It's fun watching these videos. I would have been very tempted to quit after the first 3 or 4 hands when you were up well over $100. I'm never looking to make a lot I like to put away small wins consistently
On Tuesday 8-24-21, at Morongo I was playing a triple play machine, never had played multi deck video poker before. Your Lake Tahoe video of multi deck play inspired me. Ebb and flowing my bets from min to max, I hit four 3's with an Ace kicker with a max bet. My $20 put into machine became $1035. I had already won $500 at Ultimate Texas Holdem(did not play trips once, but did play $2 buck progressive). This was my best day at a casino ever. Thanks for these videos, and the Casino Guide book!!!!!
Great video, as always, Steve. We took our first trip to Reno earlier this summer and had a nice time. It didn't hurt we were DEALT a royal flush (never been dealt one before, just drawn them) playing spin poker nickels and made $600 on it. Downtown Reno looked pretty desolate in places but the Riverwalk was nice and I liked that it seemed more diverse of an economy than Las Vegas in that it seemed to resemble a 'real' city. I really hope you guys are able to do a book again 2022. I suspect the casinos aren't offering much, but I consider a rite of passage each winter to buy your latest. Hope that's the case.

There used to be a penny 9/6 jacks 100-play at the Palms in Las Vegas. We would always play that machine on our trips there. It was a lot of fun, but it was hard to get on the machine because you would often find someone else on the machine and the worst part was that they were only playing five hands at a time!
Yiu should average a royal flush about once every 40,000 hands. So if you played 100-play video poker and played 400 hands that would equal 40,000 hands.
There is a strategy for playing video poker properly, but it's not counting cards. Read more, here - www.americancasinoguidebook.com/video-poker/how-to-play-video-poker-by-using-proper-video-poker-strategy.html
Hey, I just want to add something. You say in the video that for a normal video poker machine (one handed) you can expect to get a royal flush every 40,000 hands. Then you claim that for 100 play machines, that number is once every 400 rounds. I see your math and reasoning, but that is incorrect because each hand is NOT independent. These 100 hands are all tied together by the fact that they have the same starting cards. If you initially hold a pair, there’s a 0% chance that any of the 100 hands will be a royal flush, so that isn’t actually 100 distinct hands. It isn’t once every 400 push of the button, but rather a far more complicated computation (which will be less than 40,000, but far more than 400). I love these videos though! Please keep posting them!
May I ask your strategy with the playing to get points on your players card? I understand getting some play so that the casinos send you various perks and such, but if you were to gamble and lose a lot of money would that really be worth say a free room? Granted you are playing VP so I suppose the losses are minimal? I really enjoy your videos thank you!
We have gotten 10 free room nights so far this year and we don't have to pay any daily resort fees on our free rooms. We have another free room night coming up in October and, if we go to Las Vegas we are eligible for another seven free nights. So, in total, that would be worth at least $1,800. We are not trying to make a living off the casinos, we are just trying to play for fun and get the best benefits in return for our play. Each players club is different so you need to find the one that would work best for you for the games you like to play.
At that casino it was $5 for one credit on slot machines, or $10 per credit on video poker. Most casinos always make you play more money on video poker to earn a point because they make less money on it. That's why it's a good game for casino players!
That games was 9/6 Jacks or better. You can see it on the pay table in the machine. It's all explained in this article - www.americancasinoguidebook.com/video-poker/how-to-play-video-poker-by-using-proper-video-poker-strategy.html
Video poker is not a rigged game. It is the best game to play in a casino and we play it all the time as our game of choice. Learn why, and more about it, here - www.americancasinoguidebook.com/how-to-play-video-poker.html
