It doubles as a great way to hunt for Easter Eggs and secrets in any but especially Halo games, probably my biggest motivation, it seems, not to mention grinding offline 360 Reach, 🥴 somehow, these days. 😋
I think it has to be a old Xbox 360 but maybe not for me when I was younger we played on the Halo 4 Xbox 360 and Halo Reach had so many cracks in the disk and most of the time it would crash so maybe it’s the disk or Xbox
The NPC pressure launches seem to be happening more often in recent months, and in multiple games. Particularly Reach, 2, and 3. I’ve seen Marines die to the Arbiter just by getting in his way.
2:52 I managed to time this farming method so perfectly that the second I reloaded a checkpoint the missiles were hitting like 0.1 seconds after loading
Hey I remember that glitch where Emile didn’t have the skull carving! I used to play Halo Reach all the time on my 360. And for some reason in the campaign, Emile didn’t have his skull carving on his visor. It happened a lot to me and I have no idea why.
5:46 the pelican doesn’t actually despawn. It just moves at light speed over to a second location. People eventually found this and tried doing what is called the pelican to pelican launch. Only five people have completed it.
1:57 at the time i had no idea it was a glitch so there was an ultra elite in the elevator stuck with me while i was doing laso SOLO and it was the scariest thing ever.
17:45 I played alot of splitscreen back then. Models like emile wouldnt have their full visor design and models in general would look really bad. They didnt show their knee guards either
When Emile launched you, it was because of the animation "taking cover", many grunts gets launched when climbing a crate for the same reason. Emile losing the skull texture is perfectly normal, because the game was splitscreen (many textures will despawn and enemies will fade way earlier, similarly to halo 3) The launch Emile does on the mongoose is to supposedly ensure you get over the bridge if you decided to be a passenger. But what you should try is placing the mongoose at the edge of the bridge, make him drive it, but don't get on the passenger seat. Doing so l, Emile will get launched at even higher speeds, straight to the direction the mongoose is facing
25:45 That glitch where you are driving in first person happened to me yesterday on custom games. I have the clip in my gamedvr, it's happened a few times in MCC, no lag, not sure what causes it.
Through some spawn minipulation at the corner mentioned at 1:55, my brother and I got along the intire outer wall of firefight section (edit) It requires one player to die while the other goes as far back into the corner as possible, moving back slowly if the dead player can't respawn. Opon respawning the just respawned player must spam jump but then stop before they reach the edge of the wall. Form there, use spawn minipulation to move as far along the wall as you want
There's a revenant glitch that's similar to the warthog glitch that I was able to do in PVP only once. I was driving a revenant when the host lagged. When the game resumed, I was standing upright driving the revenant with my hand weapon as the active weapon instead of the mini plasma cannon. The glitch lasted until the revenant was blown up.
@17:29 That's a thing that happens in splitscreen multiplayer to save resources is my guess. It did it on my xbox 360 as well. Not only would decals like that not load but also the eyes and teeth of elites would not load which was very strange looking.
The part where Emile gets a boost to jump the gap on Pillar Of Autumn is not a glitch, it's to make sure that the AI makes the jump as Emile's AI may not always be going fast enough to do the jump.
I'm pretty sure Getting into the Pelican chain gun, at 9:15ish is an achievement in the MCC version of reach, I believe the name of said achievement is called something like 'Jorge can't have all the big guns'
I had a big glitch I found with my brother in our laso play of reach. I’m a lot more skilled than he is so I usually pushed way far ahead and carried him. However I pushed to the Mac canon section of The Pillar of Autumn and he stayed in the smelting room. After a while, instead of him spawning up with me, when the door opened for him to move on to the next section, it opened to a view of my screen. It was so weird. Within the door was a cloudy version of my exact perspective and he couldn’t get through. Thoughts?
In nightfall during the opening cutscene behind the tree BEHIND June you can see the phantom from earlier just sitting there, my guess is it didn't fly all the way out of bounds
@28:15 I know this video is a little dated. But the glitch where your forge monitor fires a focus rifle is because of a specific purpose. The monitor is actually an enemy in Halo Reach (though never used) which was imported from Halo 3. They then made a copy of the monitor and made it into a player controlled monitor. They turned off the weapon use, however, the game files still have the default weapon as the focus rifle for the monitor. That's why you'll shoot a focus rifle for less than 30 in game ticks (1 second) as the latency lag hasn't caught up with the fact you're not supposed to shoot that weapon. So only you see it, but it never "fires" according to the host.
