@@gabbyz2164 oh so sorry about my late reply! but what i know about togashi and his works is that he never queerbaits anyone into thinking his characters are LGBT because if there is subtext, then they most definitely are, or he wouldn't make the characters come off that way. he's created a couple of other lgbt characters in his manga as well, but what i know is that the editors of the company he wanted to publish hunter x hunter under did not approve of openly lgbt characters. i don't think that stopped him from hinting at it though through subtext, interactions between characters, monologs, so he wasnt completely prevented from integrating what he wanted to
I watched hxh when I was 12 and I rewatched it now at 22 and realized killua is so in love with gon. I'm not sure if gon's feelings towards killua are romantic or platonic but surely it's more than friends and if anyone's denying killua's feelings towards gon they're clearly blind. Like even with killua's character development building emotions, making friends for the first time I don't think he'd go that far if he wasn't in love. Also didn't killua's japanese voice actor also said this. I hope in the future when they meet when they both are adults killua confesses to gon

I have this theory that Gon is a Pansexual Demi. Killua wanted to hide the fact that he saved Gon in S6, because his love language is acts of service, so doing something so huge for Gon would be like admitting he was in love. Conversely, Gon's love language is words of affirmation, and he's constantly telling Killua how he's amazing and his best friend and how he's so glad they met.

In that one scene where Killuas was talking about gon being light.. I think it was so beautiful. Truly. I think it's so romantic in nature. I'm not too objective on this, but I really do believe that this is the exact moment Killua fell in love with gon and started to realize he felt a bit more than friendship towards him. It's killua respecting Gon for who he is and realizing that he is light and he always has been, he's the one who saved him and who's always been so bright and optimistic and always makes the best out of any situation. In this scene, Killua lets himself down in Gon's light, allows himself to feel this ''wow'' moment of pure admiration and love, and it's absolutely beautiful. (MAJOR SPOILERS) That's why I felt like crying when Killua was watching Gon sacraficing himself to kill Pitou. I remember his look being filled with despair because he was about to lose the one person he loves most in his life, his light.

Authors don't usually confirm these things. I think he did mention that he originally intended HxH to be more queer and the producers didn't allow it, but that doesn't mean the current versions of Gon + Killua are queer). I have seen an old tweet from him where he was apparently confused by Gon + Killua being shipped. It may have been coy since he must obviously at least know that they look pretty gay together.

Killugon is just so adorable. I love it. This video was in my recommendations and I instantly clicked because... it's HunterxHunter content and I love [number] of reasons why videos. The funny thing is, when you got to reason #9 (Killua's theme song), I had to rewind to make sure I wasn't seeing things. I didn't expect to see my musescore arrangement of "Ginpatsu no Shounen" on the screen. I squealed so hard xD (I've never seen anything I've done show up in someone's RU-vid video before).
