100 Hours Of Freestyle Practice...Here's What I Learned. The video that so many of you have been waiting for. My 100 hours of freestyling video is finally here. This video was a load of fun to make and covers things like the breezi flick, the ceiling musty, the wall musty and the double flip reset. My progress over the 100 hour period has been pretty insane and I am very happy with the result. My aerial car control is a lot better, my freestyling is 100x better and I'm generally having a lot more fun in the game. This video kinda covers some rocket league freestyling tutorial stuff, but you could see it more as a freestyling guide for rocket league players who are looking to improve as a freestyler.
Part 8 of my 100-hour tutorial series is back, and this time it's packed full of freestyling tips and tricks! This time I spent 100 hours freestyling . This is my master guide on freestyling. I hope you can take away from my freestyling tutorial and put in the kind of freestyling practise that I did while I was training. My rocket league freestyling and aerial control are better than ever right now and I hope after watching this tutorial or I guess... guide, that you can take on the aerial tips that I explain, and can then better your own freestyling skills. If you have come into this wondering how to improve your freestyling in rocket league, I hope you come out with a bunch of freestyling tips and tricks to get you up the ranks!
Everyone in rocket league wants to learn how to have good aerial control and car control like the pros at some point in their life. This is the freestyling tutorial and the aerial tutorial for you if you are one of those people. Freestyle practice and freestyle training in rocket league are the two things I have been focused on in the last month... which would explain why I put in 100 Hours Of Freestyle Practice... Here's What I Learned
This is my kinda how to be a freestyler in rocket league video, as this covers all the different things I trained, how I went about training them and how I spent my 100 hours training freestyling in rocket league. I hope you enjoy.

@Yatsu It does not make you a gc but you can for sure learn from watching urself. If you ever think your teammates suck, watch the replay and you "might" notice something about yourself. you will for sure see flaws in your positioning for time to time, You will also notice pass posibilities that you didnt notice ingame. I can go on. I have an idea that you actually havent tried and is just talking bs. Many people rewatch gameplay and many many gives the same advice. @@RuthlessTrix you do realise that his whole I spent 100 hours doing whatever series, was probably shot in less than a few hours LMAO and he just makes out it's 100 hours. It's not exactly hard, just record yourself doing ariels in free play for a hour or 2 then when editing the video put all your fails and shit goals at the start of the video and put the few nutty goals you do score at the end if the video and pretend it's from 100h of improvement. Very simple. And very misleading.

Thanovic, as a freestyler myself i have some tips. First for the ceiling breezi, often the ball was too low to get any height so u could have popped it up more if it is too high take a touch then do the breezi it helps a lot. Wall musty's r pretty hard but I suggest u pop the ball at a lower angle and aim ur car at a lower angle too this would help u generate WAY MORE POWER in the musty and u can easily get a double touch(sometimes it might even go to the ceiling). Double flip resets of urs r pretty good but u could go a little bit faster as ur double flip resets r sometimes too low and if ur trying this in a ranked match it would be easy to defend. For breezi's I have no tips u got it down pretty good. U can use these tips so that u could get more consistent.

For the double reset, try to pop the ball off the wall and then slow down your car for a split second then jump off. Also, try to pop the ball as high as possible so you have more time to do your setup.

@wosjam9427 3 года назад
jus one tip for the ceilling musty: your setups are innconcistant so the ball will some time go too low so you struggle to get there. If you try and perfect it you will get much more concistant with the shot

My video idea for you: Why your stuck at/community coaching... this wouldn’t be a tutorial but instead it would be a 1 on 1 coaching session with a person at each rank, tracking their progress over a little while, and hopefully seeing improvement and giving tips to everyone. You have done videos similar to this but many of them are general and spend little time on each rank and I think it would be interesting to see something more specific. I would be VERY open to being the first student(Gold 2). Love your vids thanks.

If you want to start learning double flip resets, you should learn to consistently preflip first. Preflipping on the ground is often useful for recoveries and gives you a good idea of when and how to flip into the ball to get the right touches. Once you have ground preflips down, taking it to the air becomes so much easier
@JohnJillky
@JohnJillky 3 года назад
Idk if you'd be open to doing this, but if so, try out adding air roll right to your aerial movement too. I switched to hybridized air rolling (general air roll in addition to air roll r/l) a bit ago and I feel like it's given me so much more control and freedom in the air (including going from the left and right walls for the same shots). Maybe the topic of another 100 hours video lol?

To anyone watching these videos to get a good reference as to what you want your car to do, don't watch only this video. There's a few videos out there that suggest this and I do as well. Try binding L1 and R1 to left and right air roll respectively. Just binding them does nothing though. You need to learn how to use it effectively. I spent around 1 hour or so in free play testing out the new bindings and here's a few key points I learned: 1. When following the ball out of the corner, make sure the ball is between you and goal. You want to be a little bit ahead of the ball or be really fast. When the ball is popping toward goal from the corner drive toward goal, jump and air roll the opposite direction of the ball. Then flip your car upright and you'll be facing the ball when it comes around the corner. This is also good for catching the ball for a block. 2. When using air roll to fly, it's hard to maintain good control of your vehicle. If you rotate the left analog stick in a circle as you go, at roughly the same speed you're rotating, you should stay on course as long as you're boosting. Correcting my trajectory mid-air is something I still struggle greatly with. 3. Always make sure you're in position to hit it toward your opponent's goal. If you're gonna smack it against the wall or against the corner, try repositioning yourself for the block or the recovery. You'll score a lot more goals that way. I'm no expert player by any means. Take my advice with a grain of salt as what works for one player may not work for another. We all play differently and there's no substitute for actual practice. Edit: Corrections and small addition.

Okay so there’s having an opinion but then there’s just saying “don’t do this”. People like different binds, you could have said “ you could instead try these binds”.

@@Thanovic I see what you're getting at. I'm sorry bud. To be completely honest. That was a typo. I meant to type "Don't only watch this video" or "Don't watch only this video" I'll edit that to fix it.

I'm plat so this is prob not that reliable, lmao, but for the double reset I have a method to make it a little bit easier if you still struggle. Instead of diagnal flipping for the second reset, you can front flip then cancel and your right under it. Keep up the content :)

I think 100 hours of defense would be cool. If not, you could try to make a new series where you do 50 hours of like flicks or saves

100 hours of playing in slow mo speed? Personally I would hate this, but a lot of pros have said practicing in slow mo can be beneficial. Seems like an interesting video 😂

I think I'm a bit late to the party and you do have a tutorial on flip resets, but is there any possibility you'd make one bout those where you pretty much flip immediately you get the reset and kinda like scoop it ? :D

100 hours of saves? Aka goalkeeping? After that passing. These are just suggestions for after you got your break! You deserve your break so enjoy it