One that I came across a long time ago but always thought was funny happened in firefight; I managed to be under a drop pod location as soon as one dropped and I phased into the pod. I couldn't get out and nothing could damage me. The pod also never despawned
The glitch where Emile's Skull doesn't load in is a glitch that only happens if you do co-op. For some reason, having two or more players will cause a mapping issue on the visor. It'll do the same thing to the players if they are wearing the same helmet.
The thing about Emile hitting you into a wall and insta-dying is totally believeable I saw a video of Russian Badger where Emile did exactly that It was hilarious
I managed to do the Emile with no skull carving glitch way back in 2011 with my buddy, right before you fight those 2 hunters if you keep trying to kill Emile it’ll eventually just remove it for some reason. Granted not sure if I accidentally did something special but it did happen
Once on sword base, right when you were waiting for the doors to unlock after fighting the revenants, I boosted a stolen revenant into Kat by accident and kept pushing her along with me until she hit the top of the gates, where she flew into the air so fast I could barely see her moving when I watched it back. It was fun.
One I experienced a lot is on 360 coop. If you pause the game and then the other player presses pause to switch to their pause menu, the game unfreezes and continues with you still in the pause menu.
17:20 I haven't watched the full video yet, but I think I know partially why this happened. If you played reach on a lower end 360 (cheapest version, no hard drive/extra storage), Reach would be optimized to load a lot less detail than it normally does. I remember my Xbox was like this (it also went through the ring of death so that may play a part), and I couldn't load Theater Mode, as an external hard drive (or more storage) was required. A lot of character models were downgraded too, like elite models wouldn't have teeth! They looked like old elites with just gums and it was weird.
I also experienced that, but since my little brother and I bought ourselves a slim (one of the newer console models) it only occurred in Splitscreen never in Single Player, especially the based EVA-Helmet Emile and the missing teeth on elites.
I’d recommend doing the revenant launch on forge world with the mythic slayer game type with invincibility on. It’s really fun getting launched and slamming into the top of the map
My fav one from reach forge was really similar to the spartan lazer one but just involved you dying once you exited the forge ball, but to anyone else it just looked like you dissapeared. You did it going into the forge ball the second you died, (i only did from fall damage but im sure it would be possible other ways) was super hard but made for a neat little vanishing trick
Man seeing all these glitches really takes me back to when I pre-ordered legendary edition, beta tested reach (still got the avatar T-shirt) and played for years (and still play sometimes after all these years). Still rocking Recon since Halo 3 then though Reach then into the MCC, Vidmasters were a tedious thing but fun. I Remember rooster teeth, achievementhunters and Red vs Blue. I remember a lot of these glitches and found some of them myself then showed others (some of which put on RU-vid), some of them were mentioned and some not so much. The nostalgia and fun I had then brings a tear to my eye, sadly those days are long gone but not forgotten because Halo has become a shell of what it once was but hey at least the MCC is around for the new gen kiddos and veterans alike.
17:30 the skull-less emile is because of split screen on 360, it doesn't add the skull on any EVA-C helmets to save resources. it'll be there on the theater recordings. not really a glitch.
18:02 I don't know if this was patched in MCC, but this worked on the 360 release: On that level, with the metal forge pots, if you crouched on the edges and slowly (emphasis on slowly) waddled off the side, you wouldn't die in the "lava." Merely float above it... but you're also completely unable to jump. Also interesting note; grenades thrown in will not instantly explode but will also skim across the surface before detonating. This would work on any and every molten pot, regardless of size. Or at least that's my memory of how the interactions went. Edit: There was also some button combination for Covenant vehicles (left bumper? whatever it was, it wasn't used for anything on Human vehicles), which would lift the front of the vehicles up to varying amounts by the weight and speed of the craft. So you could end up ramping over obstacles that would otherwise be very difficult to even impassable otherwise. Incredibly fun with a Boosting Wraith. Shame there's no way to expereince the Halo 3 "Scarab Glitch" in Reach, but at least that still works on "The Covenant" in Halo 3 MCC ad 360.
