wanna see the option to turn off colour dependent gear (looking at you welders mask that looks terrible in blue). I also think an ability that hides the fact your special has been charged for 5-10 seconds but the penalty is 20 points for special. idk how broken it'll be lol
Quality is insane on this, amazing job. I love the idea of gear trading, and as for the earrings and hats, its possible some gear pieces could include both like they do with hats and glasses. I'd also love the amplified music that would be awesome. Side note: The LDE description there is Splatoon 1 LDE, hence why its less savers and has QR*

Or maybe they could add a fourth optional gear slot called the accessory slot. This slot would have no ability, and thus would grant no competitive advantage, so you can leave it empty if you want, but in this slot there could be earrings, glasses, and other small, well, "accessories" to further customize your character. I think this would be a cool idea, and having more customization is always good.
@@CJ_Hyperfresh I commented before actually watching the video, and it turns out that you had pretty much my exact same idea, although I think it would be better if the fourth slot didn't have abilities, do people who already feel complete without an accessory can easily go without one. Otherwise you're kind of forcing people to wear an accessory, this wouldn't be a problem most of the time, but it could affect some people who already have a gear set they like and don't want to change. I know they could do something like the fake contacts again, but that's restricting them to one ability and thus would put them on a disadvantage. Basically, the fourth slot should be only aesthetic , designed for people who want some accessory to feel like their gear set is "complete", and if the player doesn't want anything on the fourth slot, they can easily leave it empty, without having a huge disadvantage in game play.
Imagine a passive multiplayer hub where you could see other players walking around in real time similar to games like Sky Children of Light. It would be fun to dork around an apartment complex with other players in-between matches
WE NEED THIS: WE NEED TO HAVE THE ABILITY TO USE WEAPONS IN THE HUB. (but not actually be able hurt others. Be able to shoot ink but like Callie the person you shoot can shake off the ink)
@@TightSweaters4 Squids might be able to mix some sort of toxin into their ink when they want it to be lethal. That might also explain why the opposite team in multi player doesn’t just die when splatted, they only use a small amount of toxin or it’s just the respawn thing, the latter makes more sense but it could be both.
You mean like, the square? Idk, the hub part is supposed to feel like a lived-in city, and world building is like a main focus in Splatoon. Randomly having one of the Inklings vandalize public property and disturb peace with a paint gun that's normally used in a sport with no consequences wouldn't really make sense. Plus it'd be pointless, the slow movility isn't even a problem in the hub, there's literally a menu that takes you to any shop or important place.
For apartments I think they should be added a little later on in the game (some time after the first splatfest probably), that way the developers can forces on multiplayer, balancing, and having time to slowly developed the apartments for players. (Also I think it would be cool if some players had apartments in different locations like some people live in splatsvile, some people live in a nearby town, or some people live in a house little buddy and another inkling/octoling. Just to make the apartments seem a little more special.)
The day and night cycle is something I never thought I wanted in Splatoon but now do. Also, I remember in the first game when we had an actual apartment and thought we would see our rooms at one point
2:30 bro when I got the first splatoon years ago that’s exactly what I thought they were gonna do. The most variation we got outta the commands was it turning into “ouch” when you die
I want the amiibos to give us their clothes, for example lets say i used a Callie amiibo, and it gives me the clothes she uses on the news, and for the hero mode gear you should be able to do quests for it. I think that would be a great idea!
I really like the idea of apartments being customizable with objects you purchased in that store you mentioned. This could be expanded to a massive degree like imagine if players were able to actually view your apartment you customized; better yet, what if those players were able to view your in-game stats by doing this? Like there could be an option to display your total ink coverage, or for them to view your gear; which would tie in with that trading idea. Nintendo could really do away with this!
You forgot: 1. A tutorial and practice mode against AI for the ranked modes so you can practice without having to risk your rank. 2. Add more maps to the rotation, or allow players to pick 1 of a set number, then it's chosen at random like in Mario Kart 8 multiplayer. 3. Ability to change ink color in the hubworld so you don't have to do matches to get another color. Personally, I want a feature to kick players that are throwing matches to squid party or do nothing in Turf War. I get some people like to do that cause "that's just how they have fun", but when everyone else is inking turf, do something, even if it's at the last 10 seconds, or at the very least don't be the toxic ones that stop other players from inking turf if they decide to ignore the party. If there can be a way to make a room for people to meet and squid party so they don't do it in matches, is fine with me. I am aware of the age old "well leave the lobby" or "go play ranked", but 9 times out of 10 the lobby was all people playing the objective then the partier comes in trying to convert people to party. And for the "go play ranked", some people just don't like ranked, and with the inability to choose which mode you do like to do, you're kinda sol for 2 hours.
i agree with all of these but some things i would like is customizable hair for example: choosing the front of the hair, back and any ponytails or buns, and a color weal for eye color too, one of the splatoon devas said they are adding more hair styles and stuff bc they want peoples characters to have more individuality, and have more slots for gear like, t-shirt, gloves/bracelets/rings, glasses, hats and earrings, and shoes and maybe socks and add more pants bc ngl i kinda want jeans or just make them something you can buy, this would give us more things to buy and we would have more ✨individuality✨also for the keeping the same color thing, let us choose the color we want to see every round
Very underrated and good points i like the idea to use custom kits but an added one for salmon run is to choose your special at the start instead of always getting random ones

