In North America the term Arrowhead is often used for most any finished projectile, When in fact most "arrowheads" over 2 inches or 5.0 centimeters long and thicker build are usually atlatl darts, The Bow was a very recent invention in the Americas, where as the atlatl has been in use for thousands of years around the world many arrowheads are small knives and cutting tools that could suffice as a projectile point if need be. Also what are mistaken as large spear points or heads are often Knives and cutting tools. Because of their well crafted symmetry and artistic craftmanship & styles. Many knives are reworked into smaller projectiles and tools when broken.

I think so too, most of them were found in pretty much the same spot, a few meter square. Pulled out of the ground by badgers lol. Thank you kindly for your message and watching too 😊😊

Paleontologists date the invention of bows and arrows in the Paleolithic period, about 71,000 years ago. Based on archaeological evidence of arrowheads and cave paintings, they assume that prehistoric people used bows and arrows to hunt. -

Following Paleo and Archaic they've dated the earliest arrow points in North America.