Ay so I'm not crazy! 15:31 this glitch happened on my first playthrough of campaign on MCC Halo Reach on the sniper night ops mission. When this happened there was a lot of dialog that was very "stay low stay frosty" so because I didn't remember how it was supposed to be I just assumed it was supposed to be like, camo or something. Then I died very late in the level and respawned back in normal colors, and was like whhhaaattt????
The no skull Emile thing would always happen on my xbox when i was playing with the co-op iron skull on and died. At least I’m pretty sure that’s what made it happen
1:33 actually, if anyone doesn't believe - there is a moment which Elijah described in Russian Badger's video about Halo Reach. Emile actually just walks into him, killing Badger and launching him up into a wall
Incredible video and awesome narration On Halo 2, if you keep swinging the depleted energy sword walking into the next mission Metropolis then mash to skip the cutscene, should give you an unlimited ammo invisible energy sword.
I know how to make emile have no skull, I think it happens on the xbox 360 halo reach, it happens when you're doing splitscreen campaign and I guess the game makes it disappear then reappear to save resources
"If you do some specific movements and press some buttons, this cool thing will happen, you should definitely try it out" I definitely will with the in depth instructions
About 17:00: in the Xbox 360, in fact when you play coop in a single xbox (split screen) Emile doesn't spawn with the skull on the helmet. I don't know if this only happens while playing just with the AV cable, but with me was a common thing back in 2011-2012.
This isn’t a glitch, but in custom firefight, you could set the enemy damage to zero. From that point, if you see a group of grunts with 1 or more elites/brutes/hunters/skirmishers, and then kill all of the NON-Grunt enemies, the grunts will then drop their weapon and go suicide-grenade mode because the Non-Grunt enemies were viewed as their leader(s). Since they don’t have the ability to do damage, their grenades will explode and they will live, and then they will just follow you around until you decide to kill them. At one point, I had a clip on Xbox One backwards compatibility Halo Reach where I had 15 unarmed grunts following me and the clip was titled “Behold my army of filthy pacifists” I think it was 15 anyway. That clip was from like 6 or 7 years ago, so I’m a little hazy on the details, but I knew how to do it and wanted to see if it got changed at any point since when I stopped playing once I hit Inheritor 10 or 11 years ago. It had not and I was very pleased to have my useless army back. I’m fairly certain that clip was on my old Day One Edition Xbox One which I still have, but it doesn’t work anymore because a cat knocked a drink over onto it, which obviously fried it beyond any repair that I’d be able to do. Now I use it as a foot rest.
Emile didn’t have the skull on his helmet because they were splittscreening, idk if it still does it on mcc but 360 reach would cut graphic emulation in order to support a second screen when playing couch coop. Grass textures don’t all load in, lighting effects wouldn’t always work the same and yes, specifically I remember how Emile would not have his skull on his helmet while such circumstances are met. Mystery solved gang
This might not be Reach, but it still kills me thinking about it. And it’s a bug. I don’t know if anyone else has experienced it, but on H2A I was doing my legendary campaign… which is still ongoing thanks to what is about to happen to me on The Great Journey. I finally get to the banshee section on PC after ages of just dying and respawning, wanted to try doing what I normally do. This was the second time I had to restart (Eff you, Tartarus!) and I flew just above the beach section where the two wraiths are… the game had given me the ‘loading’ thing you get after checkpoints so I go and check out if the enemies are still there after five minutes of waiting… they’re all gone. But wait! It gets better! Johnson arrives to blow up the door, does so and at the moment I just think this is really convenient… so I head inside the now busted door and kill the brutes in the room. But that is when it happened. I spent 10 minutes trying to work out how I managed to (I think) soft lock the entire level, since now the door refuses to open. I didn’t play back for months but every time now it respawn me at those two darn wraiths before I even got the banshee. And on a lighter note, I managed to turn 343 Guilty Spark in the Library into a tornado during a different playthrough before H2A on Legendary even occurred in my timeline. All I did was jump on their head at the right angle.