I think weapon accuracy should stay the same because weapons being inaccurate is part of some of their designs. Of that change was addded the .52 gal would have to be significantly reworked to stay balanced and would ultimately no longer feel unique, it would no longer be the .52 gal. Other than that great video

This is the best "What Splatoon 3 Needs" video I've seen! I agree with most of your points. I would also add that I want better matchmaking for Salmon Run. Most people are Profreshional, but there is still a lot of diversity in the skill base in Profresh. (100s get paired with 100s, 400s with 400s, etc.)
3:30 For gold syncs and for player lobbies, I propose Cribs, or some better pun like Squid Caves. An apartment that you can customize with furniture and vanity items where you can stay in and play mini games, and while queued for a game to start you and your teammates are shown interacting in ether one member's crib, or they always appear in your crib.
9:44 this is already sorta in-game. When you go to redeem a drink ticket it shows you what brand(s) have that common ability, but it doesn’t show what’s uncommon.
I think all of the weapons should have a Base weapon, and then when you play enough with that certain weapon you unlock the other variations of it. so you would have the base weapon would have the variations underneath it greyed out indicating that it's locked
#201 Add an second special next to the first special option (which would be called giganto Splatadoe) (and how will the go back the same length of the battle?) Every 1 splat of the main weapon shrinks them back to normal in ranked battles, turf, pbs etc. (Absolutely giganto mode like super mario brothers.) Elaborative objective: If it's turf war for 3 minutes, an giant mushroom will be put in both teams whenever one of their teammates use it, They get to splat bigger platforms of the map that's on top of the regular platform on which every inkling else is splating) for special time limit and then shrink back to the regular maps and growth special will recharge for 50 seconds (for gaming mechanics section.) Any more you want me to eloborate, I'm here to continue explaining more. This was Simple and new plain idea.

Love the video! Instead of the "time of day in the game follows the player irl" i'd rather have some kind of cycle where each match is in a new time of the day, and when you return to the hub it's in the same time as your last match. My only concern is that every player should have the same amount of visibility, therefore everyone should have the same time of day. So maybe a random time of day would be better🤔
I think that turf war should be in ranked mode for splatoon 3. I really like it, but I would enjoy it more if it was in ranked so I can play it with my friends in league. also, I think a no risk version for the other modes would be cool as well
I remember a splatoon 3 concept i saw a while ago that you could probably find pretty easy through google or something and it said that a weapon class could be an anchor that sprays ink and they called it an "inkhor". I really hope that nintendo adds it. maybe a wee bit faster than the dynamo swing and short ink range but REALLY huge damage up close. I probably sound redundant but I'm thinking that it should have (if they add something like this) Dynamo swing speed or a lil faster than that Little bit more range than a carbon roller Kill range is basically an extended carbon roller hitbox I want it to be a tanky slow heavy-hitting weapon (IF IT GETS ADDED)
For another new weapon class I was thinking something where like it charges like a sniper / heavy splatling but instead it makes it do more damage. Every time you shoot with it it could go further per charge or even have a better splat amount (more ground coverage) and when fully charged it could also do a quarter of a persons health per hit but to shoot it you have to spam click it. Idc what it is called or looks like
it would be cool for the apartments if you could also share one with your friends and decorate it simultaneously, or be able to invite them there for fun as well
I mean, Callie does sort of give a weapon of the day, but yes. Ways to diversify the casual meta. Imagine what my life would be like if I still avoided the explosher like the plague for being green...

I feel like it would even work with the 3 motif they have going since agents 3, 4 and 8 are a trio. 4:14 Technically, this already exists: if you go to visit Callie and Marie in the Octo canyon, Callie will tell you some info and even what's the weapon you should use that day. And Marie comments saying that you shouldn't trust these things that much.
Realistically, room codes instead of friend codes would be a massive change, because that means the entire backend got overhauled, instead of just iterated upon (which is what I'd expect).

Additional point for Salmon Run: A way to see records. I know that you can see some when talking to Callie and Marie (randomly, why Nintendo) but they are only the records and averages of the past 50 shifts. Certain stats should be permanently saved like most Power Eggs and Golden Eggs.
