100 Things ONLY in Minecraft Bedrock Edition 

Actually, Bedrock boats are now crafted the same way as in Java.

The shovel recipe for the boat is updated along with the barrel one the boat had the shovel removed and the barrel was mimicking Java where has planks and slabs

Not being able to catch pufferfish and tropical fish in jungles has definitely changed for Bedrock. I live in a jungle biome on my friend’s world and I’ve caught them both!

I've been playing both versions for years now (Java for basically a decade) and my personal opinion is Bedrock being straight up a better version of the game

On Bedrock Edition, Tridents are actually much stronger. The Impaling V enchantment on Java only applies to some aquatic mobs, but on Bedrock the enchantment deals more damage to ANY entity that is touching water/rain.

As a long time bedrock player it's weird that Java doesn't have all of these things. I love living in snow biomes in bedrock for that exact reason, when it's snowing, all trees turn white it's so pretty. This was always my favorite feature. I knew about baby squids but BABY DOLPHINS?! Never seen them but now I have to! Always wanted baby dolphins in the game. P.s. about the ability to color clothes in bedrock, you can also get many shades by mixing colors. Like pastels? Add white dye to pink cauldron water and it will make a lighter pink. You can add white dye till it makes white water, but in the process, you will go through many pink shades

The fact that you can't catch puffer fish or tropical fish in the jungle is actually 10x more useful than anything 🤣

They removed the ability to craft a cobweb into nine string for "parity" despite the fact they could've just added it to Java edition.

Here's something: in Java, the pillagers can eventually use the durability of their crossbows and become no longer hostile. This can't happen in Bedrock, as their crossbows last forever.

As a former bedrock player, I miss a lot of these features, except the boat crafting recipe

I thought baby villagers looked weird in Java. I've only played Bedrock since 2015. Also, if you load Editions in Bedrock, you can customise superflat worlds to have villages, however this version also has limited world size, so you'll only have villages for the first couple thousand blocks.

Okay, bit of a fun fact on the boat paddles, this actually went through a few changes. For one, it used to be crafted with a shovel even on PC, but they eventually dropped that. Secondly, there actually used to only be one paddle visible on the boat, and you had to operate it like you had a single paddle, alternating between left and right to go forward, which they also dropped. And finally, there used to be a rowing animation for the player. Which yes, they also removed.

#101: It's okay to kill all of the spawnable mobs in an area (like sheep, cows, pigs, etc.) because they can respawn. In Java, you have to preserve them if you need them later. This also means that it's easier to get brown pandas in bamboo forests as you can just clear the area of passive mobs to roll for more.

#59: This has been updated. You no longer need the wooden shovel to craft a boat. The barrel is cheaper, too.

It is best to understand that if you're too used to use one edition, stick with it or start with that edition. There's nothing wrong or no wrong edition. Play as you please and have fun

12:05 actually bedrock edition has the same number of seeds as Java edition As of some version between 1.17.0 and 1.19.30 I am not sure which update it was blamed it exactly but they did make it so that bedrock has the same number of seeds as in Java edition.

At one point in Bedrock you could have your horse riding in a boat with you, unfortunately they removed this feature not too long ago making traveling a little more tedious.

Bedrock is for tough people with great physics. Java is for enjoyment. Edit: I am a java player but i like the physics and things of bedrock versions.

Something else that I just noticed yesterday: boats in Bedrock no longer require a shovel to craft.

You know how many worlds I’ve lost on Bedrock due to corruption? Four or five. Java? Zero. Bedrock is a perfect example of the form over function trend in gaming. Microsoft is more concerned with pretty and cute than performance. I’ll never touch that version again.

Most of these are now changed since they fixed it and made both versions have the same features, like the boats, barrels, and I believe seeds are the same now as well

The reason I prefer crouching to use the shield over right clicking is the fact that I can still use my items and it will auto block when I stop using items. Also combining Shields with Swift Sneak 3 is Op in Bedrock, but on Java it doesn't really work because you have to right click instead of crouch. And also if I'm crouching near the edge of a high place the shield will be automatically active. So in my opinion Bedrock shields are much better than Java shields, but I'd still like to see L2, LT and Right click for Bedrock.

A Potion of Decay should probably be brewed with a Wither Skeleton Skull. The reasons evokers, vindicators, piglins, and piglin brutes appear in Peaceful is because they generate with structures. I just wish it applied to elder guardians too.

As of 1.19.30 a few of these things have changed. (at least on windows ten) boats now no longer need a shovel, the cobweb to string crafting recipe has been removed 😢😢😢 and the barrel recipe has been changed to match java. Also At 14:50 swords with fire aspect can also light tnt which is convenient for nether mining to not have to craft more flint and steel. and also another fun fact in bedrock if you wear a mob head or pumpkin then you become invisible to locator maps.

At 6:01 discussing snow, there is a downside to the gravity effect on bedrock edition (which I play). You can sink into snow if it is one solid block or more and you keep sinking until you hit a solid surface, around the same speed or faster than falling through spider web. This also has a damaging Frostbite effect. Wear leather boots to stay above the snow!

ive not seen it mentioned but, the wither doesnt only have increased health. it will spawn wither skeletons and does significantly more damage and the wither effectt lasts WAAY LONGER on bedrock. if you dont go in with some protection 2 diamond gear you are screwed. that thing is no pushover

Did you know, Java edition is coded with "Java" (Of cores) and Bedrock with "C++" so they can't really make it the same for both versions as bedrock is for almost every console but they are adding 1 block crawling to bedrock! so that's a big change

Impaling enchantment works differently, in Java it deals extra damage to aquatic mobs (Guardians, squids, turtles, dolphins) In bedrock Impaling deals extra damage to mobs in water or in rain, making it and the trident much more useful.

I have played Java edition once and that was recently, so I'm not certain if it's the mandela effect or what, but I remember a lot of the things from Java being in the Minecraft Xbox 360 version. The 2D bobber especially. I miss those days...when Minecraft was simple, me and my friends would play on worlds for days before starting over the next big update...

Bedrock might look better but Java is more customizable, you can get mods and texture packs for free on Java, you can’t easily get mods on bedrock, there just a resource pack wanting to be a mod, and Java is not as buggy.

As a Bedrock player recently playing on Java. Shields are better on bedrock because you can attack while holding them up. Java you have to let go of right-click first.

Bedrock Is the harder version of Minecraft, a hardcore bedrock version would be super hard. for the bug thing, i never had any bug with bedrock, while a lot with java. The bug thing is only an excuse for java who can't beat it, on java is lot lot lot easier, it ruins the fun.
