New Info: The Mark charm behaves exactly like the Shiny charm -- it grants an extra 2 rerolls at getting a mark (for three total). Edit: Heracross and Pinser are also Version Exclusive. I forgot to include them as I found them in online raids.
When you see one that will def catch you, turn around and run at it then use your accelerate to make a quick sharp turn left/right and go back to what you were doing. They can't really turn well. Don't gotta accelerate either if you know the timing.
Isle of Armor is kinda short in terms of story and you can just transfer pokemon from Home. It's a little disappointing how easily you probably can do everything, but then again this is only the first half of the DLC.
Now, everyone with a completed dex at the isle of armour will either be wearing a crown or Ash's hat if they have Zarude, like people who joined hacked raids
Also it speeds up the pokemon so that they can match your speed. The party I'm raising in my current playthrough has only one Pokémon that can keep up with me, and that's Urshifu. The rest are always falling way behind me. I don't care if it looks stupid, because that would be preferable to feeling like an A-hole because my Melmetal can only move at about 2 mph.
@@sorassmallunicornworld3418 I know, no one should realistically expect a turtle to be able to jeep pace with a child on a bike, even if that turtle is about five feet tall and stands upright. But it still makes me feel like a douche if I'm jogging or riding a bike around the wild area and I look back only to see my Pokémon trailing being me by about 40 feet because they can't keep up.
The dlc was great, love the isle of armor. But honestly i expected it to be longer in terms of story quest. They could have made the temples longer (maybe like the elite 4) and also they could have thrown some quests that force u to explore the new area more. While the addition of new content was great, i just feel it lacked depth.
It's literally been two days and I only have 20 pokemon left. Currently blasting through raids to get em. Edit: Now I have to get the Shield DLC because I got them all.
@@bairdl You can get a regular Slowpoke by getting 20 Alolan Diglett. The Slowpoke comes with a Kings Rock so you can just trade it to get normal Slowking.
I shiny hunt with no shiny charm and got a square shiny marked orbeetle. Thanks to this DLC I was able to make him gigantamax as well. (: Definitely took me all day and not 5 minutes though. xD
If you start a new brand game you can go to island of armor at beggining after you reach Motostoke city. Also it scales your lvl with enemy pokemon. First battle i did with Avery he had lvl 10 abra.
Pokemon acknowledged the glitch thank god. So eventually you'll be able to register transferred Pokemon straight into the game from HOME without having to move them manually.
I reset my game on shield and I just started off with the Isle of Armor pass in my inventory so I don’t think that sword will be any different. You just won’t get that introduction pop up to the Isle of Armor. You don’t lose the DLC don’t worry
yeah it's never been hard to complete the dex, I just finished the sparring battles, you get a pretty cool cosmetic, go get that then you're an actual gamer :)
Hey all, Pokemon fan here and have played every regular Pokemon game version to date. Just want to ask, is it possible to have fun with sword and shield without buying the dlc? What are you doing in the game that you're having fun with that doesn't require the dlc? Sorry, but the price of this dlc is very high...like worth an entire new game on the eshop... and I refuse to get it. But I did spend $60 on this game and am no longer playing it or having fun. Not the best investment imo. This game was not nearly as fun as black and white 2, sun and moon, or emerald version. Emerald is my all time fav, but sword and shield hardly have any post-story line options. I haven't given up on having fun with this game, but I don't know what activities are possible. It's literally an incomplete Pokemon game. Any tips?
If you collect 1,000,000 watts and spend them on the dojo there is a secret boss battle. Havent done it yet. Like this so Austin sees it so he can show us!!!
The workaround to register any pokemon from home to your pokedex just add them to the breeder and take it right out. This will register them to your pokedex
Howdy Austin, I think it was this video you mentioned that you had to do some trick with the daycare to get transferred Pokemon to register in the dex. I imported everything I could in from my living dex, and it was the case that they did not register, however after doing a few trades with my friend, they all registered. I'm not entirely sure how that works (I would imagine you have to trade a Pokemon that is not registered because it was transferred in), but if you figure that out, it makes things WAAAY easier than using the daycare. Thought it might be worth sharing with the community.
So I transferred a ton of pokemon from home to Shield, but they didn't register in the pokedex. Do I really have to go and catch all of the ones I transferred?
My starter Decidueye from Alola has a Mark (and also an Alolan Champion Ribbon) but I think it's my only Pokémon brought from Bank to have it. He is "Decidueye the Strutter" for his "particularly unique footprint" or something (Marks are weird).
Is there any way to complete the Pokédex (not just the isle of armor, the main one too) for someone that DOESNT have both sword and shield and doesn’t have Pokémon in Pokémon home from past games, and doesn’t have Switch Online? Because this is me and I feel like I wouldn’t be able to complete any Pokédex.
For some reason I tried both Pinser, Clauncher, and Clawitzer in the nursery but nothing happened to my dex, even though I have Shield. Is there something I'm missing?
Wait... so Kubfu is the Armor and if you complete the expansion dex you get a Crown... so what does DLC 2 give you? Is Calyrex be described as that region's Crown and completing DLC 2's dex gives you a suit of armor to wear?
It's true that should you manage to clear 5 battles in all 18 types in Restricted Sparring , then you'll receive a special outfit based on Mustard's outfit?
Dude? It’s been like 2 days, calm down and enjoy the game. It’s gonna be another 6 months until the next dlc so I’m taking my time lol. Great vid as always!
Austin Help!!!!! I have Pokémon shield and I bought the crown tundra pass am I suppose to be able to go to the isle of armor in shield and I never purchased the isle of armor ??????
Austin theres is this Crown island marked on the map. What is that place? Amongst all the places ive been in the Isle of Armor, that Crown marked island is the only place I havent been. Can you make a video in how to get there?
