I got a 12 dollar order with an 11 dollar tip so I was happy.

This guy made more money in four days than I make in two weeks.. I just started dashing two days ago, gonna start putting in some more time and getting smarter with orders I accept.

I make 150 to 175 for a 6 to 7 hours

Trying to pack on the pounds? On top of your basic meals I would add a protein shake with about 2 tbsp of peanut butter and 40ish grams of protein every morning. Make sure you use whole milk. Fill up one of those shaker bottles and you’re good to go. Worked really well for me and I was skinny as hell my whole life.

Got me motivated to jump back into door dash. Miss the 10hour shifts cruising while making money! 😪

McDonald's in my market is getting dashers deactivated because sometimes you have to wait in the Drive-Thru for 2 hours to pick up an order that's why a lot of us have stopped accepting McDonald's orders

I've been doordashing on and off for like 4 months. Have about 450 deliveries completed. This is in New Orleans, or the suburbs directly outside, like less than 10 minutes. Picked up my daughter at the end of a shift where u barely made 14$ an hour to go and get our own dinner from Outback. Place out order at Outback there were 4 other dashers picking up at like 5pm. Waited in the parking lot and as outback takes forever, we took a dash while we waited to 5 guys that was basically across a busy street. 5 guys had like 5 dashers picking up with me. I dropped it off, it was only like 6$ but for 2 miles so okay. Went back to Outback to get our food and there was another 3 dsshers waiting. Thr market is so saturated, you can't even hardly schedule, and often it's for like 1 hour at a time. They just bring on as many drivers as possible so they can flood the system and get the trash orders delivered. I had a flexible job that paid 24$ an hour with benefits before the pandemic. Now I work part time at a Wholefoods for 15$ and hour and this b.s. with Doordash.i hope somebody finds some legal expoitation being done by Doordash and class action sues the fuck out of them. Like to be a part of that lawsuit as I can't pay my bills anymore. I guess it's just business but damn, did they have to cut us so deep? I'm was treading water before, now im drowning.

I look like a fool when i do safeway orders, I dont sprint, but i basically run. I aim to get a 10-15 second per item average, gonna laugh when LP one of these days tackles me, and i smack um with da lawsuit, use that to payoff my debt, and remainder to a few charities

If you drive normally and change you oil every 4k miles and rotate your tires and everything most cars these days can go over 200k miles with minimal repairs, but there are a few things that you have to stay on top of like replacing your timing belt BEFORE it breaks because if it breaks there's a chance it will cause huge damage to your motor. That's one reason i prefer timing chains. I delivered Pizzas for several years and i put over 180k on my Geo Metro and I drove a little crazy, but I always changed the oil.

Hope things turnaround for you Toni! And you are correct...doing gig work is not owning a business. You/we are subs for a business - the apps. I've been self-employed for over 12 years now and my only suggestion is to find a business that has a "recurring revenue" component to it. Example: Lawncare service. That account is earned one time via the sale and then it is serviced on a frequency (monthly? every other month?....etc) and as long as the job is done well, the Customer stays with that service. And....keeps paying. :) Another example: Open up a flower shop? You've bought yourself a low paying job where you just sit there when you are not preparing orders. And....just like most businesses, that owner has no clue on how many Customers will be buying that month. The key? Recurring revenues!

#TennisBalls Just to let you know since the start of the pandemic my husband who works for dollar general has been working 80-100 hours a week. They are constantly short staffed. Also he is hourly and not salary. He has stayed mostly around 80-90 hrs a week but has done 100 hours more than once. So yes there are jobs that you can pull 60 hrs of overtime for one week.

What happens if you run 60 hours of the best times of the day/week?

Actually another job you can get a bunch of hours is a job as a caregiver. I work as a caregiver for individuals with special needs and can essentially get unlimited overtime. Plus Most jobs you actually get paid while you are sleeping overnight at this homes, and clocked in all day over the weekends. It’s not ideal if you have a family but if you’re single and want to make good money it works.

Ahhh pandemic delivery pay....man....I started doing Doordash in July 2020. I was so spoiled then.

When it’s plus $3 on the weekend evenings I can pull in $150 in a little over 3 hours or ($40/hr)

Dam over 6000 per month rich boy the key is doing door dash at the peak of not reporting taxes for example my states 14500 if you make less than that in a job then no tax report needed.

had a cash pizza order yesterday. these are always 50/50 for a decent tip. it was lunch and I was a few minutes early and this was my first order. three and a half miles so no biggie. DD paid $2 - order to collect was $19.74. I arrive the crap hole trailer park and said "oh oh." and I was right, gal standing on her porch waiting for me and hands me $19.75.

I Just did my first 2 dashes in Tampa Fl..Been doing instacart fulltime and im doing very well. It seems like with DD its more about quantity and more driving..I dont mind shopping and am very familar with my Publix..Always orders popping up for 20$ to 30$ 2-5 miles away..Ill shop 50 items in 30mins..

Tip baiting is so shitty. Hardly ever happen to me here in LA with IC. I use to love the 5am Costco days where they left IC shoppers ok before it opened at 9-10am. Could do 2-3 70-80$ batches before 11am. Then do 2 more after lunch time and hit 300$+ in a day by 5pm. Those were the days. Sometimes I could get some 120$ batches… get to 400$ in a day. But I would only do Costco batches.

I just got a new car, I barely make $2,000/month working for them, my rent is $1,300 and my new car payment is $545 with insurance at $440. I do door dash for 3-4 hours during the day, make $50-$70/day and at the end of the week I am at $250-$350 giving me an extra $1,000-$1,600/month so my new car pays for itself and it’s insurance, plus a little extra from both my real job and doordash to spend or save. (currently just trying to save every penny I can) Honestly I never thought door dash was worth it, but now that I understand how it works more, I’ve been able to do decent while still not working myself to death

Most i made is $1,565.13 64 hours in a week if i did 100 hors id probably make 2k in a week but im in cali and we get GUARANTEED hourly pay at $14 an hour so that helps. So even if i did 100 hours with no tips cali drivers would still get $1,400 no matter what lol