I spent 29 days on the campaign on the 360 version as a kid and spent so much time glitching. Watching glitch videos from glitchers like T00LBOX, Generalkidd, and others. I used to show off the seraph glitch to people and it felt like such a flex. I’ve honestly done 95% of these over the years. I noticed there’s one big glitch you missed in the Halsey’s lab easter egg room. You can get out of the map by killing your friends and getting them to spawn outside of the glass near the back of the tunnel. You can also get out of the map where the entire defense sequence happens by hijacking a banshee and getting it through and invisible barrier.
Ok real quick...so the BEST glitch from this game I've ever seen or been a part of was my brother and I playing ONI Sword Base. We were at the point where you're supposed to go back to the door that leads into the base, but instead of doing that we were shoving Kat around the level with the gauss hog. I guess the game got tired of our shenanigans because I got glitch kicked out of the driver seat, and...where's my brother? Oh he's at the door that leads in to ONI base...with the turret. Just the turret...which was still fully functional. The hog was now just a two seater
Sorry I can't keep track, Luke I think? that Glitch that you showed at 22:00 is not a problem with the game. I recommend you make sure your hardware is (mainly Gpu) is working properly, drivers and all. I would show you what it looks like in other games (I got this a long time ago) but youtube seems to remove comments with links. If you want to see some screen shoots, just ping me on you discord server, I have the same username and icon.
Yeah, Emile pressure launch exist. If you want to see what it does (even though... I hguess you already know what it does), The Russian Badger got it in his Halo reach video.
I have a glitch that i don’t think anyone else has found in the og 360 reach. ( doesn’t work in the mcc reach.) if you put a scorpion tank on a 5x5 flat block and and have one friend drive the tank forward while another person raises the block very slightly by tapping RB to float up, the tank will zoom across the map in 1 frame. Iv never heard anyone else talk about it after all these years so i thought i would share if you ever make another video like this.
for the pressure emile glitch you mentioned, wherr you stand by emile and then get launched. In Russian Badger's video about Halo Reach, he shows a clip of it happening (in the part where he's talking about what he believes to be the most dangerous enemies being grunts and your own A.I. teammates)
Emile almost never has the skull on his visor when I'm playing reach on the 360 legendary. I dont remember exactly if it happened only with that difficulty or only in the 360
So the Emile glitch with the no skull happens on Xbox 360 Coop I seen it happen plenty of times and even effects players with Emile's helmet I have no idea If they ever patched it but I have an updated version of reach and other games on my 360 cause I never had xbox live then and my 360 connected to any internet.
I remember a glitch where you could take wheels off of UNSC vehicles, and still be able to drive them. I don't think its possible in MCC anymore, but you were able to do this with mongooses and Warthogs, and they handle so terribly on just two wheels. But it was possible, and I was entertained by it in 2012.
Ah the shoot the final shot to blow up the mongoose as you press the enter vehicle button glitch as the vehicle blows up but you have already started the enter vehicle animation so you are left with your character driving a piece of vehicle wreckage
I exploited the target laser thing back in the day by repeatedly disconnecting my xbox 360 internet to reset the weekly challenge so I could complete it over and over. Yeah my account progress got reset by Bungie back to recruit for that 😂
The Emile yeet happens because if the player is riding shotgun they don't want to risk Emile not driving fast enough and tumbling down the cliff. So they just you two across to prevent that
One think you didn't do for a glitch on the package mission, its only multiplayer only i could never get it but you do the whole banshee spawning thing and have someone take out both AA guns. you can ude the banshees if your good enough/fast enough you can board the falcon at while flying there, but the end result is s tiny basically unkillable player spartan smaller than a rat but normal size weapons. the enemies in the level cant rven hit youndur to your hitbox basically noping out.
28:16 there is more evidence of this in firefight in "Instalation 04" as in the station 2 area there is a forge monitor meant to be a nod to 343 guilty spark, and you can get a prompt for "swap weapons with ally" and it's a focus rifle. I do have photographic proof too
My favorite glitch in Halo Reach was activating armor lock in forge and having my brother erase all armor locks and becoming a wrecking ball We always had so much fun with this in a giant box with vehicles and seeing who would survive the longest
One you might know of but I didn't remember seeing in this video, you can screw with the physics of the game by setting the spartan/elites health and shields to 10% and speed to maximum and if you run into a placed turret you should die but also go flying at the same time. Mt friends and I set up entire obstacle courses using that glitch and it mad for the funniest moments ever
