Hello Everyone! Thanks so much for 100 subscribers! This is honestly a milestone! I didn't think that this channel would turn into anything, but I was proven wrong! To celebrate this, I made this Trilingual Version of "Brabançonne" edited by me! I took the French, Dutch, and German versions by Helmut Lotti and put them all together. Thank you so much, everyone! Enjoy!
I do not own any of the pictures or the music. No copyright infringement intended. However, I did edit all three versions of the anthem to make it into one. If you want to use it, please just give me credit! Thank you!

To those Belgians out there, I have a burning question about the Belgian National Anthem: If the reigning monarch of Belgium is a Queen, would the last line change? For example, instead of “Le Roi, La Loi, La Liberté”, would it be “La Reine, La Loi, La Liberté”? Thank you!

National Anthems of the World Good evening from Brazil, dear. Although I am not belgian, I might be able to shed some light on this question. Until recently, Belgium could not have a Queen as de facto monarch, only males could claim the belgian throne. The law regarding this was abolished and Princess Elizabeth, Duchess of Brabant, heir of Your Majesty Philip I will be the first Queen of the Belgians in the future, when Belgium will be more than 200 years old as an independent country. I don't think Belgium will replace "Roi" for "Reine" because it does not rhyme with the rest of the phrase. The UK does, but the english words Queen and King sound very similar. Hope I could help!

As a Belgian, it well be changed to la reine, la loi, la liberté/ voor Vorstin, voor vrijheid en voor recht/ Gezetz, und Königin, und die Freiheit hoch. That was already discussed in the parlament. It is also logical, you sing the Brabançonne at the present time. So if we have a queen, it logical to be loyal to the queen! ;) Though Victor Henriaque is right that it does not rhyme but the whole does not. The only problems are in Dutch and German because you get an extra syllable (in) that will change the rhythm of the sentence

This is only the anthem that mixed the languages of Dutch, German, and French (I guess)

No, there's a version for each of the 3 languages. He did the job of mixing them. If you pay attention you can sometime hear it but he was lucky that the same singer sang it in the 3 languages.

How could one tell? I was laughing too hard. Did someone roll dice constantly to decide which line was going to come and in which language? Early on I thought well one stanza will stay in German but,,, NOPE last line in French. Some lines were from the standard and some lines were from extended versions of individua languages.

Je ne connaissais pas cet hymne national avec ses différentes langues. Très bien interprété avec le tour de force de passer d'une strophe à une autre dans une langue differente. Le jour où nous pourrons chanter un hymne à la gloire du Roi en France, ce n'est pas pour demain, hélas.

I’m actually wondering what the correct version would be. On Belgium’s website the lyrics are way shorter than this version. Although this lyrics must come from somewhere, or was it created by the singer of this version? According to the website, our national anthem would only be about a minute long. The hymne has been changed multiple times in the past and it has been concluded that there is no single official version of the anthem. The website states that only the 4th paragraph of the lyrics made by Charles Rogier is to be regarded as the official version. Concluding with the official lyrics according to Belgium’s website: 'O dierbaar België O heilig land der vaad'ren Onze ziel en ons hart zijn u gewijd. Aanvaard ons kracht en het bloed van onze adren, Wees ons doel in arbeid en in strijd. Bloei, o land, in eendracht niet te breken; Wees immer u zelf en ongeknecht, Het woord getrouw, dat ge onbevreesd moogt spreken: Voor Vorst, voor Vrijheid en voor Recht. Most commonly there is a standard stanza in French, then German, followed by the Dutch. The three stanzas basically say the same thing in the three languages. The Dutch slightly adhering less to the other two. If one is singing it in a specific community it might be that a fuller version in one language would be sung or played.
