A fun trick to this puzzle very few know about. If you just pull hard enough with all your might, the whole thing comes apart and is solved. I was able to beat it in about 2 seconds with this method.
Reminds me of the Tower of Hanoi puzzle. Repeatedly performing and undoing the same actions until you are able to move the pieces further down the line. It's a very impressive design. Unfortunately, due to the nature of how to solve it, that red piece will eventually wear away due to friction long before the rest of it.
I thought you were just showing us how the pieces moved. I'm looking at the time tick down, wondering how you're gonna solve it if it takes so many moves with the time you have left. Kinda getting disappointed that you might say, "learn how to solve it in the next video." Then it just magically pops apart in the last second... 😂
Maybe I'm just a nerd but I'm almost thinking this thing works like how you count in binary or trinary: move a piece so many times to set up the next one, then it can move, then go back to the first, and the sort of "feedback" keeps getting carried down the line like how in binary you only get a 1 in a new column once every column before it has a 1, and you add another 1 - making the rest flip to 0s. I realize this probably sounds like the ravings of a madman but like I figured it was better to say it that way than call it a chain of flip-flops in a logic gate ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is exactly what I was thinking! Each piece is a binary number place and has either a 1 or a 0 value. As each piece moves, the binary value rolls over to the next one in line
Am I the only one who was completely aware that he was solving it while he spoke? , and I was not surprised when he solved it at the end of the video, but I just liked that he finished the solution while ending his speech smoothly.
I've never seen a puzzle like this before, I love the fact that it has so many steps and is expandable. You can't even cheat by watching someone solve it unless you have a perfect memory. I'd definitely buy this. How long did it take for your first solve?
Wow, a binary counter puzzle! Never thought I would see something like this Basically like Tower of Hanoi where it exponentially increases each time a new layer is added
